Somehow my boss ended up on the only on-time flight from Seattle to here. How that is possible, but I'm too snowed in to hang out with the chiawombat's today is both mind boggling and annoying.
Snow day here today. We are supposed to get 14 inches. Church was cancelled. Hopefully we'll be able to get the bathroom done. Just the medicine cabinet and sink to install. We're so close to being done! I think both of us are ready for this project to be done and for us to have full use of both bathrooms again.
carissalynp, I have similar issues with church. We only have one service at 11am, which is right in the middle of nap time. So I can either wake LO and end up pacing the foyer with a crabby baby or I can try to delay nap and end up pacing the foyer with a crabby baby. Either way, I don't actually get to be in service so what's the point in going? I've pretty much given up until LO drops her morning nap. It sucks, but it is what it is.

Seriously LOLing at "thinks it's bananas." Broccoli story time...
First semester of freshman year at college, a buddy of mine from high school lived in the boys dorm next to mine. He got wasted for the first time on all the alcoholz and had called for help getting home. I got him to his room and set up with a trash can nearby. I gave his neighbor (and friend) his keys and asked him to check on him periodically. We thought he had passed out, but suddenly from the inert figure on the bed came, "This shit is bananas. B-A-N-A-N-A-S." That's great, Bob. Go to sleep.
DH suddenly wants us to drive to Napa today to go look at a project car he wants. The only thing stopping him right now is banks are closed so he can't get cash to pay for it if he likes it. Ugh.
MissDemeanor yes I posted photos of the decor earlier and an AW of DD in her party dress, then I took them down so they didn't clog up the first page! I'll post them again in the birthday thread tomorrow
Good. It's always nice to know that today isn't the day I've gone crazy

morning all! I'm throwing a last minute Super Bowl party for the BF, LO and I. were having wings, mozzarella sticks, nachos and veggies with home made ranch. I'm off to the store right now. I think we may even have Chavelas ( For those who haven't heard of a Chavela, Its like a bloody beer but mexican. Its beer, normally a mexican brew I suggest Modelo Especial. With Calmato juice, lemon & some hot sauce, i prefer chulula. With a salted or spiced rim.)
Im excited. And Im cheering for Katy Perry to win the big game

I just want to document this rare moment: MY FLOORS ARE CLEAN!!!!! No dog hair, no dust bunnies, no stupid foot prints, and no milk dribbles. I know this will only last a few more minutes so I am off to revel in the glorious shine.
Snow day equals a productive day here. I've got meatballs, candied bacon and beer brats made for today, plus a couple of easy meals to help with this week completed. What should I do next?

I couldn't care less about the game later, but I'm hella excited for the food. We have tortilla chips, guac, and spinach and artichoke dip for this afternoon. Special fun dinner of macaroni and fish sticks. And lemon bars for post kid bedtime. Plus, I got lemonade for dh and ds1.

I'm still having convertible car seat buyer anxiety.... Did we choose a bad one? Did we spend too much? Am I going to hate loading him in and out of it in my car?
We just endured IKEA for the high chair. It was out of stock.
No! I hate that. Last time we went, they had the seat and chair in stock but not the tray. So we still need to go back and get the tray for my parent's house.
So I needed 8 oz of velveeta for my crockpot mac and cheese. I put a little block on the grocery list (using the Wegmans app, you can select sizes of products). Of course everything was gone because Super Bowl so DH brought home all they had - a 32 oz block. What should I do with 24 oz of pasteurized recipe cheese product? (That's what it's called on the box)
Happy birthday baby bookshelves and baby lalaprep! And happy party day to caer and tLex! Can't wait to see pics!
carissalynp and other church-going ladies, I also sometimes feel that "what's the point" feeling on Sundays. DS gets so bored and keeps asking how much longer, or we have to keep telling him to sit up/don't lay on the pew. DD wants to get down and run around at first, then gets super tired because mass is right during her nap time. I know that it will all pass (DS is starting to get much better now than he was even a few months ago) but dang, going to mass is exhausting these days! And I usually get exactly nothing out of it, seeing as how I can't pay attention to what's happening.
Anyway, we skipped mass today (oops) due to snow/sleeping in too late. We are enjoying a lazy, snowy Sunday. I have a super easy meal plan for the week with literally nothing to prep today. I might actually get some sewing done this afternoon!
I just got word that another RA is working with me tonight!! Woot woot! I thought I was going be shuttling 7 people to 2 different meetings in the dark and in the rain by myself. I feel SO relieved that I'll have help.
Granted, it's the RA that all the girls hate with a fiery passion, but hey, it's help.
Hey bepandnick is there any way to determine which store a Carters outfit came from? We got some wrong-size-for-season (or would it be wrong-season-for-size?) stuff for LO and I would like to exchange but have no gift receipts.
Most of the tags are the same regardless of the store because Carter's tags it's product for us. Can you take a picture of one of the tags? I can tell you if it came from a department store or a big box. After that, you should be good to take them to any store.
