I have a drive by that seems appropriate given my scanning of the posts so far.
Who makes the best maternity work pants? I can't with this pair I'm wearing right now, from last time. I forgot I want to hurt things while I wear them. (Pregnancy rage=1, me=0)

Basically that are comfy, professional, at least marginally cute, and WON'T FALL DOWN.
Bells, I'm telling myself these really dark blue almost black skinny jeans with side panels from Target are passing as work appropriate because I wear cute boots and a professional top with them. I really like them but I can't see them working in 3rd tri. I wear them almost everyday which I should probably change up soon.
I also have a pair of black slacks from Motherhood but they're full panel and I feel like by the end of the day they hurt my back from giving me different posture. So I can't recommend them.

I have only worn them around the house to make sure they fit - not for a full day yet because I still haven't outgrown my regular pants. But they seemed to fit well, were pretty comfortable, and didn't fall down. I'm sure I'll need a full panel eventually but the demi panel seemed like a good compromise for early in the pregnancy, especially because I have a miniscule bump and still haven't really gained any weight yet.
Morning all. I can't believe it's already Thursday. I need to go through a bunch of DS's toys and books today and bring some boxes in for donation.
It's been 3 weeks since my final interview for a new job and still no confirmation. Apparently 'Bob and Cheryl (would be boss and his boss) are really excited for you to join the team but the VP is checking numbers'. It's typical for this company and I can't imagine they wouldn't fill the position, someone just retired and it's a very small but busy team, but I'm getting really annoyed. I need to confirm my back up plan but don't want to make any moves if there is a good chance I won't be needing it. Bleh.
I've never had 'real' queso but then I've always felt something was missing from my life.

I want queso.
I have a cold.
My students are taking THE LAST EXAM OF THE SEMESTER.
Health insurance sucks balls and I want to throat punch everyone at our derm's office for being stupid. DH was prescribed a medication for his adult acne (poor guy!) and apparently the pharmacy needs authorization to fill it. Derm's office says it is our responsibility to do that, Anthem tells us it is derm's responsibility. I've been going in circles with them all day during my down time. RAAAAAAAAAAAAAGE.
manybellsdown,I have these from the Gap. They are not as 'skinny' as they look in the picture on me and I'm still trying to decide whether or not to keep them. They are full panel so it's hard to know how they will fit when I'm feeling large enough for full panel.
The hard part about work pants (any maternity pant really) is getting the right fit and size. Too small and they are uncomfortable, but even slightly too big and they start to look frumpy (rather than the professional look we are all going for) and they fall down. I've been going for a smaller size than I might normally as maternity pants tend to stretch a lot while you are wearing them.
FYI Gap has a 50% off online sale going on today....

Grrr... so far today I have received four thank you emails from people whose names I don't even recognize for the "generous holiday gift". I think they're clinical assistants who work on days that I'm not there. It's feeding my grumpiness about the whole thing. I saw the list of people who received the gifts and I only know about 1/4 of them.

These are the same ones I have. I feel a little frumpy in them because I'm between sizes right now and they're a little big, but they're really comfortable and probably look just fine.
nitecheese I've had similar interactions with my health insurance company. It angers me every time I have to deal with them. I once had a dermatology Rx denied by insurance because they didn't feel it was medically necessary. Meanwhile, it wasn't for cosmetic purposes, nor was it for a minor dermatologic problem... the skin on my face was literally changing colors and insurance wouldn't pay for the medication to fix it. I have dark (brown)skin, and gradually patches of skin were losing color all over my face. The light spots were spreading so I went to the derm who wrote the Rx, but insurance wouldn't fill it. The Rx cost $500 out of pocket so I couldn't afford it. My doctor took pity on me (and my face, which was beginning to resemble a reverse Dalmatian) and found me some samples that were just enough to fix the problem.
frecklesnbrains, going through a similar situation right now, only my contribution is $100 not $174 and I'm very resentful about it. I'm not upset at the amount, I'm upset that I was only asked for it in the beginning of this week and it's due by week's end. I budget for every dollar I spend these days. I would gladly have worked $100 into the budget 3 weeks ago, but to expect me to have it in a few days is not reasonable. Now I'm reworking my budget to figure out where this money will come from. Something else will likely suffer as a result.

Yeah vlinder, they seem to run a tad bit large. I bought my regular size and they're a bit baggy. I'd be surprised if I don't fill them out eventually though.

Ugh, sorry you're dealing with the same bgkc4 ... I think people are way too presumptuous about what other people's budgets are like. You never know what else is going on in people's lives. Like my colleagues don't know I'm pregnant, had to pay for a wedding earlier this year, paying off a million school loans, barely making half what they make in salary. All physicians are rich, right? Not...

Thanks ArgyleEnigma I have to admit I've been seething about it all day and I can't get any work done. I don't get angry easily, but when I get angry I reaaaaaaaaaallllly get angry and I have a hard time letting it go. If I weren't pregnant I'd totally go home early and drink half a bottle of wine. Instead, maybe I'll go home early and go shopping for baby stuff (screw Christmas gifts! I'm gonna buy something for MYSELF!)
my students told me they were talking about me in another class. The substitute said "oh isn't she the one who is pregnant?" The kids convinced her she was confused with another teacher who just had a baby. They don't know I'm pregnant yet. I played it off pretty cool and asked who said it. Jokes on them when I tell them after Christmas break.
I'm rewatching Friends right now and last night watched the one where they were on a break. I cannot wait for later seasons with Monica and Chandler and I really want to have it be happening IRL too!!!

I like LOFT pants and GAP pants for work.
Another vote for Gap and Loft. I've been in maternity pants for a couple weeks now. Love them, I don't know why I ever wore pants with buttons.

Thanks all for the input! This ended up being a crazy and long day, and I spent it all tugging on The Most Uncomfortable Pants of All Time(tm).
I do have two pairs of the gap "trousers" (from 2-3 years ago anyway) that I like okay. But they are boot cut (and full panel) and I was looking for straight leg/skinny today. Fashion problems? I'm totally going to check out Loft and Target (edit) and Motherhood! Thank you! Time to invest.
