Do any of you bring your SO to your appointments? My H wants to come to the first one. I'll have a dating ultrasound done (8 weeks), but I'm pretty sure they also said I'm getting a pap smear so I'm not sure how much he's going to want to sit around for
DH will come to all the appts with an u/s, but probably not the others. He didn't come to my first OB appt, because I wasn't expecting an u/s.

I was so relieved to have a good appointment last Friday, but today I got a phone call that my lab work is off. I have a chronic disease that didn't flare up until I was full term with DS, but my condition is already at the state now (at just over 8 weeks) that it was at when I was induced because of it with DS. I'm not sure what is ahead of us, but I'm scared shitless. Only time will tell.

Someone tell me it's okay to take the three year old zofan I found in the back of the medican cabinet. I know. I know. I just hate feeling so sick all day long. I have my first appointment tomorrow, so by lunch time i plan to be popping some sort of magic pill that will allow me to feel slightly human!

My doctor told me not to take my two year old zofran fwiw

We took a short weekend trip to Monterey so DD could go to the aquarium. Sometimes she wakes up at 5:45 AM and after a while, she falls back asleep. Right as she was falling back asleep in the hotel, the garbage truck came by and woke her up. Grr...needless to say, we had a very early morning wake up, but the aquarium was fun and she got to sleep on the drive home.
Ready for my first appointment tomorrow...last time around, I had DH go to all the appointments. I'm not sure what we'll do this time around, particularly because we had to change OB clinics to one that is farther away. I'll probably just have him come to the "big" ones. He will be coming tomorrow...I know they will do the doppler and I'm *hoping* they will do an U/S or I can say how nervous I am and see if that will prompt the U/S. Does that work for anyone?!

DH comes as many as he can. I think he missed 2 last time. He usually has his mental list of questions and I like to have him there for the medical history part.

I'm using 2 year old zofran. It's cool. Eta: usually pills lose potency after a set period of time. I haven't had issues with zofran not working.

Oh my! What's the next step? Hope everything is ok.
roofusdoofus I'm sorry you got that news today. Hope that you will have answers soon.
Pregnancy brain is real. My appointment was not at 4 in Huntington like I thought, it was at 3:15 in Newport. Didn't make it in time thanks to writing it down incorrectly in my phone. That will teach me not to call around to schedule several different things all at the same time, not as efficient as I thought if I can't document them correctly on my calendar. So now I go Friday instead. Blah, I was excited.
H has been sick and can't taste anything so I made myself a dinner he doesn't care for - shepherds pie. Even though he's not eating it, he is acting all grossed out and calling it dog food. Lol, more for me!

Well, just made baby Facebook official. I couldn't remember who I had told and who I hadn't so we decided to just go ahead so no one would randomly ask.

I'm sorry, that's so scary. Is there anything they can do to get it under control?

ameliabird and bocaburger The next step is to do a 24 hour urine catch for a further analysis of the protein spill. From there, there are limited treatments that are safe during pregnancy. We're hoping that they can find a way to at least control my blood pressure (it's elevated already due to my condition) and keep this baby in as long as possible without my kidneys failing. FX for good results in the 24 hour analysis. I'll know more mid to late this week.
Thanks so much everyone for the thoughts and prayers. We need all that we can get.

More for future reference from a pharmacist: Most labels say expired one year from issue date from pharmacy not true manufacture date. Zofran has a manufacture shelf life of 36 months to 2 years in bullet packets. Opened in bottle 12 months.
countrycotton - can you get your OB to call in a fresh scrip tomorrow? If you're that desperate it sounds like it is time for something!
Yay for good appointments!
We got so much done today! My house is so much more clean and livable. I even got a badly needed hair trim. I made the Pioneer Woman's corn and cheese chowder for dinner and it was so toddler approved that both girls had seconds! The cibbatta with cheese I tried turned out reasonably well too.
Now PgAL brain needs to shush worrying. I seem to feel better when I'm active and I was cleaning like mad all morning.
