It bugs me when people use "unorganized" when they really mean "disorganized"....it's a subtle difference, but still annoys me.
Also "literally" gets used incorrectly a lot.
And "fridgerator" isn't a word. Refrigerator already has a nickname, and it's fridge.
Did you know that several dictionaries have recently added the wrong, misused definition of literally? This infuriates me. How can dictionaries add meanings of words from stupidity? So now there is literally no English word that means literally exclusively.
I hate the use of the words "totes" and "adorbs". Have we gotten too lazy to use proper English.
Have we?
I just meant society in general. No one in particular. I'm just not a fan of the current popular slang. Most of my employees are college students and I can't stand it when they talk like this. May be I'm just getting old.

Dammit, now I'm going to think of "that kind" every time I hear/say it. Unfortunately that's a lot since I work in mental health where we handle hospital and inpatient releases.

BA Linguistics with TESOL cert. I could never afford to do a MA, haha. Do you teach ESL?
I did the tesol cert too! I teach ESL to adults at a community college and a masters was required for that where I live. Do you teach?
I used to teach ESL to immigrants and refugees. It was a non-profit that partnered with an elementary school in an under-served area, so my students were all parents of the elementary kids. We moved, and there was nothing like that in our area hiring, so now I teach GED and life skills to felons. I'd love to get back into ESL at some point, though!
