I'm spending the day on the phone with my lawyer long story short- almost 2 years ago an idiot ran a red light and cause an accident. Part of my brain herniated out of my skull and into my spinal cord causing me LOTS of pain (migraine headaches times 10), nausea, vertigo, etc. Also meant I had to have a CS under general anesthesia with DD1. Anyways, they tried offering me under $15k. My medical bills are higher than that! So it's time to sue. What a nightmare.
That's awful!! I hope you & your lawyer can get it taken care of with minimal drama!
Are we allowed to post kid pics here? Well I am posting below, my kid is in rare form today. Extremely happy, cute and keeps coming over to give me kisses! I can't wait to see if she is getting a brother or sister (or both hopefully;) )

I had my first prenatal visit this morning, and my dr referred me for an ultrasound (the ol' probity-probe, as DH likes to call it) in the afternoon. Everything looked healthy, and there was only one baby, so that was great! The US tech was not the gentlest by any stretch.
My ob has concerns about gestational diabetes (I *barely* passed the 3 hour last time around, and am having weird muscle/nerve stuff in my legs she thinks could be something). She also warned me about excessive weight gain (I'm already up a couple of pounds, and go through times where I feel like I'm *starving*). So I'm a little worried about that stuff. I have a pretty serious relationship with carbs.
How does everyone feel about taking hot baths? Is it really a no-no? Do you still do it?
I swear I have been extra freezing cold since about the time I would have gotten pregnant. All I want to do is take a bath and finally feel warm, but DH is a stickler and won't let me.
I don't have the flu, just a nasty cold. The dr gave me mucinex and dissolvable zofran. He also took a look at 2.0. He is measuring 2 days behind and it bugs me because he was consistently measuring a day ahead. HB was 124 though so dr is not concerned. He wanted to put me on IV fluids because I haven't been able to keep anything down and he fears I'm dehydrated. I decided to try the new zofran and see if I can rehydrate on my own. I kept all my food down today so I'm considering this day a victory on my behalf.
Glad you kept some food down!
Also the fluids are the best, they make you feel like a new person, so if your rehydration doesn't work go for all the fluids!

I think it's okay. I read somewhere that the amount of heat that would be harmful actually can't even be sustained in a bathtub (unless you jump into boiling water). It can, however, be sustained in hot tubs since the temp is constantly regulating itself (hence the no hot tub thing). But please don't rely solely on my advice.
I still take baths, but I try to turn down the heat just a little.

Glad it isn't the flu, and yay for keeping stuff down!
Fuck this noise. It's raining super hard back home and DH won't be able to leave to head to my mom's until tomorrow morning. I haven't seen him since Friday and I'm super emotionally needy

Thank you!
Honestly, I just hate needles. I have been poked and prodded so much lately that when actually given the option I had to politely decline. I will definitely go in tomorrow if I am not feeling better.
I understand, My arms were bruised from wrist to elbow from all the needles/draws/fluids last time. And I was terrified of needles. Somehow getting the epi solved all my needle fears (weird eh??) but I get it, I fought getting the fluids until I absolutely HAD to have them. But, if you are still feeling terrible I highly recommend taking them. But hopefully the zofran works and you will feel like superwoman tomorrow!
Eta: didn't mean it to sould like I was saying I had it as bad as you (am assuming you we poked and proded before pregnancy?) just letting you know know I understand trying the zofran first!

Hot bubble baths and hot showers are definitely my jam. My back thanks me. If you are concerned, though, just notch it down a degree or two and jump out sooner.
Still pregnant! So happy! But need to lodge this Random Pregnancy Complaint: Sweetie's family came up to see us to go see Star Wars. I hugged people. It hurt my boobs like CRAZY. I am not sure how to survive this holiday, complete with a zillion friends and relatives hugging me.

This! I take multiple baths per week for a bad back. DH makes it for me and always sets a glass of ice water for me in the ledge so I don't get overheated. He even makes cheesy towel animals on days he is in the dog house:)

Do you own any sports bras? Not the trendiest things, but the snugness might help.

Will it help?? My boobs feel like they are made of enormous, sensitive rocks. The idea of squeezing into a sports bra sounds terrible. But you might be right! I'll try it.

Well if you can get it on without screaming... hehe I pretty much lived in sports bras when my boobs were hurting early on nursing DD1, and I may be overly optimistic, but perhaps it will help pregnant sore boobs, too.
