Yea definitely, I'm not expecting amazing quality but when I looked on Amazon for belly bands they started at $20 each so I'm like fuck it, I'll try 2 of these ones for $15 and if they suck at least I'm not out too much lol
My friend who is 7 months along just gave me these promo codes for free swag she got from her doctors office. The shipping is semi pricey ($15) but I felt it was worth it so I ordered them anyways. I have no involvement with these companies so if this is against TOS I will gladly delete, just wanted to share since I ordered them for myself
carseatcanopy.com $50 carseat cover for free with code HP4714CC uddercovers.com $35 nursing cover for free with code HP4714UC bellybuttonband.com $40 two belly bands for jeans free with code HP4714BB breastpads.com ten pairs washable breast pads free with code HP4714BP
Just FYI, if these are the same companies who have been doing this deal for years, I've repeatedly heard the stuff isn't all that nice. Not trying to put a damper on anything, just a heads up to people. It may still be worth it to some.
It's true, you will see these deals 100 times now that you're pregnant!
If you are interested in feedback from someone who has actually purchased all but one of these items:
-The car seat canopy is great, we are still using it with DD.
- I did not like the Belly Button Band, but it may just be a personal preference thing. The fabric is NOT stretchy on the bottom, and it just looked odd.
-The breast pads are great! I lived in them while nursing, with the following caveat: they are really only good for hanging out at home, and they will NOT help if you are a big leaker (which I was not). They are not moisture resistant, and you can easily leak through them since there is no moisture barrier. But seriously, used them all the time.
I *think* those companies ^^ were blocked from TD for selling people's information. I could be wrong though. I am convinced TD was also selling my info bc I got a can of formula in the mail with my screenname instead of my first name on it

Woah
They changed something so that if a user even typed in the word "udder" it would kick it back as spam, which was annoying when recommending udder balm for dry skin lollll
Just spoke to my work about returning in two weeks (my year mat leave is up) they have moved the whole office around so I get my nice office back and I feel sort of bad considering I will be leaving in like...7 months again... But I haven't told them yet (won't until 2nd tri if I can hide it) but I really don't think they are going to be happy. At least they are keeping my replacements so I don't feel that bad...

alygohome, I hate you so hard right now for being Canadian. Here in the states I will get 3 weeks paid through short term disability, then 9 weeks unpaid, then I must return or they can legally give my job away. I'm stressing about the unpaid, that is a huge chunk of change.

Yeah, it definitely isn't fair at all.
I make about 40-45% of my wages for 1 year. (You can get up to 55% depending on how much you make, I make over the cap so I get less)
I have lots of room(farm), I will take in ALL the Americans in exchange for baby snuggles and food.
I think my Drs progesterone test is something different than yours theophania , my doc is happy my number is 8 something..
When's your second beta?
My progesterone is higher than we expected. We thought that they would need to supplement it. However, they are checking HCG again tomorrow and HCG + progesterone on Dec 30th to make sure my prog isn't decreasing which it did in both of my loss pregnancies which was really the problem with my levels, not the initial number, but the decreasing.
I look forward to hearing positive things tomorrow from you!
MH just got his new shift starting in February, lucky jerk has a three day weekend now!
My H used to have every other Friday off. I was so jealous. Now that we have kids I wish he could have that schedule again.
I'm so happy because the only day off we had together was Sunday and we were usually doing stuff around the house, so it'll be nice to have the whole weekend to do stuff around the house and relax!
BTDT Breastfeeding mamas, I keep feeling a letting down sensation, I EP for almost 11 months and had a large supply (even the seat belt made me let down) but haven't pumped in weeks. I got thinking maybe the tingle of pregnancy is the same tingle as letting down? (I cant remember last time) I dont think I am actually letting down but it sure feels that way.
dc2london I'm so sorry to hear about the stresses from the estate. I can't imagine what sorts of divides that can cause for a family...and what people come out of the woodwork when they think they can get something.
We still haven't finalized our wills yet (had a consultation appointment a few weeks ago, but then got busy to do all the signing) and it is really morbid thinking about what to do for our child(ren)...

Am I crazy? Anyone else experience this?
I just weaned in August and anytime I read or talk about BF I feel that sensation. I swear it's just in my head.
