And ftr my cycles were allll over the place when nursing with O days between CD14 and CD20. So as your MW said, it's not only possible you ovulated late, i would venture to say that it's likely
Yes. This. I ovulated on day 10 one month and day 24 the next. Also nursing. Very possible.
The thing that keeps me from whole heartedly believing the my ovulation was off is the fact that I got my first bfp 2 weeks and 6 days ago. Does that still add up with the measurements the ultrasound is showing?
Let's say you got your positive at 9 DPO. That would make today 6w2d.
It's possible your little bean is just a slow starter. Or, it's possible that it's not.
::hugs:: I wish I knew the answer or how to make you feel better!
All of this. It's possible that you had an early BFP and are just measuring a few days behind. Your heart rate is right on track for where you are measuring. We couldn't see a heartbeat when I went in at 5w6d, but had a heart rate of 110 at 6w4d. Also measuring the size depends a lot on who is measuring. I had an u/s with my RI at 6w4d and their tech measured the baby at 6w1d (3 days behind). I had an u/s (due to bleeding) the next day with my RE and she measured the baby at 6w4d (1 day behind).
I hate that you are in limbo, but I think it could go either way at this point. Hopefully you get better news with your next u/s. Hang in there.

Thank you thank you thank you all for your kind words it has been an emotional day. DH's doctors want to wait 6 more weeks now to look at the bones again and see how the graft is healing. Infinite limbo.

I'm so sorry you're dealing with this. I hope you just ovulated late. I'm sorry to hear your husband is struggling as well. That's a lot on your plates. ::Hugs::

Ugh ok so I spent all night running through numbers in my head as if that would make any difference at all.
Tell me if this makes sense?
LMP was 11/1 but it was only my 3pp cycle after having baby and I was still nursing about 70% of the time at this point.
First BFP was on dec 2 and it was SO light I could barely see it, meaning it's a super early positive correct? So it could have been at the earliest 8 or 9dpo?
Dec 2 minus 9 days brings me to Nov 23 as **estimated** ovulation
Now how do I calculate gestational age with that? Add two weeks? Does it matter that before I had my son I had regular 31 day cycles? Please tell me if this is completely wrong haha
Do any of those numbers put my baby any closer to the actual measurements?

I think that all makes sense. And yes, for GA you add two weeks to O date.
Based on the calculator I just used, LMP of November 9 would give you an EDD of August 15, and you would be 6 weeks today. So 5w5d would have been spot on

Sorry you're going through this! If it helps, my first pregnancy ultrasound measured 2 weeks behind what I calculated based on lmp. Doc chalked it up to wacky ovulation. That also meant I got my bfp SUPER early. And now I have a happy, healthy beautiful little girl.

This is exactly what I calculated for you yesterday. If you were 9 DPO at your first positive, today you would 6w3d.
You are two weeks pregnant on the day you ovulate.
And no - past cycles have zero influence on future cycles.
My first positive was super faint and it was the evening of 8 dpo. I tested because everything smelled funny. My FRER the next day on 9 dpo looked like that.
I will confirm this. Theo's BFP was the squintiest of squinters

Hey, none of that. It is so hard when we have no way of knowing that the wee fetus is safe and growing in there. This is part of what we are here for: to support each other through pregnancy and parenting. Now, if you had intro'ed before your bfp bc you just *knew* sperm met egg, then you could maybe facepalm
