Ever since I put the app on my phone I must go on it like 5 times a day. Besides all my recent purchases I have like 10 things in my cart. I get so excited when I hear that little alert on my phone that my order has been shipped. Check out this cutie!
I bought pretty much everything for my wedding last March from Etsy. And now I'm buying basically everything for the nursery from there as well. Plus I have like 50 things in my favorites to purchase at some point.
I wish I knew about Etsy when I was planning my wedding. I did a lot of DIY but it just wasn't as popular then.
The only thing I've ever bought from there was a personalized Christmas ornament, and they put the wrong year on it. And since I had it directly shipped to the person as a gift, I couldn't return it. Kind of left a bad taste in my mouth but maybe that's a good thing!
I had a bad experience ordering my wedding invitations from Etsy. The seller was awful and they barely made it on time. She thought sending me double the amount I ordered would make up for it... but now I have a ton of extra invitations/RSVP cards that I can't bring myself to throw away. I keep seeing a LOT of stuff on there that I want for this baby though so I think I will be giving Etsy a second chance very soon...

Yeah I fell deep into the etsy vortex when I was planning my wedding five years ago, and I've been obsessed ever since. It's pretty much the first place I go when I'm looking for inspiration/ideas. I also own my own etsy store

I always read the reviews before selecting to make a purchase. So far I've had great experiences, sorry to hear that you didn't.

I read the reviews and didn't see anything concerning at all. I'd never purchase anything online without looking into it. I think she had been running a good business and had just lost her ambition for it. Right around the time I was having trouble I noticed some bad reviews coming in with similar issues, but at that point it was too late. That's the risk you take I guess. I was happy with the quality of everything though, but it was just a stressful experience very close to our wedding day. I know there are a lot of amazing shops on Etsy with fabulous sellers.
Yes I ordered a bunch of things from Etsy for DD's nursery when I was pg with her. Nowadays everything seems so expensive on there! I'll just go there for inspiration and then find something cheaper somewhere else or DIY it.
I buy a LOT of stuff from Etsy. I also got into when we were planning our wedding, and then again when DS was born. I've bought tons of sweet stuff for this baby too.
This is probably my favorite. It's hasn't come in yet... I really can't wait.

I love Etsy! Most all of my specialty items have come from there. Although, I did purchase a Silhouette Cameo so I can cut vinyl (wall decals, monograms, etc). I can also do the heat transfer vinyl like the onesies with words. I just haven't had time to dabble in that yet.

I also discovered Etsy when planning our wedding and have gotten quite a few things on there for DS over the past couple of years, as well as some cute baby booties for the new LO. I'm lucky and have never really had a bad purchasing experience. I do tend to be ridiculous about advance planning, so it usually isn't a big deal if the order takes a little longer than expected.
knock on wood I've never been burned by an etsy seller. The post office is currently screwing me with an etsy order but it's not the sellers fault...one of my decals should have been here Thursday. it hasn't been updated on the usps website since 1/26... so pissed
USPS needs to get their shit together! Hopefully they find it and it comes soon!

I'm just relieved that you finally got your bedding. I thought about that more than is probably normal!
I LOVE etsy!! I've bought so many things from there. Etsy & Zulily are my downfalls....DH has said he's going to cancel my accounts. Actually just ordering a bow holder for a friends daughter from etsy
Do any of the ladies on here have etsy shops? I know we have a lot of DIYers!

I'm so glad DH doesn't know how much I spend. He's usually home later so rarely sees those ups boxes on my front porch.
I get everything delivered to my work. DH never knows. Plus I handle the finances (he doesn't even know how to access our account info online)...so he really has no clue.
This just made me laugh! I love that you get your stuff delivered to your work! Genius!!!
