You aren't being silly. Sounds like she had so many no RSVPs that she is gift-fishing.
And it's in another state. You would think I would get more than two weeks to buy a ticket, request time off and get my hair did for a shower in Georgia knowing that I live in NY.
JFC, definitely not silly since you're so far away. I agree with jennykat in that she's probably gift fishing.
I just RSVP no to a baby shower because I got my invite today while others got theirs over a month ago. Maybe I'm being silly but if other people where being invited formally why am I being invited so late? Andplusalso I was the one who did one of the registry. Tell I'm being silly GKU.
I don't think it's silly at all. Sounds like you were B listed. Do people do that for baby showers? I'd probably have RSVP'd no too.
TTC since July 2014. CP March 2015. IVF #1 March 2016, 5R, 3M, 2F with ICSI. Transferred 2 on day 3. CP. Surprise BFP and then CP August 2016 (prep cycle for IVF). IVF #2: zero eggs retrieved IVF #3: 6R, 5M, 5F, 3 (2 8A and 1 11A) transferred, one "B" graded embryo frozen on day 5. BFP (at home 7dp3dt, confirmed 14dp3dt with 1552 beta) and U/S at 5w5d, 2 sacs and 2 yolks!
Our Winter Storm Watch was upgraded to a Warning this evening. They seem confident that significant icing is going to happen. So, that should be fun.
Is anyone joining Parenting's DietBet? I'm giving it some serious thought. I've gained easily 5-7lbs since I came off BCP in July. Isn't it supposed to be the other way around? You gain weight ON BCP? *sigh* The holidays certainly didn't help any.
Just water for me, but I do wish I could stick a straw in a bottle of wine tonight...dreading work tomorrow!
I've been feeling like such crap lately that I might give in and call in sick tomorrow. I've never hated my job this much before.
Oh man I'm sorry...hating your job is exhausting. I have to go to work this week bc I'm out Thurs-Tuesday and we have some things due by the end of the year...but I've had a hard time being upright for more than an hour or so, so it should be super fun to go in tomorrow.

I joined, although I'm hoping through some reverse psychology something I'll get knocked up this cycle and lose my money. I know that's not how it works, but it would be pretty awesome

So my SO and I are going to see the new Star Wars movie on New Year's Eve. We decided to watch all the movies between yesterday and then. I've only seen them all once but I totally forgot how "meh" I am about them. I'm just sitting here like WHY IS THIS MOVIE SO LONG?!

FFSC?
I never really saw the originals and thought 2 1/2 hours would be really long of the new one. It moved at a fast pace and kept my attention though.

OK my H is totally the same, the new one is MUCH more entertaining. The humor is just more accessible to the non-super fans. Probably didnt hurt that I had a flask of wine But my H being a super fan loved it as well. I hope you guys enjoy it too

I really liked the original three, hated the prequels (only saw the first two and fell asleep in both) and thought the new one was ok, I stayed awake which is a minor miracle for me. I just wanted it to have a little more to it/clever solving of problems or something, but I was entertained and didn't think it felt too long.

My SO has already seen it once, so it will be his second time and my first! He's been very good and hasn't given any spoilers.

I saw online (but didnt click on the article) that some guy got beat up in a movie theater for telling spoilers on his way out to the people waiting in line for the next showing.
On one hand what a douche, but on the other, it's just a movie.

When my SO went, the theater was told by the manager not to spoil anything on the way out. Probably because they don't want that happening.
He was so annoyed by the announcement he bitched when he got home.

Inspired by the membership drive pinned at the top, would y'all ever recommend the site to anyone IRL? I can't decide if it's because we don't tell most people we're TTC or if I just like having an anonymous space to bitch about things, but I can't honestly see inviting anyone I know to join.
This is me. DNW my Facebook or IRL friends on here.

ugaqueencity - I've recommended this place to two people - a coworker who has moved on to IVF (hasn't joined as far as I know) and a really good friend of mine who joined her BMB here instead of TD at my suggestion.
The friend has known from the beginning when MH & I started TTC and both knows about and has been there every step of the way for me during and after my loss. There's nothing I would tell you ladies that I wouldn't tell her, so I'm very comfortable having her around here and was very happy to share this place with her.

My sister is 6 months pregnant, and I've recommended TCF to her. I think she has lurked on her BMB but never actually signed up. Maybe I will be more persuasive about her joining as part of the membership drive.
ETA - It would have to be a really close friend or sister for me to recommend joining TCF. DNW random coworkers or acquaintances or not close friends reading about things like how many times I had sex this cycle...
