Failed experiment. We were going to let the babies sleep, not wake them for feedings. So we both fed them at 11 (when I normally sleep). And? P is up screaming at 3am, when I'm typically up with them. So no extra baby sleep, plus less sleep for me.
It is seriously amazing to me how you do actually forget how hard it is having a newborn. I remembered with E being tired and some nights being really rough but you really do forget just how hard it is.

C was a nightmare last night. She was inconsolable and screaming endlessly. Around 11 I was able to get her to nurse and she fell asleep. To make up for it she slept for 6 hours! TBH I think I would prefer a few wakeups with a pleasant baby to hours of screaming followed by many hours of sleep.

After feeding J at 11, 12 and 1245, I decided to lay him next to me in our bed rather than in his bassinet next to me. He slept an amazing 4 hours and I feel so rested! I won't do this often, but I'm hoping this long stretch of sleep will help him be more awake today and sleep better on his own tomorrow night.

Today may be the day! Contractions 5-6 minutes apart for 2 hours now! Dr said prelabor at home for another hour and then hopefully we'll have an outside baby by sometime today!

I got a little drunk last night. Off of 2 drinks and never completely finished the second. H said he'd bottle feed B while I pump and dump. Guess who's sleeping and slept through B's screaming while I got a bottle ready from my freezer stash. I'm pissed. Thanks for convincing me to drink because you'd "help", ass.
Yep, I got really excited when the pediatrician gave us the ok to stop setting alarms for feeds, but Hazel's still up every 2-3 hours. I actually got 2.5 straight hours of sleep so far and feel like a new woman! One of these days if she can manage like 4 hours, I'll really be thrilled! I miss sleep more than I ever knew possible.

I know better than to fall for this with mine. He would so do this, and he's offered a few times to let me sleep while he bottle feeds pumped milk, but I don't even bother for the fact that I know he'll just keep sleeping and I'll have to wake him myself anyway. It's not even worth it. I wake up when Hazel stirs, but he won't until she's screaming bloody murder. I figure I'll spare myself the disappointment of expecting my husband to take care of her and just do it myself. So much for drinking more than like half a beer for a very long time...

I tried waking him up. He didn't even stir so I just sat there and bitched the whole bottle and I'm now sitting downstairs pumping. He's getting pushed, kicked, hit out of bed once the older 2 wake up. He was supposed to stay sober. Sucks to suck, follow through on your word.

Sorry your husband sucks today. Men can be so disappointing.

My kid just puked up 2 ounces of breast milk exorcist style...great!
No fun. Poor LO and mommy!
J had been sleeping 3-4 hour stretches the went through a growth spurt. She is only sleeping now 2-3 hours and fights sleep during the day so much. Rough stuff.

I need to just shake it off, but I need to vent about it first! My DH invited people over last night to hang out (drink and watch a movie). I got to hang out for the first half hour probably, and then LO had a meltdown. He was fussy from his circumcision and feeding more than normal. He also decided he wouldn't sleep unless someone was holding him... and that someone has been me for the past 12 hours! DH is normally helpful and considerate, but he didn't even check on me until I went to bed to cry hours later! Then he proceeded to go back to the party! And when he finally came to bed, he changed a diaper and has slept all night. I have not because baby was sleeping on me, and now he is going to want to go do things all day today because it's the weekend. Ugh! Sorry, rant over!

S woke up to feed at 4am, but somehow dh for him to go back to sleep. He's eating now and it's after 7. Crazy, wish I would've gone to bed at a normal time and not 1am.
I have 4 little bears, just like my name says. 2 girls 2 boys ages 8,5,3, and my newest babe. 2 of my little bears have life threatening food allergies, feel free to ask me more about that!

We're going to try an outing today to a museum (for us, they'll just be passengers). This could be disastrous, but I need to get out of the house, and it is 13 degrees outside. Wish us luck!
We went to a family party last night, and I need to pump every 2 hours, but I went 4 because I kept thinking we'd leave soon, but DH was dragging his feet for an hour when it was time to go. He doesn't understand the pain of mastitis. Anyway, it was a fun party, and there was vodka, which I drank out of a plastic Hello Kitty cup so my MIL wouldn't judge me.
We're just staying at home probably for today. Relaxing Saturday!

Emily is three weeks old today! She's plumping up nicely - trying out some 0-3m onesies instead of the newborns. They're still a little baggy, but not overly ridiculous.

Good luck! I'm dying to go out to eat as a little family, but I think our first attempt will be at a weird afternoon time so if there's a meltdown we won't be ruining anyone else's night out. So far our only outings have been to buy buy baby, and that doesn't count.

They do suck, but it was very satisfying taking all the blankets and kicking his legs at 7:21 this morning when the older two woke up. I am waiting to feed until the next one so I'm going to pretend I'm hung over as fudge on a holiday.

That is still a trip out! It might be to a forgiving place, but you've gotten everyone up, dressed, and outside, and to me, that's what counts.
robertjane33 ooh, exciting! You'll have to let us know how it goes. Good luck!
3littleones my H rolled over in bed yesterday to tell me how tired he is. I laughed in his face. Husbands can be ridiculous. Make him do all the kid stuff today.
@nursesouder that's brutal. Hope O is feeling better.
tomorrowisanotherday nap to your heart's content today while your husband takes baby duty. That's what you need for your "weekend"
luckypenny my midwives told me to call for the prescription if there's any sign at all of mastitis. Maybe you could do that, just in case?
maebb I meant to tell you yesterday but I suck at being engaged lately. You cannot catch a break in the boob department man. But I'm really happy you got to have your illicit cocktail

We got our tax returns back yesterday so we are going to go out and get our double stroller and get me some nursing bras since I think my milk has evened out enough. Anyone know if you can use your registry completion coupon with the great trade in stuff? I'm too lazy to get out of my bed right now to look at the coupon.
@saiven, thanks! I was (half) joking with my mom that I had a pretty easy L&D, so my body is getting me back by making BF miserable. Between the tongue tie, supply issues, and mastitis, it is pretty awful. I had also had some supply and latching issues with DS1 and made it to 11 months, but I'll be ok (and so will DS2) if I switch to formula before then.
