DS slept on my chest for half the night or so. I'm in the same boat as aggiebug that I think elevating the crib mattress wouldn't work because he crawls around, flips over, etc but I may try it tonight. If the alternative is sleeping on me, maybe I can put him down asleep & elevated?
Heh heh. When I beat the sunrise here on the east coast you have no chance!
Morning. My brain hurts today Lame-o. I feel like H and I are taking two different trips this weekend and it's sort of frustrating when in reality we are driving 20hrs together to Texas. I feel like he is planning the driving without discussion with me but he also has expectations of us doing the same thing when we moved up here (ie sans a kid). *sigh*

Poor kiddo and poor momma! I know you miss his sleepy snuggles, but that is rough. Thankfully DD's congestion hasn't affected her sleep yet.

Glad S is sleeping well. G sounds much better after he's been upright for a bit. He sleeps on his belly like a tree frog, so gravity is totally working against him. He woke up with his face/sinuses totally full about an hour after each time I laid him down. We slept in the glider from 130-430 solid because he was breathing so so much easier and I didn't have the heart to put him down. Thankfully I can sleep pretty much anywhere.
Anyone know how to take 4 individual songs and mesh them together? Is there an app or program that will EASILY do this? We're putting together a skit for the last day of school, and need some snippets of Christmas songs. Someone more tech savvy help me out.
aggiebug well unfortunately the reality of road tripping with a 10.5 month old will change your H's mindset soon enough
indeed he will just have to figure it out on his own unfortunately. But now I am livid with him for a whole other reason. He might have to sleep in a different room until he gets his shit together. (literally pick up his crap before kills our daughter). Sorry I am pissed. I love him but I really don't like him this morning

Ahh quick search says there are a ton of phone apps that can do this djay is one. I k own nothing about the apps and ease of use though.
Nothing planned today. I just want to finish christmas decorations so I can get these totes back to the basement. I also want sweet tomatoes but that probably won't happen.

LOL. Oops yeah nope not that. Just his pile of stuff that should not be on the floor in a normal house but could have deadly consequences with a kid.
Ah, aggiebug, sorry your H is annoying you. I know how it is!
Checking back in after a rough week. DD has had a sore throat and high fever so we've been dealing with that. She's also had some sleeping troubles that has led us to bed sharing the whole week and that hasn't been good for my or H's sleep so we're both dead tired. It ends today though, she will be back in the crib tonight.
Finished all my Christmas shopping yesterday, so that was good. Now I just need to DIY some magnets for my grandmother and wait for delivery of the last present. Yay! I have never finished this early before so I'm kinda excited. How are you ladies doing?

I'm at work. I really really don't want to be. I wish I had days to take off this week, and/or next. But nope... if we are open, my butt will be here. (January 4th --I'm out this bitch! -- because i have days to take again -- LOL!)
Why is it when you are at work, or doing something you don't want to be doing you can think of the million other things I could be doing.
Things are going as usual here. I have a massive bruise on my leg from the weekend that I have no idea where it came from. My scooter is ready for pickup, so I can get it tonight if DH can leave work earlyish. And we're waiting for the last of Geoffrey's Christmas presents to arrive.

lilyelayne , and anyone else who has been baby led weaning.. or just anyone who has a little bit that wants to feed themselves -- Quinn has decided that she doesn't really want to be spoon fed anymore. She wants to do it herself.
We have done chicken (nuggets and rotasserie), hamburger meat, noodles, potato, bread. I need to work some veggies, and other meats into it.
Bananas are fantastic as are pears (I peeled the pear at first but she does great now with my laziness)
For veggies squash (I peeled first), carrots, pumpkin all cut into sticks, sweet potatoes in a chip shape, green beans, peas. All steamed in lots of water until soft.
You can also make veggies into a chunky mash and let them play/ eat it off their tray. DD loves that.
We have been feeding B by BLW, but lately she is refusing all veggies and fruit, as well as scrambled eggs. I have been getting some fruits/veggies into her by giving her pouches of food and she will suck on them herself. Otherwise everything else goes over the side of the high chair.
DH doesn't usually get home until close to B's bedtime and truthfully I am getting frustrated cooking dinner in time for a 10 month old to see it land on the floor. Of course then DH and I end up eating cold or re-heated dinners after she's in bed. If she's not going to eat it anyways I would rather cook it later so at least someone who will eat it can have it fresh.

taberbtb what about cooking for you & your H, and then feeding the leftovers to LO for supper the next night? So you get to cook hot meals for the adults who want them, and then she can have the same thing the next day?
Also DS will do better eating his veggies if I put them on his tray first with nothing else, then add meat / carb / fruit / etc afterward.
cloe111479 steamed or roasted veggies of any kind (broccoli, carrot, cauliflower, zucchini, squash, eggplant, green beans, peas) either in large pieces or diced. Fruit either in large chunks or bite sized pieces - I'd hold off on raw apple until she's really good at chewing, so banana, pear, etc. DS had orange for the first time and loved it, so since it's satsuma season I feel like that will be a regular addition to our menu. Meats he eats what we're eating. Chicken, ground beef, ground deer, steak, pork (tho chops can be a little dry and tough,) turkey. We also do legumes- black eyed peas, white beans, red beans, chickpeas, lentils.
All my spicy dishes are now mild dishes, and I cut back on salt.
Basically I would try everything in a large piece that she can hold and chew at the same time & in diced pieces she can pick up with a few fingers and pop in her mouth. She'll let you know what she prefers, though it may change meal to meal
V and I were at the grocery store, and as I was passing the tomatoes, V reached out and grabbed a Roma tomato and tried to take a bite. So I got it away from him, turned to grab a bag cause now I have to buy it, and I turn back and he is actually chewing on another tomato. So I grab that one and while I'm simultaneously attempting to open the bag, shove two tomatoes and wheel the cart away, he grabs a third tomato!
And I hate fresh tomatoes, so I don't even know whose kid this is.
