I am talking to my boss about a potential for anorher job today. Normally, I wouldn't. But bc I'm a nanny I can't just take off for interviews. I had one last week she doesn't know about, but I have one on wed. If this goes well, it's a long process but I have to go in for a lie detector test, anorher day for drug test, and another day for a meeting. So I won't be able to hide it.
I'm nervous, but she has told me about 3 times if I need to leave they understand.
I work really long hours there with some overnights and weekends. So, with having a baby it may not work out too well!
Ugh I'm super mad that I had to call in today... But I have a major upset stomach that I just don't think I can manage at work.
Hope you feel better! I called in too because of my sore throat/cold. I might go in this afternoon. We'll see.
Feel better as well!! I do have a meeting that I have to be at this afternoon as well so that'll be it for me. I just hate having to use time that I want to save up for the baby!! It makes me feel so guilty.
I am wide awake, just moved to the couch. I hate sleeping with my husband these days! He snores or breathes heavily and when he lays on his back or rolls towards me all I can smell is his breath and it makes me nauseous. How do you ask your husband to roll over because his breath is too stinky?!
You push him and say omg ur breath is going to make me get sick.... Or that's just me
This is what I do... Or throw an elbow in his face
Officially snowed in! Would love a snow day but I have the ability to work from home so here I am, getting ready to conference with my team at the office. Blarg.
As a former kindergarten teacher, this is a significant holiday.
I told DD1 last week (she's in first grade) that she might have a snow day today. She informed me that they couldn't because it's Groundhog Day. They only have a 2 hour delay so hopefully they get to continue with whatever was planned.
I'M GOING TO HAVE A NEPHEW! I woke up this morning down in the dumps after poor DH had to deal with 3 crying moments within 10 minutes yesterday evening, I knew I was being ridiculous and was laughing while crying about how stupid hormones are. My brother has just made my day, he just found out its a little boy due 4 weeks after my son!

I just could not get comfortable enough to sleep last night.
And we got a bunch of snow, so I decided to work from home today. Although I kept DS home from the babysitter because I didn't want to go out to take him. That may have been a mistake. Ha. Not sure how much I will actually get done today.... I say as I am on here instead of working. Oops.
It's Monday!!!! Fuck you Monday We are in a snow shower as they call it and I just put my mini dachshund out for a pee....... Lost him for a minute hehe. Poor little short ass. Have a great day, better go make myself pretty for my adventure into work on public transport (2 more weeks and then Australia) I can do this
I have a mini dachshund too... is yours temperamental as crap and does what he wants? lol I love my little guy but he really is one of the worst dogs... but he is my fur baby.
I found out Friday that my BFF back home is 8 weeks pregnant!! I am ecstatic for her and her husband.. they were TTC even longer than I was.. like 1.5 years. I told her about some "sperm friendly" lubricant I used that seemed to work for me the first time TRIGGER (although ended in MMC) and she bought some and used it and now is preggo! I am so happy! Docs couldn't figure out why she wasn't getting pregnant and they were going to start fertility treatments this month. Sorry, I can't contain my excitement

HAHAHAHA!!! Mine is stubborn and hilarious. I think I got lucky with him really. He is def my baby too.
We got a lot more snow than I was expecting, which sucks. They called for 12-15 inches and we got way more. DD's school was cancelled (of course) and SO's work was as well. DD has already had 5 or 6 snow days this year.
I swear this has been the worst winter in a long time... I feel like it just snows and snows everyday.
I do that just about every day - I'm not even nice about it, I ask DH if he ate actual shit before going to bed. He's cool with it - he just turns the other way and goes back to sleep. Honesty is the best policy IMO.
LMAO! I do this same thing. I make him get up and brush his teeth when it's really bad.

OMG- he is adorable. I love dapples! Mine is a red-dapple... he is 10 years old but does not act 10... more like 5!
I went to the grocery store today to only get a TV dinner for lunch and walked out with a can of soup, a box of granola bars, Flaming Hot Cheetos, Special K Brownie Bites, Pinwheels, seaweed snacks, and then my TV dinner.
Being pregnant plus hungry makes for a very expensive grocery store run.
He does brush before bed... always. Does your breath not smell bad after sleeping?
I meant no offense; I'm just saying since his breath is really bad then that would do. Of course your breath (including mine) smells bad after sleeping, but the way you we're implying I thought you meant it was like horrible.

Ours really hasn't been bad except for the past few days and then a few days in November. Last winter was awful, we had 40 below wind chills and tons of snow. I should stop complaining about what we're getting now, it's nothing compared to last year!
Same here. I'm sitting here pissed because it's 1 degree out but in reality it's been in the 30's a lot and is going to be back up in the 30's by the weekend. And no huge snowstorms yet. Last winter was truly fucking terrible.

I also have some pretty bad ass breath in the morning.
I hate to post a downer note but I am in shock and not sure what to do. I run a division of 150 ppl and I just found out that one of our employees died suddenly over the weekend. I didn't work closely with her at all and barely knew her but of course others did.
Here's the dilemma. We were scheduled to host a huge party this afternoon that will be joined by others outside of our division. The catering is non-refundable. The party is an end of the year reward for the staff so canceling it seems wrong. Everyone is asking me what to do. I was thinking we could do a moment of silence and call it a time to gather and appreciate one another versus a party. Any other ideas? Moving the date and canceling not an option and we will have others outside of our division showing up.
That's a really tough situation and I wish I could offer some advice but it sounds like your idea is a pretty good one. I'm really sorry to hear about your employee.

Oh shit!!! I'm so sorry. I think go ahead with it, and when you have a speech, mention it, a min silence would be nice and tell everyone to please enjoy, such and such would have wanted you to be rewarded for such a wonderful year.... Something like that

I agree that you should not cancel, because it is a reward and it has all ready been planned. i like the idea of the moment of silence.
