@tonksky I also lived in the UK in the early 90's and I loved those too!
I miss a lot of the chocolate from over there. I can never find them here
My mother and grandmother were born in Scotland. When my grandmother was alive, she would go back to visit her sister quite often, and she would come home with plastic shopping bags full of British candybars for me -- Crunchies, Curly Wurlys, Lion bars, Double Deckers, Aero bars ... I miss them! I can get Crunchie bars at Wegman's, but not the others. My mom doesn't go back to visit.
Oh man! I loved all of those!! I can occasionally get Aero bars at world market but that's it! You guys are making me miss all of that great chocolate!

I am surprised no one had said twinkies. Didn't they stop production a year or 2 ago?
Someone bought the company and started production back up. I was never a Twinkie fan but I loved the Hostess cupcakes. I tried them when they started making them again and they are super gross now
McDonald's cheese danishes. They were soooo good and such a special treat for me as a kid!!! They heated them and they were a wonderful ooey gooey warm cheesey sugary breakfast!!
I miss those! I can occasionally get them here but it's really hit or miss.
From my Toronto days I miss coffee crisp! I can't find those here either. Also real smarties! The ones here with the same name (chalky and gross) are not those at all. Smarties are much better than an m & m in my opinion!
Also, I ate an amazing chocolate bar when I lived in the UK in the early 90s. Called wispa gold, it was like a caramilk and an aero bar mated. It was heaven. I used to be able to find them in specialty sweet shops, but even those dried up
Holy shit, I was coming on here to actually say the original US Wispa bar but thought, there's no way anyone would ever remember that thing. Oh my god, I loved that candy bar.

I forgot about the tangerine lifesavers! Those things were freaking fantastic.
I really miss Twigs. It was a stick-shaped snack cracker, and it was cheddar with sesame seeds. I'm not sure when they stopped manufacturing them, but I discovered it a few years ago when I had a really big craving for them and couldn't find them.
One that went away but came back is a local food: Gibbles Puffys. Seriously, they're the best cheese curls EVAR! The original owners sold the family business a year or 2 ago, but someone bought it and started making everything again. You still can't get the products in every store, but there are enough that carry it that I can easily find them and enjoy the Puffy goodness... after letting the bag sit open overnight so they get stale because that's when they're the best.
Mr. Phipps Pretzel Chips. Chili Lime Tostidos (now they are just Hint of Lime) From the UK - Flapjacks. Not pancakes. My husband goes on and on about Apple Slice.
I would have said crispy M&Ms but apparently those exist again!!! I haven't actually looked for myself but my sister saw them. What was so weird about those is they stopped making them for the U.S. market but still made them overseas. When my sister studied abroad in Australia I made her bring me a ton back.
I can't really think of anything else but DH was obsessed with Hi-C Ecto Cooler. He still talks about it. One of the Juicy Juice flavors tastes similar and he gets that every once and a while.
I found and consumed my first bag of 2nd generation crispy M&Ms! They do exist!

I nearly cried when Gibbles went away, and then nearly cried tears of joy when they came back! I can only get them at the "real" grocery store (vs. Walmart and the closer stores for snack runs), which is a good thing because a bag doesn't last long in my possession!

lainikins They still make chocolate Necco wafers, in fact it is the one flavor you can buy a whole roll of instead of getting 1 or 2 in the mixed flavor roll.
