Hugs to all the mommies who are sick and have sick LO's. It sucks, and I have nothing encouraging to say besides hang in there, you are strong awesome specimens to be able to go through this!
Big hugs kerbear, the pain of losing someone that close can be so overwhelming. My Mom passed away a few years ago, and it always made me feel better when DH would want to talk about her, and share good stories. I think just remembering all the good times you had with them makes you feel grateful that you got to be with them at all. And honestly, sometimes there's nothing DH can do to comfort me, sometimes the grief is so overwhelming you just have to ride with it. Hoping you guys can get through this with some kind of comfort.
I ordered sea bands and ginger hard candies, those mf'ers better get here soon. This morning was incredibly rough for nausea, at least it has tapered off, but I am having to catch myself throughout the day as I feel myself starting to get sick. Looking forward to that 1-2 hour reprieve I usually get around 3:00.
Rough night here too. I was up several times throwing up and/or peeing. DS was also up a few times and could only be comforted by me. He is such a sweet boy, though. This morning I was in the bathroom throwing up when he woke up. He came in and rubbed my back and said "Mommy sickies?" Then he leaned down and patted my tummy and said, "Hi baby, be nice to mommy."
This is just the cutest damn thing I've ever heard.

danielle that is adorable! Hopefully it helped make the sick a little more bearable. fem I'm 7w5d and have started with hairbands and a belly band on my pants since I no longer want to zip or button them. I keep thinking I made it so much farther in my regular clothes the first time! No shame in breaking out the maternity clothes in first tri right? singingsea lots of hugs...
I have a cold and keep ending up with a raspy voice and cough today.. If I feel the same way tomorrow, I'm definitely staying home from work. On the plus side - I broke down and took a unisom before bed last night and I feel SO much better today. Still a little nauseated but I haven't felt like I am going to puke and I can actually function. I will be asking my doctor for a prescription for diclegis when I go in on Friday.
Hoping all the tired, pukey, bloated mamas feel better soon.
kerbear So sorry for what your family is going through. I'm sure you're helping without even realizing it. Sometimes all it takes is knowing you have a person in your corner.
@singingseas That must be such a hard feeling to work through. Hugs!
I'm normally the biggest wuss when it comes to spicy foods, but I just had buffalo chicken wraps that we made in the slow cooker last night and holy delicious... give me ALL the spicy foods!

*hugs* to all you ladies who had a crappy night, feel crappy and have sick kiddos. Hope everyone feels better soon!
singingsea I'm sorry you're going through this. I hope this week goes by quickly for you and you're able to keep your mind occupied. I hear the adult coloring books are great for that.
I ordered the sonoline b. When I googled it was the top result and it also came recommended by some of my friends. I bought it here: www.babydoppler.com/ However, you can search around for price comparisons. I picked babydoppler.com because the reviews talked about fast shipping and great customer service.

My little sister's 30th bday party was so much fun this weekend! I wasn't the only one not drinking so a) it wasn't so obvious that I wasn't, and b) it's always nice to have sober buddies in a crowd of drunk people.
I was half expecting to be fired/laid off when I got to work yesterday since I had to drop a day of work. But my boss asked when I plan on going on mat leave this summer, so that's comforting. Woohoo for being employed still!
Have any of you been baby wearing since your BFP? I have a Boba 4G (pretty much an Ergo) and I take a baby wearing yoga/barre class but I've been too paranoid. I'm gonna ask my OB next Friday.

I also baby wear- I hadn't heard any cautions against it? Sorry about all the nausea happening over here I'm only gaseous like I have a tommy gun in my pants. Thank goodness?
I ordered a doppler to use at home to try to make my brain chill out. I've been watching a ton of youtube videos trying to figure out how to work it so now it just needs to arrive. I know realistically I have a few weeks before I'm likely to get a heartbeat reliably, but hopefully in the long run it makes me feel less anxious.
I'm probably going to get one as well and am leaning towards the Sonoline B too.
A good friend of mine bought the Wusic off Amazon last week. She said it took her 5-10 minutes to find the heartbeat, but she was able to hear it (she was 15w1d that day).
I think they can be helpful tools to keep you less anxious as long as (general) you keep in mind that it can be tough to find the HB consistently at first.

Your avatar goes so well with this statement, lol.
H and I just met up at Chipotle for lunch. Hooray burrito bowl.
If the bloating keeps up like this I'm not going to be able to fit into my slacks when I travel to the corporate office next week. Normally I'd say fuck it and wear a skirt, but there's a half mile or so walk from the parking garage to the building and it's going to be like 80 there.
If only my grey yoga pants were just a little less fuzzy looking...

cbowl - Bought some Cape Cod chips to go with my soup for lunch today! Delicious. Single serving bag though, don't need to be adding chips to my lunch every day. Although...they are all-natural and preservative free - that makes them healthy, right?

serendipity731 I don't baby wear but I do lug around a clingy 28lb toddler.
I'm in the Velcro baby club too. I'm rocking him back to sleep as I type.
Confession time: I still nurse her to sleep most nights. I know I need to stop using it as a sleep crutch but it's the only thing that works! And I'm sleepy.

Thanks for the baby wearing input ladies!
flyakite I'm totally lost when it comes to back carrying! My instructor tried to show me how to do it last time I was there and it was a big fail. I feel like I'm gonna drop him in the transition! I'm gonna practice in front of a mirror next to my bed lol

I was doing the same until I weaned him a few months ago. Now we rock him to sleep every nap and night. If we try to put him down when he's just a little bit awake he flips out. Oy!
