This post is totally NOT what you think it's about. But now that I have your attention! We have a very fancy wedding on Saturday and my dress is form fitting. I went out and got a pair of spanx panties that come to just below my boobs. I feel a little muffin topish especially with where my nylons cut off, so I thought it might be a solution. When I put them on with the dress I just look solid now not really curvy or pregnant (IMO). DH says do whatever feels comfortable but I'm uncomfortable both ways. I'm disappointed in my body right now. So what would you do? No Spanks and look a bit more lumpy but possibly feel physically more comfortable? Or spanks with smoother lines and possibly being a bit physically uncomfortable because it's sucked in and with the addition of looking more overweight than pregnant? I don't know if this even makes sense!! Help!
I would definitely go without the spanx. I tried I wear them once during my first pregnancy and it was super uncomfortable. Embrace the lumpy look! I'm sure you'll look beautiful regardless!

I wore that type of spanx with my business suit yesterday and they were awful. They didn't stay up - kept rolling down and digging into me whenever I sat down.

There are pregnancy spanx. With my job during my first pregnancy, it was a suit and pantyhose every day. They weren't completely I comfortable but they weren't awesome. If you really wanted to be smooth you can get them at target or destination maternity.

Do what makes you feel most comfortable. I'm sure you will look beautiful either way. I've used pregnancy off brand spanx and I thought they did a decent job.

Are you able to find maternity nylons/tights?
I also have been known to cut slits in the sides of regular nylons making them more comfortable and reducing the muffin top appearance (though often this renders nylons a one time use - though i also tend to get runs in them any way between my nails and cats and clumsiness, so not a huge issue)
At this point in time comfort for me would outweigh how I look/feel I look. I have a hunch you look just fine either way - but i understand the self doubt. The spanx do worry me for if they're too restricting, especially by the end of the day - but you know your comfort level best

I would go without spanx because those things never stay where you want them to, and you end up needing to adjust and readjust all the time. I know what you mean about nylons, though. Can you go without or get a bigger/maternity pair?
I say no spanx and I would maybe consider no nylons. Sometimes they smooth you sometimes they make you look worse. If that's not an option I say no spanx. If you're not happy either way why be uncomfortable and unhappy? Ps I am sure you look great either way but I get that we are often hardest on ourselves.

I vote for maternity pantyhose and either super smooth high waisted underwear or no underwear. It's a wedding and January so I think you need pantyhose at least. Although i'm pretty rigid in my support of stockings!!
