Updated: Taking DS to the doctor today

He's had a fever since Friday. He came home from school and took a 3 hour nap that day.

He woke up at 9:30 this morning and was back to sleep at 11:00. He's still asleep now.

I'm starting to get worried.


Fevers has been between 100.5 and 102.6ish all weekend.


Update: He has strep.

I'm getting increasingly worried. It's not like him at all to sleep during the day. He's been alseep 2.5 hours now. His body obviously needs it but it's stressing me out.

My DD had something like this last month. The fever lasted 5 days (between 101-103.5) and she slept tons, she never sleeps. We didn't go to doctor, her fevers commonly last 5 or so days so normal for us. It ended after that- was just a virus. The sleep will help him, though! Hopefully it's the same with yours and just a viral infection that will pass in another day or two! I hope he feels better soon.

His fever is gone this morning. Yay! He's so happy to get another day off school.

The little shit never once complained his throat hurt until the nurse asked him. I feel awful he was sick for so long before I did anything.
