Wow early Monday! I really should be sleeping. But I don't want to get up and wash my nipple shield. Again.. Stitches suck. Goodnight for now I'll be back in a few hours
DH is taking a full month off to help me and the baby and I'm not working anymore and we totally screwed our own sleep schedules. We go to bed anywhere from 4-6 am, sleep on and off with LO until like 1-3pm. It's gonna suck for DH when he starts working again. And I feel like we do absolutely nothing all day but take care of baby girl and watch tv.
I don't even know who won the Super Bowl? I did eat delicious food, and have a drink or two. We are up for our first feeding since 9:30!!! 9:30-2 I will take it. Now to see how long this second stretch is. FX it's more than an hour or two.
Edit: because yet again either I can't spell, or autocorrect
I just fed E and now I'm pumping. He's not going back to sleep though - I can see him on the monitor just squirming and fussing. I can't get in there because I'm attached to this stupid pump and of course H isn't waking up. So frustrating...
DH likes to tell me " maybe she will sleep until 5:30 and not 4:30 so I can power through work." Um ok yea I could power through the day sitting at a computer. You power through the day watching a toddler and a month old!
I get up for the early feeding and he gets the late feeding.
Ugh I fell down the stairs last night and now I am so sore. It really sucks because I was really starting to feel good and planed some serious workout time this week. I hope I can power through.
I have been up with a fussy LO for 2hours now. He just wants to be held, nothing else. Of course DH doesn't understand why I'm frustrated. Well you're sleeping and I'm up, like always. Eventually it wears on a girl

I'm pretty sure LO has hit the cluster feeding stage early. We have been up every hour all night. He's just 4 days old! I thought I had more time to get used to breastfeeding before I had to deal with this. I guess this is one time that I'm thankful I have to use a shield bc I don't think my poor nipples would survive otherwise. Also he is a pooping machine. I have already changed his diaper 3 times tonight.
LO slept for 4 hours, so by the time I finished pumping, I ended up getting 3 1/2 hours of sleep myself. Maybe this really will get better like people say! Yesterday we went to the IL's house for the Super Bowl. I could give a shit about football, and I knew my husband would be caught up in socializing and it would be me taking care of the baby the whole time, so I didn't want to go. My husband talked me into it, and sure enough, I was right. I spent a good hour of the time there nursing, then LO was so tired and couldn't fall and stay asleep with all the commotion, so it was just me and my grouchy infant. So not worth leaving the house.
Happy Monday! My mom is coming tomorrow just for the day, so I'll be cleaning a bit today. DS1 is 26 months, and it's like as soon as I put away his toys, he gets them out again. We've tried to institute a "before you get out a new toy, put this one away" rule, but it's hard to enforce when I'm dealing with DS2.
I'll probably cook a bit today (Thai curry and also chocolate peanut butter rice crispies for DH's birthday). My flowers I got when DS2 was born have mostly died, but I plan on keeping some and the ribbon, so I'll probably do that. Some like roses are pretty dried, but I'm sad to throw away the lilies and daisies.

Snow day!! Almost all local school boards are closed. DH plowed the driveway at 6pm last night and again at 6am this morning. Our neighbour got stuck at the end of the driveway (roads haven't been plowed yet) and DH is still going to attempt to make it in to work, though I have a feeling he'll be back soon.
I have my induction scheduled for 8 pm tonight and I can't sleep. I know those of you who already have your babies aren't getting much either, but I was hoping to start off well rested. Ha!

Good luck!
I felt the same way the day before I was supposed to go in for mine.

Last night we had a Super Bowl party, which actually went pretty well. LO was happy in the Boba wrap for a couple hours on and off, so I got to eat yummy food and socialize a little. DH was helpful and got the video monitor set up so we could see him while he slept in his crib upstairs. Then when I went to feed him near the end of the game, I laid down to nurse him and we both totally passed out after he was done! I didn't mean to, but the best part was that my hubby cleaned up all the mess from the party! (And when I woke up, he told me I won all the money from our group's Super Bowl bet
Did anyone log on to the dump and see the layout changes. My eyes! They burn!
I did! So odd - I really don't like it.
So Saturday we went out to a museum with the kiddos, and it worked! We each wore one, and they mostly slept through the whole things. It would have been nicer to have the stroller with us so we could at least put one down when we got tired, but the damn subway isn't accessible, and we didn't feel like struggling with it up the stairs, so it got left behind. Not a bad trip out though.
Oh, and the babies got their own tickets. Free of course, but still adorable.
L has decided he only wants to eat half the time he normally does for the past day. Diaper output is still good and I know I should be more concerned but 3am feedings for 20 mins instead of 40 are amazing.

Pumping is awful. I pumped a little last night for the first time and again this morning. Kudos to the mommies who are exclusively pumping - I wouldn't be able to do it. I mostly pumped for the practice, since I'll be going back to work in 4 weeks, but I'm also going to dinner tonight and will miss a feeding time. DH is actually really excited to be able to feed LO - it's cute.

I'm joining the leaky boob Club. I washed my sheets yesterday, just to wake up in a pool of milk! Now I gotta re wash them! I also didn't wear a bra yesterday (maybe 2 hours total) and I have to just use a Burp cloth to catch all the milk leaking from the other side while I nurse. Bras are such a pain in the ass!
