I didn't see that this has been started so here it is. How did everyone do this week?
I did not have a great week. I just started the whole 30 today. I have a terrible headache from not drinking any caffeine today. But this will get better. I need to go grocery shopping. I am going to start working out again after my little slump, but not today because my head hurts and my eyes are tired.
I had an ok week last week. I did T25 four times and went for a run with MH once. I despise running but MH has a fantasy that we will be one of those couples who run together so I'm trying.
Another sucky week of eating. I snacked way too much at work. We had three birthday parties on my floor and the goodies were too tempting. I need to work on self control.
trtlcrzy that's awesome you're doing the Whole 30! I want to try one before vacation in May but need to figure out a vegetarian version. Is caffeine not allowed?

trtlcrzy I started my Whole 30 today too. You can add canned coconut milk and cinnamon to your coffee. I drink it black during the 30 days, it takes some getting used to but I can do it now. We have a Whole 30 thread on parenting if you need ideas, recipes, support, etcetera.

I was baaad with eating. Then I only did 3 days of bbm but I did fit in an hour long Barr class with my SIL and since the bbm workouts are so short I counted the Barr class as two bbm's. Makes sense to me! I'll be better this week, no days off of working out eating better.
I did well in both departments (exercise and diet). I made it to the gym 4 times and I did 2 a day herbalife shakes. I ran out of my sample so I'm going to go ahead and order a months worth and see what kind of results I get. I'm back to work, so I don't know when I'll be able to squeeze in the gym again. I'm not setting the bar too high for myself this week. If I can make healthy dinners and snack well for at least 4 days, I'm calling that a success.

I did pretty good last week. I did 4 hard gym workouts that included cardio and my personal trainer, and the I did BBM as soon as I got home. I took Friday off, just because it was rainy and cloudy and called for putting the kids in jammies and watching movies all day! I did BBM on Saturday and Sunday and was back in the gym today! (I even did Satans Stairs Cherhorowitz and I thought of you!)
I've said this before but I"m liking BBM. I don't think on it's own it would be a hard enough workout for me, just because I'm use to doing more with more intensity, but I am loving supplementing it in after my workouts and on the weekend when I don't get to the gym. Every little bit helps, amirite?
Food was food. It was how we do it, really good during the week and then eat and drink our faced off on the weekends. ah well. I figure I'm kind of following the 80/20 rule right?
I went to the gym from Monday to Wednesday, but took the remainder of the week off since my mom was here. Eating wasn't terrible despite the anniversary celebration.
I've managed to get back into a better swing of things and hit the gym yesterday and meal planned. I looked at Whole30, but we don't eat much meat and I think limiting beans would be really hard for us. Also I've given up dairy once in my life and I missed it too much. Give me all the cheese and all the wine.
finnaroo no beans is the other part of the reason I don't think I can do a Whole 30, since I don't eat any meat. I eat beans multiple times a week.
I think I could handle no alcohol or dairy knowing it's only for 30 days, but I can't figure out where I could get protein easily besides eggs without tofu or beans.

With whole30, for eggsample (lol) you can have as much protein as you can hold in the palm of your hand. For me that looks like 4 eggs. That's a lot of protein ya know?
I'm up 2 lbs because I have been eating like there is no tomorrow. Especially SUGAR! AF is without a doubt gearing up for her grand entrance. DH wants to try a whole 30. He can be really disciplined with food. He can eat boiled chicken and veggies for a meal and be totally satisfied. So we may start after Valentine's Day since we already have reservations in Philly and staying overnight! I will just have to purge my house of all temptation (ie girlscout cookies)
I just checked out some websites and it seems like you can get really creative with the foods you are allowed to eat on Whole 30. I think that would help, to keep it from getting boring.
I managed to run 3 times in the morning this past week before H & E woke up, although on Sunday it was barely over a mile because H started crying. Exercise was pretty good and eating wasn't too terrible.
I looked into whole30. It's definitely not for me.

I did okay last week. Still at my same weight though. I still have the problem of snacking my face off when I drink even a glass or two of wine. So, this week I can only drink one night, probably Fri or Sat. At work it's easy to eat well, I have my oatmeal here for breakfast and my salad for lunch and a banana or Greek yogurt for a snack. When I get home it's another story. So add in the rule of no eating after dinner, just a cup of coffee/tea. If I do this I can stay under my goal calories.
As far as exercise I am still really behind on that. I have been walking the track here at work twice a day so that's good. Other than that, nothing. I really need to figure something out.
Oh and Friday I'm sure I'll go out to this awesome Greek place down the street with my work friends and will eat mass amounts of lamb so we can say Friday will be a wash.

I've been looking into Whole30 and debating if I want to do it or not. The main concern for me is the planning that's involved and I know DH wouldn't want to eat the stuff I'd make for dinner so we would have separate dinners.
