I still haven't ordered a 1st bday outfit. I suck. Part of me wants a cute normal outfit and part wants a cute "one" outfit but my indecisiveness has me running out of time.....

I'm just going to do a normal outfit I think. I can't decide either though. Ugh.
I bought these for the older kids who will be at Ms birthday party:
We went to a third birthday party last month that had these out. Most kids weren't coordinated enough to not spill them and loose all functionality of it. Have some back up bubble juice on hand just in case!
My poor DD is going to get the shaft. No party outfit, no gift bags, no people other than family, no fancy decorations. I don't have the time or the funds but dammit, she will have cake and she will have her momma and brother there singing to her!

Those are the most important things anyway!
This x1000!
The rest of it is fluff (that our LO's won't remember anyway!)

You can get those bubble wands at WalMart or the Doller Store for a $1/piece.
I'm sure. The issue is to get to either of those places ilineould have to rent a zip car at $10/hr. This making it not worth it for me. #citylivingproblems
Okay just ordered crepe paper from amazon and I'm making the streamer wall as the back drop to her smash cake. I'm feeling a bit better because I now have family members who said they can help with different things

I just made this banner for the deck railing. I had everything except the burlap triangles that were under $5 at Walmart. We are broke ass bitches right now so I am trying to do this party as cheap as I can. My mom is the devil but she did pass on her ability to pull crafty shit out of ones ass for next to free.

She has everything she needs for a fantastic birthday, you and her big brobro!

One onesie ordered, smash cake and cupcakes ordered. Now I need to find a cute diaper cover/short shorts I like OR use one I already have that is ok, but I'm not in love with.
This weekend I'm making her little cake banner thing as a project and I'm going to TRY to make a little birthday hat or maybe a headband. We will see how crafty I get.

mary1217, I love it even more with the burlap added! I think I'm going to go to hobby lobby tomorrow and see what I can come up with...
honeybee434, I totally get that. I wanted a birthday outfit anyway, but I don't love the one my mom picked, mostly because it's a tutu and hat and I still need to figure out a shirt. I'll use it for the pro cake smash pics but probably not for the party. (DH doesn't like it at all...but that may be simply because my mom picked it out!)
I'm trying to decide if I should just buy this one at $35 or see if I can make it for myself...
I've been pinning ideas and looking at Mary's tutorial. I think I'm going to try it! I've also found that hobby lobby apparently carries burlap already cut into triangles or whatever that shape is that Mary made. So then it's just a matter of cutting/typing the fabric and ribbon. I think the hardest part will be painting on or cutting out the 1.
I'm making DD's invites and she is having a luau theme. Is it dumb or against proper etiquette to say: Hawaiian wear appreciated, not required? Or should I just leave that off.
