I agree with those who aren't into the super bowl except for the food. Even though it's only DH and I, we're still making snacky football foods for the game. This means I'm going to eat way too much.
Also we finally got the baby's room painted this morning. Thank goodness for this snow day.
Haha DH and I are doing Super Bowl solo this year so were in the same boat--prepping a meal that is going to be terrible for me but oh so tasty.
My big shower is 5 weeks away and I just saw the first gift has been purchased off our registry. Now begins the compulsive checking of what has been bought. No surprises for me! I did this before my wedding shower and the wedding itself. For some reason I have to know.

I failed my glucose test. I got 148 and max is 140. I'm assuming my doc will send me to the 3 hour test next. Also noticed my iron was a little low, so I'm supplementing now.
Yesterday my BFF took me out for a pedicure. I took off my socks and noticed my legs were swollen! Then my BFF told me how her scary pregnancy symptoms and now I'm scared. She had bad edema, anemia, and gave birth 4 weeks early due to low amniotic fluid. I'm worried I'll be the same.

Another random: had a dream that some random girl offered me crack, knowing it would cause an immediate miscarriage. I think it was a poor joke. In my dream, I totally went off on this girl, accusing her of wishing my baby was dead and weird stuff. It all took place in a chocolate store. Weird.
freddyisready sucks you failed I'm worried about mine now....
I think if I didn't eat right before I went, I would have been ok. And been more hydrated. Good luck, momma!
Don't beat yourself up, I don't think it really matters. So sorry you're stuck doing the 3 hour. But you were so close, it seems like your odds of passing would be good.
Morning everyone. We aren't doing the whole Superbowl thing today. H and I just aren't into it. We usually go grocery shopping Sunday nights so we'll go during the game.
Yesterday was so nice. We went to Old Navy and spent a gift card I had from Christmas. I got a couple sweaters for like $11 on clearance, a maternity cami, cardigan, and a nice loose shirt that will fit the growing belly. We only spent $10 of our own money. Then we did Sephora to stock up. Looked for a new hat for H. And had Chipotle for lunch since H loves it so much. I did laundry and cleaned a bunch when we got home. I felt so productive!
So I don't usually leave the house on Sundays anyway but because I actually can't due to snow today it's making me nuts and making me feel that I need to go out somewhere!
I spoke too soon on that whole "no snow in Michigan" thing didn't I? Hahha
All this pancake talk makes me wish I liked them. I just am not a pancake person.
I prefer French toast. I can only eat like one pancake then I'm full, so I never order them
I don't like how pancakes get soggy. If I do eat any I have to dip it in the syrup for each bite. I do however LOVE french toast and was thinking of making it for supper.

I knew it was just a matter of time -- we finally got our foot of snow! Or however much it is... on the driveway it looks like a foot, when I open the back door there is a nice 6-8" wall of snow off the deck, and it's still coming down. So grateful that I ran errands yesterday and that it happens to be DH's day off, his job is an essential service so no snow days or calling in for him. To anyone who does have to go to work in this, stay safe out there! We are in hibernation mode today, I did brave the outdoors to walk the dog (huskies don't have snow days either) but that's about it.
As far as the game tonight, I'll "watch" it with DH, but I'm mostly in it for the frozen deep dish pizzas I picked up yesterday.
Ugh it's 4:30 I just woke up from the worst night mare since I was a kid. My dad is a race car driver I had a dream he got into a horrible crash and cars were flying up in the air literally it was such a bad crash. I woke up shaking and crying I finally calmed down. I guess I didn't realize how nervous I am about missing his races this summer with having the baby.
*hugs* nightmares like that are the worst! I've had a few bad/vivid ones in pregnancy, at least 2 where I've woken up crying and DH has had to calm me down.
H and I are leaving Thursday for a little long weekend getaway to NH. I cannot wait.
question for you ladies... What's the general consensus about bikinis with a bump? We're going to an indoor water park and will be swimming at the pool, and all I have are bikinis (nothing skimpy... But it does expose my belly). I really don't want to have to buy a maternity tankini, but wasn't sure how majority of people felt about seeing a big ol' pregnant belly in a bikini.
I will be taking full advantage of a bikini with a bump as soon as it's warm enough TYVM. are there people that side eye pregnant ladies in bikinis? DONT CURR

If I could pull off a bikini when I wasn't pregnant, I'd totally rock one knocked up. But believe me when I say I can't pull one off ever.

As far as a bikini with a bump, I say if you feel comfortable then go for it! I am a one-piece 4 lyfe kind of girl, but that's just me.
Also, all this pancake talk has me wanting to make some, I have all the fixings but we have a piss-poor amount of maple syrup on hand. I know it's POSSIBLE to have pancakes without maple syrup, but it's almost pointless.

Welcome to the failed club... I go for my 3 hour tomorrow. I hope we both pass with flying colors!

Have fun on your trip!
This is exactly how I feel. If I ever wore two pieces anymore I'd totally wear one now. But I haven't felt comfortable in a bikini in years. Have fun rocking that cute bump!

Make your own syrup! 1 cup white sugar 1 cup brown sugar 1 1/3 cups water 1 tbsp maple or vanilla extract
