Last night LO was crying and I thought to myself, if DH can sleep through the baby crying, does that mean he would sleep through me murdering him? Yeaaaa weekends are when I expect him to help with motn stuff and he didn't deliver. And now it's the damn week again.

I feel like we have so much baby shit that I already know we're not going to use. It's not even crazy stuff, just basic things - he's too small for all of his 0-3 month sleepers and I think he'll be too hot in them by the time they fit, he hates his bassinet and only sleeps in the crib, we suck at cloth diapering...

I want to sell things on Craigslist already because the amount of money that I anticipate being wasted makes me sick.

No, not yet. He's fine once he actually falls asleep. It's when he's awake, falling asleep, or wakes up without it that it's the end of the damn world that he doesn't have it in his mouth and wants it that moment. 

We can go hours without it while he's awake, but the moment he wants to suck on it, he has to have it right that minute. If he doesn't, he still screams his head off with it in his mouth until he realizes he actually has it.

You can always hold on to some of the stuff (like the bassinet) for the BRU trade in next year or this year actually. I'll probably be doing that next year with some of our stuff that he has outgrown. Baby number is not happening for 4+ years so some of it I won't want to hold on to.

Pretty typical for my babies. Last night I spent 30 mins easy just holding S' paci in his mouth for him so I could hopefully go to bed. It didn't work...

Thanks, I will look into that! I've been getting emails from BRU about the trade in, but I ignored them because I thought it was just about car seats.

Yeah I have so much crap that isn't going to fit this kid. He was born 3 weeks early and were newborn clothes for about 3 weeks. And now he fits in some 3 months stuff. But he's growing pretty fast so I'm worried his three month stuff isn't going to last until April. At the end of the fall I ended up buying a ton of stuff on clearance at Carters. So I have a lot of short sleeve shirts summer stuff in size 6 months figuring that he would be that size in June July now I'm not sure.

I confronted DH about his lack of help during the week and he said that he sees it as the baby is my job and he keeps up with the house/goes to work. I almost flew across the room and attacked him. I then explained how challenging getting anything done around the house is one handed, while pumping, feeding LO, and shoving food in my mouth at the same time. He doesnt get it at all.

DH made a vet appointment for our 60 pound 10 month old dog for Friday morning, and I asked him if he planned on taking her. He said "Can't you take her?" I couldn't tell if he was joking or not (because he likes to see how mad I'll get over stuff like that), but if he thinks for one second I'm going to cart around a newborn and a big fat puppy that doesn't listen when we're in public, he's crazy.

I really dislike being broke, but that's what I chose when I said I would stay at home with the kids apparently. When we decided this H had a good job and it worked well, since then he had to find a new one that doesn't pay nearly as much. So we are now living paycheck to paycheck. We also only have one car that he takes to work. So with tax return we were planning on getting me a car, but we were also looking into moving into a bigger place, because H's brother was going to come and stay with us. Now it looks like I get to choose between my car and a new place. Grrrr

Right! My husband doesn't get it, either. At all. Then just when I think he's catching on, I quickly find out it's wishful thinking. He gets to sleep all night, so he can't possibly understand what this sleep deprivation is doing to me. I have to constantly explain to him that my whole existence right now revolves around feeding the baby. Breastfeeding is HARD, and he acts like it's a piece of cake since it's been going well (by going well, I mean my supply is enough to feed my baby and she's gaining weight, not that I'm enjoying it). Whenever he has the nerve to tell me he's tired, it's everything in me not to haul off and sock him in the face (or dick, or both). Our lives have changed in such different ways that I guess it's just hard to see eye to eye right now... so until things settle a bit, I'll continue my bitching.

It took our third kid for H to finally understand I can't do it all. He's now "helping" with laundry cooking most of the meals and dealing with the older two once he's home from work since 6-11 pm is LO's crab fest. And on another note I'm at the chiro it's 3:53 my appt was supposed to be at 3:30. I guess I shouldn't have rushed.

It finally happened, I snapped on my mom. She's been here 8 days, so I think that's a record. But I can only listen to her discipline and crab at my kids so much... Yes my 3yo locked the bathroom door shut and yes I'm upset about it and I did let dd2 know what she did was wrong in a stern manner. You don't need to make her feel like shit too! I'm sorry my food is too "rich" for you and your stomach can't take it. Yes, we ate like crap last night because it was the super bowl. Complain much??

My kids loved the food, and loved eating it in front of the tv. That's the best part of the super bowl for me, watching how happy they are!

DH and I had the "I'm on mat leave not on vacation!" talk when I was off with DS. He often didn't know how to be helpful so he just didn't do anything. So frustrating! He's been so much more helpful this time around.

FI checks the mail, and what's in it? Bills, ugh! Bill for baby's circ, bill for my heath insurance this month since I don't get paid through work while on leave and therefore don't get payroll deductions, and bill for car/renter insurance due to said lack of payroll deductions.

Ugh, I never realized how much it easier it is to just have it all come directly out of my check!

The doctors can't figure out why my son (and other babies) keep having bloody stools. My son had to go on bowel rest for 48 hours and after discussing three times with the doctors we were finally able to get them to agree it was okay to start again at exactly 48 hours (they wanted to wait another 16 hours)

Now I've been told he will get fed, but only 5ml and on a continuous feeds. How the hell will that be effective? My son is over four weeks old and is still below his birth weight.

My husband is also using me as the excuse for pushing our son to get fed again, instead of it being our idea, which it is.

Why does my h think him being home means that he can just go close himself in the bedroom and play on his phone and sleep meanwhile I sit here with two kids, unshowered and covered in spit up and breast milk?? He keeps trying to sneak away and never offers to help at all. He takes 1 feeding a day around 2 am because he stays up late anyway and acts like he should get to sleep all day to make up for that. Plus he is constantly texting me trying to engage me in some sort of "adult activity" geared toward him (I am 3 weeks pp). The last thing on my mind right now is his stupid penis! Ugh! Super annoying.
