jennybeans are you close to 9 months with a goal of stopping BF and switching to whole milk at 1? Is your lo eating solids 3x per day? I would just pump what you can, use your stash, and wait. My lo hit a growth spurt at 8 months and wanted more and more solids but after a week he slowed down. If it's a long term increase, you may have to supplement or use your stash.
Is there a 8 or 9 month growth spurt? Daycare asked this morning if I could send more milk in each bottle since DS is getting angry and throwing his bottles when he is done... (I thought this was hilarious) I'm already sending 4 - 3.5 oz bottles and he is eating roughly every 2-2.5 hours and also getting a small breakfast of oatmeal and fruit and pureed veggies for lunch. I can maybe send another 1/4 to 1/2 oz per bottle but that's as much as I pump in a day!!
I can't remember with my other two, but I think there might be. My little guy just turned 9 months and I noticed that all of the sudden his 12 month PJs barely zip over his legs, 12 month pants are too short, and he is wanting to eat more again just the last few days. I've had to nurse him an extra time several days over the past few weeks because he was hungry, and he is also wanting more solid food.
I had to go to the post office today. The boys fell asleep on the way over. I'm now in car nap jail because I'm not waking either of them. No way, not happening!
Ugh, the car jail is the one reason I'm prolonging the transition to the convertible car seat as long as possible. DS loves to nap in the car.
I went to the park today to go to my mom meetup group.. it was great because ds was able to get some outside time, a good chunk of awake time and seemed to really enjoy seeing other babies and moms. but now i'm exhausted.. i'm not used to like.. doing stuff.
I swear my pants fit when I packed last week, but now after lunch.... Not so much. I just draped my pashmina over my lap and unbuttoned my pants. Sigh. It begins.

Ugh here comes the awkward phase of looking bloated and fat and not pregnant. Hated that phase.
From my own experience, it's super intimidating joining in with an established group so often you end up trying to be overly energetic and later overly defensive when people are understandably skeptical of you. Unfortunately, most don't know to respectably step in with introductions and to ease into conversation so they don't otherwise come off as a troll or catfish :/
I actually think that most folks do step in and handle it appropriately. Including the majority of us on this board. We're pretty welcoming and easy going. We don't do the "who are you" when someone adds something to the conversation. We might redirect or say, you need to intro but this board is really respectful. So when she comes up in here guns blazing, not only being disrespectful, but then giving us a "sorrynotsorry" apology and then continuing to create threads for her random thoughts and trying to jump into a conversation and community while simultaneously stating that she doesn't want or need Internet friends. We're just here to be her own personal Google apparently. I personally am not going to be interacting with her. Since she seems to think that we will all just chat about strollers and doctor Phil and tattoos while continuing to be disrespectful.
What did I miss? I haven't been on much, been really busy at work.
My best friend has a biology degree but is now a chiropractor. She has chosen not to vaccinate her children and I've spent years avoiding talking to her about it at all. I just don't understand and I don't want to lose the friendship. Fortunately, she also lives across the country so we never see her kids except through Facebook.
Funny because I posted something pro-vaccine and a friend commented on how she is in med school and has done rigorous studies on how harmful vaccines are. She is going to school to be a chiropractor. Must be something they are teaching at those schools. It took all I had to not respond like for like about my advanced degree from a prestigious university.
I see A LOT of anti-vax stuff from chiropractors. It's science people! Vaccines are not theory. They are proven to be safe and effective and not cause autism.
I've lost several friends because I stand up to them on not vaxing their kids. Im sad I lost friends. But I'm more sad for the kids.

DH is a personal trainer at a chiropractic office. One of the doctors irritates me because she swears she can cure everything from eczema to autism through chiropractic.
I may have been taking pics on my phone with a blue filter on for the past few days. I attributed it to "bad light". Somehow it didn't occur to me that DD likes to press the screen when I show her pictures of herself.

I jokingly asked my chiro about a magic cure for morning sickness when I was pregnant with Colby. He laughed and said he can't fix everything. I'm starting to think I have a unicorn of a chiro that is still normal.
Yup she told me she could cure that for me too. You better hold onto him.
Ok, I just read the nap thread. kittyriot high five!
I have so much more to catch up on!
Thank you, all I wanted to do was point out, directly why our ladies were pissed. If you claim to be a former reg/sometime lurker you damn well know the r-word is going to go down super badly. Sooooo seriously, back it up for a second, own it and get over it. I remember when I finally started jumping in on the place that should not be named, some of the mean girls jumped all over me about MH being nervous about the arrival of a LO and what that would do to our relationship. Told me I should tell my legit scared hubby to suck it up and get over himself. It was HARSH. But seriously, I reflected on what they had to say, thought about it and it provoked some good conversations for the two of us. As far as I'm concerned, if you're not a personality that can do that, you don't belong on online boards like this one, cause your bum is going to get toooooo hurt.
AF is about to make her appearance and my DH usually Takes cover. Today he came home from work and put this jar on the table with a spoon and walked away! This is true love.

I never did see the r-word, but I saw the references to it. That's a line everyone knows not to cross. I totally agree with you, and I love that you used the word "bum" kittyriot!

Does she also cure cancer? Some people think so highly of themselves.

I'm glad she at least edited that. But I was super annoyed with her "I'm sorry that you were offended. lol" responses.

This looks awesome! I haven't seen it. Where did he buy it?

He went shopping in the States. I think it was at Mejiers. It's really yummy if you like chocolate & peanut butter.

Please tell me how horribly disgusting this tastes. It's not fit for human consumption right?
