Good thoughts @jodiann / it is normal/ feel better? No, didn't think so.
B is napping on my at the moment, she's keeping me warm! I was super productive for about 3 hours working from home. Then got side tracked and watched 'my cousin Vinny' Then DC texted that B has a slight fever so I decided to go pick her up. That's my day so far- plus lots and lots of shoveling!
You both don't. I want to be done but I have no clue how to go about it. Nursing a mobile toddler is not the same. There are no more cuddles. Just throat kicks.
Thanks so much everyone. I've read that this type of spotting is normal, but I'm scared, nonetheless. There's no cramping associated with it, so that's a good thing.
@mothereffer, you are NOT doing it wrong. As much as we hate to hear it, it's completely developmentally appropriate. E bit DH today and broke skin -- I'm just counting down the days until daycare calls to tell me he's bitten another child.
This. Except A has already bitten another kid on two separate occasions. I was pleasantly surprised when we didn't get another discipline report at all last week.
cagoldi I must have missed the discussion about this. A got a discipline report for biting? What does that mean? Also, do they know why he is biting, like feeling stressed or overwhelmed in certain situations?

This all day long. I'm not ready to give it up, but I'm so over it at the same time.

ladystrat he doesn't like to lift the shirt, even if I offer it to him that way, he wants it through the neckhole. So all of my shirts are ridiculously stretched out.
MFFC? I can't wait to have our second baby and try nursing again. It didn't work out well with L, we only lasted 3 months, so I can't wait to see if it works out next time. I'm scared of feeling defeated again but I keep telling myself I won't do that this time.
I'm relieved to never have to endure it again. If we have another, we are FF from the start. The thought of trying to BF again is enough to make me say we'd be OAD for sure.
dapostrophe it's like an incident report for when they fall or something but instead details the behavior. So they tell him no biting and bring him aside to sit with them for a minute to try to get him to understand if he is biting he will not be able to play with the other kids. He does do it more when he is tired, and he gets only a 30 minute nap most days, but I'm not sure what can be done about that.
When the teacher told Pete we need to explain why biting is not allowed he told her we do, but he doesn't speak English yet LOL.

Guster I spotted with autumn for almost three weeks I was a nervous wreck, I'm happy your OB will see you tomorrow. Keeping you in my thoughts.
Autumn still has a fever. the dr said not to bring her unless it's over 102, but it's right there at 101.7 regardless of what I do. She's been in and out of a cool bath, Motrin every 6 hours, it just won't break... I'm just great full that she drank 8oz of milk. Any suggestions?

When A had the flu in December we couldn't get his fever down and the doctors at CHOC told us we can give both Motrin and Tylenol together to bring the fever down. It worked, and that's we'll do from now on when he has a high fever.
cagoldi I am going to call back and leave a message with her Dr. to see if this is something I can do. Thank you so much.
Did you do a whole dose on each? Or a half a dose?
They told us to do a full dose of each. You can't alternate dosing every 3 hours if you do this though, just every 6 or more. It worked well enough that A could eat better and drink more fluids than he had been. He had a fever for 4 days that was just climbing higher every morning before that.

Me too! I only made it 6 weeks with C. Hoping it goes better next time. I plan to not stress about it too much and hope for the best!

I put a little peppermint or eucalyptus oil in A's humidifier when he is congested. I wouldn't expect it to break a fever, but if Autumn is a snot factory a small amount on her feet might make her slightly more comfortable.
I like EO's fine, but miracle workers they are not.
Foxy, that was a bumpie on FB -- nothing was breaking her LO's fever, and it broke at the same time she decided to give peppermint oil a try. Not sure if it was coincidence or something else, but worst case scenario you end up in the same place you started from (with a fever), right?
Once again, you and I think alike. I sent a text to mskatiep yesterday because I hadn't seen her around lately.
Mara is doing better. She only woke up 3 times last night. I'm sure she'll be happy to play with all the kids today at daycare.
C's surgery is Wednesday, right? Is she scared at all?
Hey Ladies! @mx2 yes I'm good thanks for thinking of me! I've just been lurking vs posting here for a little bit, not even sure why lol. Good luck with surgery! You guys will do great!
tgrimes1980 sorry I didn't get the PM out today like I said, super busy at work
I haven't caught up yet, but wanted to post quickly to say that I drove 2 1/2 hours to the airport in the blizzard and am happily in AZ right now, where it is sunny and warm. I STILL don't know how we took off, and less than an hour late.
I just web chatted with DH and C, which was necessary because I was sitting behind a family with 4 kids on my flight, the youngest being not much older than C. He kept toddling over and staring up at me, probably wondering why I was smiling and then trying not to cry. It's crazy how quickly I miss my little guy. Anyhow I am so tired, so I'll probably head out in a few minutes to find a restaurant with a non-sketchy looking bar to eat at with a colossal glass of wine. Then I'm off to bed early for my big day of interviews tomorrow!!
