I'm exhausted. I've been up late and getting up early working on cupcake and cookie orders. Tonight will be another marathon night. I can't wait until it's all over tomorrow.
I always get better sleep when we sleep in separate beds. We each move less and my dog definitely moves less.

DH's grandmother was admitted to the hospital last night, she has pulmonary embolism in both lungs and pneumonia. So my poor hubby is a mess, he's really close to her. We will visit her after we get off work today.
My goal for the day is to drink more water and eat less junk food. Tomorrow we're going to our nephews birthday party. I'm looking forward to spending time with family. Yesterday a few more people at work heard/guessed I was pregnant and they were really sweet and I'm feeling more and more excited.

It's snowing really hard and roads are bad but my MW is still open. DH wanted to drive me cause I get really nervous (spun out a couple years ago). About halfway here our windshield wipers stopped working!!!! Ahhhhhhhh no idea what we are gonna do now!
bighair12 Damn. I missed your post a couple days ago and just read it. This sucks. I know how much you were looking forward to graduation, and we were all so happy for you. It also has to be scary to think of all the other repercussions of the diagnosis that you mentioned (hysterectomy, premature delivery, bleeding etc.). Although it sounds like you're being very brave right now, I really wish you didn't have to be brave. I wish you didn't have to go through this at all. I'll be rooting for you, and will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.
birdhut glad you're feeling better. Maybe I'm selfish but I would go. Wash your hands, don't touch your face and don't breathe all over them and everyone should be fine. Also even though it was super bad for you, you are pregnant so your immune system isn't up to par...
packerfan4life I ate so many banana Nutella peanut butter crepes when I was pregnant with DS! Now I need some lol
broadwaymama I have a snoogle, I kind of have a love hate relationship with it. It helps it as other have said it's cumbersome. It's difficult to switch sides because your fighting with a pillow, blankets and a big belly. I can only imagine what it looks like when I try to rollover!

I'm currently on a bicoastal flight to attend a professional conference in San Diego. Like frecklesnbrains I wasn't expecting the snow this morning, and it added an hour to my already long drive to the airport. Then we sat on the runway for 90 minutes waiting for de-icing of the plane. Now I'm trying to get through this 5 hour flight. I'm over it. If my flight was refundable I would've canceled scrapped entire trip. I was already on the fence about it before all of this hassle. On the bright side I'll get 48 hours of sunshine and catch up with some friends when I get there.

I run a little side business out of my house. It always seems to come in waves. I'll have an order or so each weekend, and then usually one weekend a month there are several. This weekend I have to make 7 dozen cutout cookies and 15 dozen cupcakes- all due between this afternoon and tomorrow at 2pm.

woodengirl07, sorry about your news, wishing your DH's grandmother a speedy recovery.
I'm on day 6 of a cold which seems to be slowly making it's way from my head/throat to my head/sinuses, just taking its sweet old time.
We are supposed to get some warm weather coming through now until early mid next week. Looking forward to just sitting in the sunshine, I haven't had much energy to do anything else. My exercise and activity levels have gone from pretty good to zip in the last month.
My OB appt this morning went well. Has anyone tried melatonin to help with sleep? She suggested it.
She also told me she's not concerned about my weight, but to try to be a bit more careful since I gained 8 pounds in 4 weeks. I can't exercise due to my placenta, not that I necessarily would be, but it's a nice excuse not to, haha! I say that as I sit here and eat my DS' bag of goldfish and some salt and vinegar chips.
We're going out for pizza tonight, then have a pretty low-key weekend, which I'm excited about. DS had an epic meltdown this morning so I put him down for an early nap. Hoping he sleeps a long time (selfishly) and that he wakes up on the "right side of the crib"-ha!
bighair12 that really sucks. Hopefully it all goes well and when you and baby end up healthy, missing graduation will be totally worth it! T&p that everything goes well and big hugs because that really sucks.
I'm glad your appt went well txmommy14! I don't have personal experience but my step-sis (an RN) uses melatonin for my nephew when he has trouble sleeping. Long story short, he has significant special needs due to some medical issues and she likes that it calms him down significantly enough to allow him to sleep, and it's a natural sleep aid as opposed to "drugging" him.
Others may have better (and more medically based) info than I do, but I know that it was a game changer for her/him a few years back.
frecklesnbrains I am at a level one NICU and a level two trauma center. I feel very safe where I am. I just need to know when to start planning. I have a scan at 29-30 weeks to see if the accreta has progressed. Decisions will be made then for if we need to do an earlier delivery. Who knew there could be this much trouble with a damn placenta.

But, this time it will be planned and hopefully no issues! I have to be positive. If I am not then I think the people surrounding me couldn't pull it together.

You get it in the vitamin/supplement aisle. It's totally natural. It's what your body usually secretes when you need to sleep. It's pretty much what already puts you to sleep. Adding a little helped regulate my sleep cycles. I took the smallest dosage sold, and would start with that.

It sounds like you'll be in really good hands. I hope your H will be able to come to your appointments with you so you can both get some reassurance. It must have been scary for him to see you bleeding. But if the problem is known ahead of time (as it is now) then the chances of them being able to take care of you without having any significant bleeding are sooooo much better. I hope that's reassuring to you both. Best wishes!
We got a snow day today, which is nice. Thank goodness I decided yesterday to just get my grades done. I was going to wait until today, but I had some extra time on Wednesday so I just did it. I totally didn't think to bring home my grade book, even though I knew we might have a snow day, and I would have had to ask for an extension because they are due Sunday (it is posted online). Snow is such a pain, but it is beautiful outside and DH was able to come home early.
bighair12, I'm so sorry you are dealing with this scary condition. I'm sure your team is very capable and they will keep you and your little one safe.

That's good to hear!!! I read mixed reviews about its safety....but J should probably trust my OB rather than google and just take it... It just makes me nervous that other people's doctors have told them not to.

My coworker has Girl Scout cookies(and I have no will power despite thinking I did when I had a big healthy salad for lunch.) I'm on my 2nd thin mint. And I've gained 14lbs in 7 weeks. I didn't gain any weight till week 13, but since then it's been a different story.
broadwaymama I'm a big fan of my snoogle. It can be unwieldy, for sure. But you can sleep facing it and put the whole thing between your legs, or sleep facing away from it and put the bottom end between your legs (this all seems a little dirty suddenly). So it takes a little adjusting when you want to roll over in the middle of the night, but not too bad. On the few occasions when I've knocked it off the bed or rolled away from it entirely in the night, I've woken up with hip pain. So I know, at least for the way I sleep, it is improving my sleep position.
GOmamab15,if it makes you feel any better, I just finished off two pieces of chocolate cake. That must be equivalent to at least 15 thin mints, perhaps a whole sleeve.
