We've still got plenty of room in our infant seat. We've used the britax boulevard for our older two. My mom has a Graco of some sort in her car and the straps are always twisted. We needed one more seat and tried a diono thinking we might do three across. DD2 is forward facing in it and it is hard for me to do the straps. She doesn't like it as much. I definitely prefer our britax seats. They're just bulky.

This is basically what I think regarding britax vs diono, but everyone seems to love their dionos so I feel like I'm just doing something wrong with the straps. Are you doing 3 across? That was our plan if we have a third, but DH has also talked about putting DD1 in the third row (she'd be 4 by the time we had a third) and the younger 2 side by side in the second row. We might still need dionos to do the 2 side by side though.
Finally switched H to our new Evenflo Triumph. I wish we would have splurged and got another Britax. I just love their straps, and they seem more comfortable for my kids.

Sorry I am almost never on anymore. Sad. Right now we have DD1 in the third row. We currently have an Acadia with captains chairs in the middle, so we don't have to do three across. I had toyed with down sizing my vehicle because I went from driving a small older model Rav to the beast of an Acadia. But I'm more used to it now. However we still have DD1 harnessed (she's almost 6), and it's a pain in the butt to get her buckled. When I get the nerve to switch her to the seatbelt it won't be that bad.
All that said, I like our britax way more than the diono.
Bump ttma covertible seats that go to 100lbs. After reading this thread i am embarrassed to say , my little chunk is still in a bucket. I have such a hard time making up my mind. We have graco but i dont care for the 4ever, i dont like those red plastic wings at top. Pros and cons of what you are using priced under $250 please.

With the bru trade in event (which might be going on now) we got a nextfit for $225. It goes up to 65 lbs so doesn't cover the booster stage but those are pretty cheap. We like it because the stars are easy to tighten and adjust. It is fairly wide side to side

Have you tried it? We have that one and Graco Size4Me and they are IMPOSSIBLE to get tight enough. Also on the Nextfit I could not get it tightened enough using the anchors. It's like defective or something. Both of them. My H can get the graco tightened enough but I cannot.

Hmm that is weird. We having been using it for months with no issues.

We went with the Graco Size4Me 65. We have it in both our cars, and each set of parents has one too in case they are watching LO. I really like it - especially for the price. I decided not to do one of the seats that also turns into a booster because I've heard that you start to push the expiration date of the seat by the time they are in the booster stage. Plus, a booster on it's own is fairly inexpensive to transition to after the convertible.

We have the Diono Radian RXT- it goes up to 80lbs forward facing and 120lbs as a booster seat. We also have the Britax Marathon but it only goes up to 65lbs.
I personally prefer the Britax seats (they are what we have in my car) because I think they're easier to tighten. The Dionos are great seats though and I know a lot of people love them. I just have a harder time tightening the straps but maybe I'm just used to the Britax seats. FWIW DD1 seems to prefer the Diono. It's a narrower seat so it takes up quite a bit less space if you have a passenger sitting next to it. The Diono is more expensive but I believe we were able to get ours for ~$240 during a sale.
Eta: I just double checked and we got the dionos for $201
Also not booster seats, but we have the Chicco Nextfit in H's car and Maxi Cosi Pria in mine. The nextfit is easier to install, but I have a harder time tightening the straps (it's not an issue for H though). I love the Pria...no problem at all to tighten the straps. We got it on Prime day when it was 199, but amazon has it for $250 usually.

We have one that is plus a booster and I've never felt like it fits as good as our other convertibles. I prefer convertibles and then later a harnessed booster that converts to a regular booster.
Just wanted to report back about car seats in case anyone is still looking. We got a Diono Radian R100 for Abigail. We've been using it for about 2 months now and I like it. I haven't had any issues tightening it and kind of like the ratchet system it has for tightening. We went with the Diono because it was the only one that would fit 3 across in our Mazda with the other 2 car seats in the same row.
I have 2 Britax Marathons for the twins and I love them. I find them super easy to use and comfy for the kids. We probably would have gotten another one of those if it would have fit. That being said, we are happy with the Diono, and the Diono will probably last longer (higher weight limits, etc).
