We'll be getting some sort of double stroller but my older LO will only be 18 months in June so it will still be a regularly used option for us. I found this website helpful www.momsstrollerreviews.com/ . She doesn't always review the least expensive options out there but she helped me narrow down models and styles and also helped me think of features I didn't know about but realized would make a big difference.
GOmamab15, I am going to use one infant/bucket car seat (the Britax Be Safe) and just have two bases (one for each car). However, once the baby outgrows the infant seat (which seems to be from 8-10 months) we will each have our own convertible car seat. The convertible seats are very large and not very easy to install so I don't want to have to transfer it from my car to DH's car on a regular basis. I don't feel bad getting two convertible car seats because they last for years, whereas the infant seats don't even get many people through the first year.

We aren't getting a double. DS is 4 but loves the stroller. We will let them share the stroller. If DS wants it we will wear little brother in the ergo. We are also getting the skateboard for DS that may convince him he always wants to skate instead of ride in the stroller. We have the city mini and aren't replacing it because we love it!
Thanks for all the input on the double strollers. I talked it over with DH earlier and we agreed that there's no way that DS is going to ride in a traddiontal stroller for too much longer. But, I definitely would like to get something that I can use to strap DS to in case I am with them in a busy place by myself. I also don't want to count on the fact that this LO will like to be worn. I looked into some sit and stands today and I think that might be the perfect solution. The Joovy Caboose Ultralight looks like a good option, but I'm going to keep looking some more.

babyzebra I don't plan on getting a double stroller. DS will be 22 months when LO is born and I know that's a bit young but he doesn't really love the stroller now and it's just getting worse. He proved to me last weekend while at the outlet mall that I don't need a double stroller. He wanted to ht out and walk and he held onto the handle of the stroller for an hour walking. I think he will be just fine. I do plan on getting one of those wheely boards to attach to the stroller. I will also wear LO for a while.
I'm in the same boat on double strollers. We live in the city so it's our main mode of transportation so I feel like I need a double. I do plan on wearing the baby at first but the nanny won't wear her when I go back to work so I need a solution. She thinks DD is old enough to walk and she probsbly does for her but won't reliably walk for us. Plus it's busy and I like the idea of strapping her in. We will probsbly get the Baby Jogger city mini double or the city select. Not sure which yet but leaning towards the double because DD will be older and I think she will like the layout better plus it will feel like her regular City Mini GT that we have now. We will probsbly wait to make the purchase though abd see how the baby wearing goes first.
