DD just turned two last month...so she doesn't really get it get it yet..she knows what I'm saying but she doesn't comprehend. I told her last time I was pregnant and lost the baby so I'm holding off this time. I slipped this morning though when she wanted my banana I was bringing to work and I told her mommy had to feed that to the baby.
She was a 34wker. She had two major intestinal surgeries before her due date and spent 95% of her first 2 months in the NICU and PICU. She's doing so great now though but it makes me nervous that any future babies may have a similar defect.
She's so smart even though she doesn't articulate herself well yet she knows everything we say.. She's such a big helper and wants to do everything on her own. I can't wait to see her be a big sister..she loves her babies..

I didn't realize I never said anything on here, but then again it was started before I even got my BFP so that makes sense
DS1 just turned 5 on Valentine's Day, and he is a super sweet, sensitive, and charming kid. He really does have a heart of gold - he's a bit of a rule follower and a people pleaser. He amazes me with how quickly he learns things and I'm already fighting back tears thinking about him starting kindergarten later this year! He's also an AMAZING big brother. He has been from day one. So helpful, so sweet and so PATIENT.
DS2 is my little firecracker. He is also a super sweet (and cuddly) kid, but he is feisty and loves to get into everything, ESPECIALLY if you tell him not to. He absolutely adores his big brother and follows him everywhere he goes. He is such a funny little guy too, he always keeps us laughing with the things he does and says. He loves to sing songs (even if he doesn't know the words).

DS is 3.5, and will turn 4 on July 25th. He is very affectionate and funny but also very, very stubborn. He is also a chatterbox like his daddy. His favorite thing to do is watch toy videos on YouTube. He loves trains and cars, and anything with wheels, really. He'll go around making train noises wherever he goes. I think he'll make a great big brother; he is so good with my nephew, who is 11 months old. DS talks to him, gives him hugs and kisses. It melts my heart.
DD is going to be 2 next month. She likes to be totally in charge! She orchestrates all our playing and everything. She loves learning how to express new things and talks up a storm even just to herself in the car. She gets when things are funny and loves when we're all silly. I think she's really bright and observant, but I may be biased. Shes very very very shy with new people and other kids her age, and even lots of people she's seen multiple times before. I have social anxiety and I just hope shes not gonna be that way. For her sake. She's obsessed with babies right now which I hope sticks around! We had some sleep struggles the first year. And typical toddler behavior this past year. Our main struggles with her come from her purposefully holding in her poops. She was really constipated a little after starting solids and ever since she holds them in. We've seen her pedi and a pedi GI. Weve tried everything dietwise, and now she's on a few different meds which I just hate having to give her. And she still does it. We will be out and she will start screaming about poop and trying to cross her legs. It's so stressful. I hate not knowing when it's gonna stop. Like when will she be OK pooping?!?!

DD (Harper) will be two tomorrow. She's smart, sassy, so funny, and has been my unicorn child since she was born. She LOVES school. It was really hard for me to enroll her (my husband stayed home with her until she was 22 months because I'm such a control freak), but I'm so glad I did. Her language has just exploded because of school. She's fiercely independent and hasn't stopped moving since she started walking (too early I might add). 100% a daddy's girl and her obsession with babies gives me hope that she's going to be a really, really good big sister.
DS turned 2 in October, so he's coming up on 2.5 now. He's VERY smart, you can't get anything past him. Like, he surprises me with the stuff he comes up with. The other day I was brushing my teeth and he was playing around in the bathroom. He pointed to a pic of me and my family in Lake Tahoe, named off all the people in it, and then said "How come I not in dis picture ma?" When other people (especially those who have or work with toddlers) hear him talk and conversate, they're surprised at his age. He enjoys trucks, tractors, trains, and airplanes; and bows and arrows and walking in the woods. His daycare teachers describe him as "zesty" and "spirited", which sometimes I think is code for "headstrong" and "strong willed" because that's certainly what we see at home. He's very sensitive to other people's feelings, but is still trying to grasp the idea that sometimes HE causes other people's feelings. He's tallish for his age and a rock solid boy. Regarding eating, there's only a few things the kid WON'T eat-Mac and cheese, grilled cheese and Avacado are about the only things that come to mind.
DD will be 4 in July (hard to believe). She is very strong-willed and independent, but also has many sweet moments. She started gymnastics so that's been a great way to get rid of her extra energy this winter.
Most of my friends have had babies recently and she just loves them. DD wants to hold them and talk to them all the time. She also pretends that she's a mommy multiple times each day. I think she'll be extremely excited when we tell her there's a baby in mommy's belly. Hopefully she'll be a great big sister!

DD will be 3 in July. She is very spunky and stubborn. She loves Frozen and Superman. One day she'll be wearing a Frozen dress and the next a Superman cape. She loves to paint, color, cook and read books. Elmo is her favorite show.
My daughter is 3.5 and is my complete and utter mini-me. She will talk our ears off and is so inquisitive about....everything. She started pre-school this year and I love how much she enjoys school.
My son is 19 months and the complete opposite of his sister. He's my wild man, super active, super mischievous. He's hitting the toddler stage hard right now with the tantrums over ridiculous things (like, I wanted my milk in BLUE cup and you ruined my life by giving it to me in the green one)...but he also recently started saying "luh you uuu" so it all evens out.

DS1 will be 4 next month. He's SUPER friendly and loves everyone. He literally calls all other kids "friends". He loves trains, reading, his co-op preschool class, playing outside, and for some strange reason, he's obsessed with roosters!
DS2 is 18 months and a wild child! He's also super sweet and friendly, but he's much clingier than DS1 ever was. He's definitely my more physically active child. I never had to babyproof with my oldest, but this one will get into everything and climb everything! He really likes to dance and loves Puffin Rock!
sanibel21 that does sound so difficult about your daughter's poop troubles. Sorry you have to deal with that. I hope things will improve soon and that the medications will help.
My DD will be 2 next month. She is a bundle of energy - she woke up at 4 am this morning ready to party. She's starting to understand everything, but is a bit slow to talk (she's doing two languages at once so I don't blame her!) Her favorite hobbies are hiking and slides, and skyping her grandparents and cousins.
hikingmama222, lavinia, we are also struggling with some picky eating at our house - we found a very good resource here. She's been a 10 - 15th percentile baby since birth so I know what you mean about stressing when she doesn't eat - it's hard to let go and trust her!
What is your DD's second language? I'm doing Spanish with DS and he's also 2 and slower to talk.
I have a DS who is turning one on 2/22! He is a total joy, and is developing such a spunky personality. He loves our black lab, Mickey Mouse, playing with his play kitchen, and feeding himself. It will definitely be interesting having 2u2... anyone been there before that can tell me it will be ok?!?!
You will make it! Mine are 15 months apart and the first 6 months is really hard but now that DS2 can crawl around and play at 8 months it's so much fun to watch them together.
not sure if there is any correlation, but did you either of you do BLW? We did it with DD and she eats pretty much anything we put in front of her. I'm chalking that up to the fact that she was introduced to so many solid foods at such a young age, but I could be totally wrong...
We didn't jcrewgirl. Which I now regret. She was so so with purees, but as soon as we moved to anything with chunks, she refused to eat it.
I plan on doing BLW with this next one.
Just to make you feel a little better about not doing BLW I did it with both my sons. DS1 is super picky, hates eating and DS2 will eat everything. So much of it is personality.
DS is 2.5, he is amazingly curious, pretty easy-going, and is completely obsessed with trains.
DD is 9 months. She is kind of a lot to handle. She's be exceptionally fussy her whole life, she's recently mobile so I'm constantly chasing her, it'll be interesting to add another one so soon.

French - and according to her daycare her French vocabulary has been exploding lately, but I'm not getting it - it's hard to understand baby French!

I am fortunate to be the mother of 2 amazing little boys. DS1 2 and DS2 will be 1 in May. DS1 has a bright personality, loves to laugh and play. He absolutely adores his grandpa, everything my dad does he does. We have a 7 year old pit mix that he constantly shares his snacks with, so he's pretty much secured a friend for life.
DS2 is all smiles! He recently learned to walk so now we're running around after him. He's got little vampire fangs..lol. He loves his Big brother and tries to imitate everything. He's another dog lover too!
Both a mama's boys and are often referred to as my bodyguards.

imlookingatmykeys IDK why but I get so excited when other people have kids the same age apart as mine (currently DS1 is 2, DS2 is 1 in June and this one). Like, look, that person is just as crazy as I am and they're still surviving!

OMG..me too! My DH sometimes just say we need to find someone else in the same boat, just to let us know it'll be okay.
