katka512, I wasn't induced for my first 2 pregnancies but I needed pitocin to get things moving bc I quit progressing. Both took 12 hours from start to finish. Being that far along will help bc your body is already getting primed for labor.
I needed pitocin during labor with DD because I wasn't progressing too. My labor was still over 30 hours. But on Thursday I was 2 cm and 60% effaced, so I'm hoping that since there's progress already it won't be too long. Your experiences give me hope!
If you're already dilated it will likely be a smooth process. Once I get pitocin my body goes from a 4 to a 10 in 30 minutes. It usually just needs a nudge.
I didn't need pitocin last time though. My body didn't kick start into active labor until I was 6cm and got my membranes stripped. Labor only lasted 5 hours with the actual unbearable pain being the last 20 minutes.

Sorry for the post and run. It's been a couple crazy days. We decided to get serious about unpacking!
1. How old are your LO(s) / how far along are you? DD will be 2 on March 8. DS is 6 months.
2. How is your M14 toddler doing with the changes (pregnancy, new baby)? Finally I kids are playing together. She is very loving and helpful with DS. She's settling into her role as big sister really well.
3. What is something AW worthy to share about your kid(s). DS is eating so well, sitting, and I'm scared to jinx it but sleeping through the night with one quick wake to feed. DD is mimicking everything we say and loves to do actions to songs.
4. What are you currently struggling with/working on? We are finally seeing the light at the end of the sleep training tunnel. It was hard but it's paying off with me getting more sleep and DS now getting set on 3 naps a day.
5. How is birthday party planning for your M14 toddler coming along? I've gotten together some print outs for her Home (Boov) themed party. I still need to pick up streamers and balloons. I'm so excited to have the party in our new house. My Dad and sister are flying in for it so that's a very welcome bonus!
6. Questions/advice? Or anything you want to talk about? I remember a while ago everyone was talking about their kitchens for their LO. Now they the kids have had some time to play - do you like yours? Recommend your play kitchen!

Your labor will not be long since you are already at a 2 and 60%. Plus this is your second pregnancy. How many weeks are you right now? Keep us posted!
newmomma8, my boobs never feel like they fill up completely until L's first wake up in the middle of the night. He is gaining weight like a champ right now so he is getting plenty even though I don't fill full all day long.
This is me too. And they didn't feel full at night until he started sleeping 6+ hr stretches. He still seems to swallow as much and is gaining well so I take it as a good thing - no sore swollen boobs!
RandomName we got DD1 this toy kitchen for Christmas. She loves it! It keeps her entertained for a long time. We got it at toys r us for cheaper than what Amazon has it listed for.

fish8412 were doing DDs party over lunch time. We're saying 11 until 1 (when the kids go to sleep). Then we'll hang out with family for a bit in the afternoon. If you're doing supper maybe have it start a bit before the time they eat 4-6/7?
. 4. Sleep. Always sleep. DD1 is mainly good, except when she has a cold, which lately is all the time. And DD2 sucks either way. I'm almost ptsd about going to bed because it seems pointless.
All the sleep sympathy. DS was AWFUL. I was like to get 45 mins-1:30 stretches and that was with him in my arms. Just awful. Just before 6 months I'd had enough and was tried of being tired and grumpy so we sleep trained.

RandomName YAY for sleep! I'm glad to hear things are going better
I found a kitchen very similar to this at Target awhile back so I got it. It's smaller than I thought (ours doesn't have the fridge part but it's identical otherwise) but she loves playing with it and will spend a lot of time.
