nitecheese, it's so creepy the way ex's always seem to have some intuition. I have a crazy string of stories:
Almost immediately after posting a "in a relationship" (with DH) status on FB I got an email from an old college friend (who I'm FB friends with but don't really keep in touch with) who confessed that he had always been in love with me but never had the guts to let me know. This was nearly 15 years after we graduated from college.
After I got engaged an ex from about 10 years ago emailed me to ask "how I was". He could not have known because we are not in touch and have no mutual friends anymore.
A second ex (also from 10+ years ago) emailed me out of the blue to say he heard I was pregnant from a friend of a friend and wanted to send his best wishes.
My response to all of these was to be honest. I replied to them, told them how happy I am with my life, and wished them the best. I haven't hear from any of the three of them again.
nitecheese - exes are the worst. I had a dream about mine and that was enough to rattle me for 2 days. It's because we didn't have a terrible break-up just grew apart so there is no bad blood there. We dated for 8 years (hs and college) so he's part of almost all of my memories. Deleting is the right answer
pbandj714 - I have not watched Rattled but want to start. I love shows like that! Thanks for reminding me about it. For some reason I thought it didn't start yet. I always see the commercials when I binge on Say Yes to the Dress....still obsessed even after marriage and a second kid on the way

Here's a random - the current love tit phrase is "so-and-so would have a drink for you" and it makes me sad because NONE of us can have a drink for any of the rest of us right now. And I really want all of you to be able to have a drink for me, really, I do.

I'm always awaiting the ex to pop up somewhere. He was such a social butterfly I find it odd that he does not seem to be on FB (but he may have blocked me). He did try contacting me a couple of times saying that I stole stuff from him and so on. Ummm no I didn't he went to jail and I took all my stuff out of his apartment and after almost 2 years of being a girlfriend of an inmate I moved on with my life! I wouldn't be surprised if he was back in jail! Then the boyfriend I had briefly after that and before DH found out I had a knot wedding page and went on it and wrote horrible things about me. Yeah I dated some real winners! I wish I met DH in high school!
The baby is kicking up a storm right now. I only started feeling him last week and now it's like full on kicks no longer just flutters.
Yay for baby kicks! I'm getting the same thing now and I'm loving it. I didn't feel DD a lot (anterior placenta) so it's been such a pleasant surprise. I may take that back in a few months when I start seeing arms and legs poking out
I met some friends for lunch and within a couple hours I was so hungry again.
I went to Kohl's and got a few more baby outfits. I mentioned it in the anatomy scan thread, but I just don't know how to dress this little guy in the summer. I know I'll need a lot of onesies, but I'm always cold in our house and assume he will be too. So maybe those Carters sets with a onesie and pants? I'm pretty sure I'm overthinking this.
Kevinmac DS lived in onesies in the summer (May baby). Our house always seems hot so he seemed comfortable. I did have some pants, as well as sleep n plays, and rompers.
Kevinmac I live in a warm climate, but our house is pretty cold with the AC. When DS was a baby, I dressed him a lot in cotton long sleeved sleepers during the day if we weren't going out anywhere. A onesie with pants would also work well if you're concerned about him being cold in the house.
Kevinmac - I was going to suggest onsie and pants mainly because of air conditioning. Outside in warm weather I would say a short outfit or onsie is good but I know we keep our air pretty cold. Maybe even long sleeve or sleeper in the house. DD was a September baby so it was still warm and we used to put her to sleep in a onsie then swaddle. I felt like swaddling with a sleeper on (even a light cotton one) was too much for that temp.

Baby is pissed it got its pictures taken today!! I am getting kicked super hard and I feel like o can't catch my breath!!! Jeeze kid just wanted to see your sweet little face!
Kevinmac, DS was a June baby and pretty much lived in a onesie and baby leg warmers all summer. They made diaper changes so freakin easy too because I didn't have to deal with pants. We used sleep sacks at night so I never worried about him being too cold.
DS felt the baby kick tonight for the first time and he was SO excited! But then he told us that kicking isn't nice so we decided that the baby gave him a high-five instead! lol

This is adorable.
Now please tell my baby to stop high fiving my bladder.
I'm also wondering about clothes in the summer-it will be SO hot having a newborn in the summer in Texas! However, we keep our house pretty cool, so I'll probably have some pants to go with onesies. I was mainly trying to decide when buying a K'tan carrier whether to buy the regular one or the "breeze"...
So after me impatiently calling, my son's pediatrician finally called to talk to us tonight about DS' lab results. They don't have everything back, but they have some of it back. He's still not walking and putting weight his leg, so they're still calling it toxic synovitis (crazy-I had never heard of this before Saturday). Anyways, his blood work came back as not serious for anything super concerning. I am embarrassed to admit that I had pysched myself into thinking maybe he had leukemia or some bone disease-so knowing his white blood cell counts were normal was extremely reassuring. His "metabolic panel" was pretty abnormal, but she said she thought that could be due to dehydration or his diet. Anyways, even though we still don't know what the heck is going on, I feel less scared now. Thank goodness for modern medicine and for tests that can you give you answers (or tell you what it isn't when you're worried about something scary!)
