What type of appointment is it? My OB's office requires all pregnant women to attend this group appointment before they can schedule with a doctor. From what I understand, it is a small group of 5 or 6 pregnant couples, where an OB nurse explains what to expect in terms of appointments and how to stay healthy during pregnancy.

Will you ask any questions? Hopefully they will answer all the questions we have, but if not, they allow you to meet with the nurse after the group part to ask personal questions.

What type of appointment is it? To go over my health history.

Will you ask any questions? Yes. We'll more than likely discuss my blood pressure issues and preeclampsia from my previous pregnancy. Also during delivery I was having bleeding issues that sent the room into momentary panic. Lastly even with my epidural I felt every single stitch during my civil war style vag sew up so if they could apply a topical numbing agent next time that would be great. Yeeeah we're definitely going to have a chat.

What kind of appt is it? first appt! This is a different ob from last time, but the receptionist said a dating scan and exam.

Will you ask any questions? Yes. I use essential oils but only aromatically since BFP. I'm going to ask his thoughts on using specific ones topically. I'm hoping it'll be nbd since I use a reputable, high quality brand. I'd also like to discuss the fact that I'm pre-diabetic and have papers to give him from my PCP. She wanted to refer me to a dietitian but wanted to let him decide, so that.

It is. I generally like her and she was on her shit when it came to the bleeding. I should have spoke up I was in pain but I just figured that was how it was like for everybody who had a second degree tear.

singingsea I had a similar experience. My epidural has completely worn off by the time it came time to push so I had an episiotomy cut and sewn up without that. I believe she did inject me with something before she started stitching but it did squat. That was more painful than childbirth for sure.

Well I will tell you this has been the longest 2 weeks of my life. On the 18th I had an Ultrasound and baby was measuring more than 4 days behind but had a 113 HB. Since then I have had spotting twice. Both times just enough for the toilet paper to wipe away and no more. SO basically I have been scared and worried since then. I really need to go in on Thursday and see a grown baby with a great heart beat.

I really need that.

Yeah the stitches were definitely the worst part of the whole thing. I purposely let the epidural wear off toward the end because I heard it would help you with pushing. I don't think that was the best idea.

I will probably tear with this one. I make large babies. DS was 8lbs 12oz. Definitely going to ask for additional pain relief.

Ultrasound went well this morning! Hb is 171 and baby is measuring 3 days ahead (which is more consistent with my O day). And only one little bean in there ;-)

Type: Ultrasound with RE

Questions: When can I graduate from the RE? How many little nuggets are in there? In case of loss, how long should H continue to take Clomid? Will I be considered high risk (age and infertility) and can I work with a midwife? Last ultrasound, I was measuring 4 days ahead (although with IUI, I don't know how that's possible)... how is it measuring now? I have so many questions!

Confirm, check-in, blood draw, exam. Scheduled u/s for next week. 


Will you ask any questions? We talked mostly about doing a scheduled c-section versus vbac and the risk/reward. I've decided on a scheduled
c-section, I just don't want to take the risk even though it's an incredibly low percentage of anything going wrong. But as the doctor put it, when something does go wrong, it's detrimental. I also told him to tie my tubes while he's in there! 

Here's something interesting, even though I'm not high risk, he gave me the option to do a blood draw at 10 weeks instead of the sequential screen I had at 12 weeks last time. He said it's a more non invasive test and a better predictor. Bonus.. we'll find out the sex!
