I am so sick. I have a sinus infection and obviously not able to take anything for relief. My OB did say I could take Tylenol though, so there's that. This is the pits.

Me too girl, me too. If you truly have a sinus infection you should be able to take antibiotics. Tylenol is such a joke, it does nothing for me. I was sinus-y my entire pregnancy last time and it's shaping up to be the same this time around.

Ugh! Sinus infections are the worst. I had a sinus thing around 5 weeks. My best friend was a NeilMed Sinus Rinse. It helps get so much gunk out and med-free. If it persists, ask your doctor about getting abx.
cocobellaf , I'm sorry things have been so rough. I felt almost exactly like that the past two weeks. Thankfully for most people all the nausea and puking is gone by second trimester and things get much better. Hang in there!

Hmm the doc said it was a viral sinus infection so antibiotics wouldn't help. I'm like well crap.

+1 to Neil Med! I have frequent sinus infections and ear infections and it really helps

Hugs cocobellaf! And hugs for all the sick ladies!
Last time my second tri was glorious, I felt energetic and had a cute little bump. I hope your second tri brings relief and you can enjoy your pregnancy!
We are starting our 2016 planning process at the new job this week (I started here on Nov. 16, transfer from within the company) and I feel like such a fraud being assigned projects that are happening in Fall'16, when I know I will be out on leave. Ugh....trying to hold out until Jan to say anything to boss but I feel so bad!
I'm supposed to go to a conference in early April. I'm trying to decide whether to bail now (before any money is put down) or pretend I will want to be traveling alone at 25 weeks...
If it's something you want to go to, I say go. Unless you have health risks, travel is still fine at 25 weeks. I'm planning on flying across the country at 26 weeks for a bachelorette party and then again at 31 weeks for the wedding. I'll probably buy trip insurance just in case, but I have no concerns at this point.

I think the problem is the *want* is not running very strong right now. If I go, I have to write a conference paper in the next few weeks... it is in New Orleans, which is not the most fun when you can't drink... and it is still fundamentally a work conference... All of this could also have to do with how exhausted I've been feeling this trimester.
A few weeks ago my ILs asked if we wanted to go with them to a cut-your-own Christmas tree place this weekend. Totally not my cup of tea, but my FIL has health issues and I know this is really important to them, so we agreed.
I just found out it's a 3 hour round trip drive, and we're riding with them. They are chronically late/can't do anything in a timely manner and have zero respect for the fact that my 3.5 y/o still needs a nap, and car seat naps don't cut it. Happy weekend to me, they're going to have a great time and I'm going to be stuck with the cranky overtired kid aftermath.

Ohhh ok. I get how that doesn't sound exciting. That's a tough decision - if it didn't affect my job, I might lean towards not going. I thought you were worried about 25 week travel. I can't wait for my trip - finally getting to fly alone, leaving DS with H for a long weekend, and having girl time. Don't have to ask me twice to book that trip!

It's day two at Disney and I'm having some brown spotting. I'm sure it's the walking and chasing our two year old. I'm trying not to panic. We have our first appointment on Monday. How is everyone else this Friday night? Who is drinking? I kid! I kid!

I am drinking OJ! Trying to get some vitamin C in to fight this cold. My mom just picked up tea at the grocery store and dropped it off then offered to take DS for the night so I could go to bed. H is working until 11ish so I am so thankful for a night off!

Oh no no no. I get that it is important to them, but they also have to respect your time, and your kid's nap time. I would just nicely let them know that you guys are going to be driving separate, and you are going to leave your house at whatever time, because you have to leave the tree farm at whatever time. Either they show up at the same time as you, or you guys go ahead and get your tree and get out of there. The one thing that I REALLLLLLY hate about doing stuff with others, is if they are late and don't have a care in the world about it. My husband's cousins were supposed to go to the pumpkin patch with us one year, and we were going to take pictures of each other's families. We got there right when they opened (the time which we had agreed upon), and sat around waiting. After 30min, we gave up, went around the farm doing the little activities and saving the patch for last, in hopes that they would be there. After the activities, we got hot chocolate and then spent another 30min waiting. By this time, we had been there for almost two hours, and we kept getting text saying they were only a few minutes away.....but it only takes 15min to get there and we had been getting those text for an hour. Finally, we just went to the patch, had a stranger take our family picture, and got out of there. About 10min after we left, we got a text from them saying they were there, and I pretty much told them too bad. It was 2.5 hours AFTER the time that we had all agreed upon. Turns out, they were late because they wanted to go out to breakfast first, and then ran a few errands. That wasn't the first time that they had done that, so it was the last time that we tried to make plans with them for something like that.

DH just woke me up to say bye before taking oldest SS to a hockey game. I was feeling a little confused so I asked "Did we *really* find Titus?" (Our mastiff that's been gone since July) DH looked really sad all of a sudden and said "no babe. Titus isn't lost. He was killed, remember?" Cue hysterical tears from me. I do remember because it happened right in front of me. I guess I dreamed he was just lost and we found him or something. Then DH said "don't be sad. Dreams are where we go to visit the people we miss".
