Pictures with Santa/ Dont make me AW!

Anyone care to share?  Yesterday was the day and yes this is the year for tears; hopeful next year it's all smiles again!

We tried last weekend, but she cried. There wasn't a cry face worth buying. I think we are gonna try with a Santa this weekend that we can take our own pictures.

bsouls, I buy even with big crocodile tears; I have pictures of all my boys with one year of tears either with Santa or Easterbunny! The pictures are treasured in the years to come.

We took DD a few weeks ago. She was scared but didn't cry. Santa stood next to the chair and my husband and I held DD. We got a decent pic.

I would share, but E cried and clung to me like a baby orangutan as soon as we got close, so Santa had me sit with her in the picture. Nice that he didn't make her sit on his lap, but I so did not want my fat ass in the pic.

We're going to try next weekend I think. The Clinton Presidential Library is having free photos with Santa.

We tried two Santas yesterday. She wouldn't get close to the Santa at the mall and didn't even want to get out of her stroller (which is unusual). A nursery had a free Santa and he was wonderful. Tabitha was happy doing a little dance on fake grass, but once Santa stood up to talk to her the fear set in. He ended up having someone take a family photo while we were standing. The closer he got to her the more she squeezed me. I laughed, because I'm a mean mother.

bsouls, guess I'm mean too; I think a moment of tears is worth the laughs in the years to come. My older boys LOVE their pictures of them crying with Santa, and I do too!

I love it, mostly because it's not her.  She is hardly ever a "screaming" child.

If it makes you feel better, I still haven't done pictures with Santa for either kid. Also, this was DSs first Christmas and we didn't decorate, put up a tree, or even attempt to pretend we did. Next year!
