Congrats and welcome!
1. I have the unisom (doxylamine succinate, 25 mg) and B6 (100 mg). How much can I take? How many times a day? Last pregnancy I took 1/2 tab of unisom at morning and 1/2 at night. I forget what I took of B6, but it was half of what my OB said was the max. Your doctor will be able to tell you - my OB and RE both had recommended dosages.
katelm I am glad you are working with physicians who can help! Random story about Trazadone: my H took it a few times and sleepwalked like crazy. One night he did laundry in his sleep. Another, he got lost in our walk in closet. Lost and panicking bc he couldn't get out. It's. ...an interesting drug

I spoke with the nurse practicioner a bit ago who gave me my third beta results. I asked if they ever recommend unisom + B6. Her response: Erm, I've never heard of that? What is it?
I told her it was unisom (a sleep aid but was developed as an anti-nausea med) and together they were the generic version of a prescribed med in Canada and the UK. I said my sister's OB had prescribed it.
"No... I've never heard of this. And I wouldn't recommend anything with a sleep aid in it. The list of meds you can take is really small, actually."
::sigh::
EDIT: My sigh is towards her having never heard of this (?!) and not that I can't take it. Haha. Oh, I'm going to take it.

Ughhhh. I have heard of dozens of ladies whose OB's told them to take Unisom and B6!

Right? I kinda laughed, rolled my eyes, and was like "Someone on TCF will know how much I can take."
I'd ask my sister directly, but - well - I have no desire for my family to know yet.

Haha geez! That's so funny about the laundry. Do you know how much he took? I have been taking 50mg (1 tablet) nightly for years for sleep & it has worked well for me. I stopped it for pregnancy but have had sleep issues since. Well actually I was doing ok with timed release melatonin until I was told that wasn't safe in pregnancy, sigh. So now I'm being told to get back on the Trazadone for the sleep issue & ive found the 25mg (1/2 tablet) seems to be working ok. I think 25mg is the lowest possible dose.
