Then I had to WFH because DH hurt his foot last night playing soccer and he needed me to help him lift and carry DD. But of course I left my computer at work so I had to go and get it in the morning. Double commute. Awesome.
Then I took DH for x-rays and we found out he has 3 broken bones in his foot. So now he won't be able to take 100% care of DD for a while. So I will now have to take on carrying for DD during the day together with helping an immobile husband, while working full time and doing all the necessary household chores.
And on top this off I usually only get around 4 hours of sleep at night because DD has decided that she needs an extra solids meal at night so I have to get up around 2am to make oatmeal (which DH promised he'd take over, until... well...).

aggiebug We try to give her a meal now every 2-2.5 hours and she gulps every one of them down. I feel like she has no bottom, like she could just eat forever (: Some nights she STTN, but there isn't a pattern that I've noticed.
lilyelayne I always try to nurse first. Usually we nurse at 8pm before bedtime, then she wakes up hungry between 12:30am-2am and we nurse again. This sometimes leads her to fall back asleep, but more often than not she stays awake (or falls asleep and wakes up again 10 min later) and whimpers until we give her more food. If I try to nurse at this point she can suck for an hour and still cry when I try to unlatch her. I just feel dry. This is why I push solids, because if we give her oatmeal or yoghurt at that point she's asleep as soon as I put her back in bed.
Ugh. I really hope she gets over this soon.
How big are her meals right now? They should be 4-6 tablespoons for 3 meals and then 1-3 snacks. I would push bigger meals with more fat and protein, especially for dinner. Pushing more food in the day helps with needing less at night.
I understand her staying awake longer at the MOTN wake-up because DS won't be back in his crib in less than an hour. Maybe try nursing, walking and rocking, and repeat if she won't go down. I wouldn't do solids MOTN because it seems unlikely that she'll drop that on her own.

She eats about 5-6 tbsp for 5 meals. We always try to load it with extra fat, but since we are mainly vegetarian we may have a problem with protein content? Not sure. Do you think that would help? Maybe we could add a snack or two, but it already feels like all we do all day is eat...
She's never been rocked to sleep so I'm not sure if that would help. A few months ago we just increased solids intake during the day and she automatically started sleeping through the night, so I'm hoping if we find the right amount of energy intake during the day maybe she'll do the same now. Maybe I'm delusional from lack of sleep, lol?

I would add some more protein to her diet. Salmon is a good choice. I cooked a large filet and then shredded it and put it in an ice cube tray. A serving would be one or two cubes and it was like 30 seconds in the microwave to defrost. I've also done mashed beans or dal. Nut butter on toast or yogurt are other good choices.
I understand about feeling like it's non-stop eating. I feel like I'm always handing DS yet another snack when he's awake.
I was surprised at how well DS took to being rocked and walked around to sleep when he's fighting sleep MOTN.
