So obviously I'm new to my area and I don't know anything about it yet. I'm trying to find a preschool and I found one close to us. We visited today and it was really nice.like way nicer than I was expecting. Before this gets too long I'll outline the choices. 1). Kids kapers, a relaxed program basically where the kids come and play. They are 2.5-4 and you sign up for whatever days you want to bring them. Less curriculum but still socialization and things like arts and crafts and storytime, and snack. I could sign him up for this two days a week in the morning and also a tumbling class at the same place one day a week. There could be different kids since there is no set schedule. 2). 3 yr old room. They have one spot in the afternoon session 12:30-3:00. Regular curriculum, normal preschool. M-w-f. Downside is P still naps from 1-3. Do I sign him up and he just skips naps and goes to bed earlier? I'm not quite ready for that but would the benefits outweigh the no naps. 3). Look for other preschools. But apparently there are way too few for the amount of kids in the area. I already called a couple and they are full. I found one but it is waaay to cheap which makes me question it. Hs boss said that preschools and day area were a big problem around here. Am I overthinking this? What would you do?

If you don't want to mess with his nap, I'd do option number 1. I think it would give him some great socialization (and give you a break) and still keep him to the schedule it sounds like you want. Good luck!
ETA: I don't think you could go wrong with either. If you like the set schedule/set group of kids, I'd give that a shot. He might be extra cranky/tired for awhile but he'll adjust. Who knows how long he'd keep his afternoon nap anyway. But again, both are good options.
Thanks guys. That's what I was leaning towards. He doesn't really need the curriculum because he is already doing well just needs socialization and time away from me. ? he is pretty friendly and will play with anyone so he will make friends with anyone that is there. It's only for a couple of months. For next year they only have spots in the afternoon but I'm going to sign him up for that. He will be fine without naps by then probably. I know I'm overthinking it. He's 3 he will be fine. The tumbling class is a bonus that wouldn't happen if he went to school.
