Cocomama , pink eye is the worst, especially if you have to give DS eye drops. I would rather wear maternity lingerie in the street than give a kid eye drops.
My optometrist taught me a better way to give myself eye drops, and I think it could work well for young kids too. Apparently you can just have them close their eye, drop the drops into the interior corner (near the bridge of the nose) and then have them open their eye and the liquid runs right in. My husband has never in his life been able to put drops in his own eyes tried this and it works great for him.
We do this with DD. I just blow in her face a little when I'm done to get her to open her eyes. Works like a charm!

Like I said before, I've already busted out the maxi skirts. It backfired after our walk yesterday, though. Now my thighs are sore from rubbing together. This is the only reason I envy those with legit thigh gap.
I generally don't wear dresses or skirts, but I see myself finally investing in some maxi dresses for this summer. Sounds like a much better idea than pants at 7-8+ months.
I just bought a few lularoe maxi skirts that can double as dresses. So soft, comfy and stretchy. I have a few to wear now and bought a size up for summer when my belly is huge (hoping it takes that long for it to get huge haha).
*eye roll* Apparently my health insurance doesn't cover the blood test my doctor ordered to confirm my pregnancy. Granted, I pushed and nagged to get that test. And it's only going to be $14.93 in the end, but damn. Way to go Aetna. Now I gotta jump through 100 hoops to get their online bill pay set up so I can pay them their money.
They also won't cover the genetic screening. But I figured they wouldn't.

I can't stand wearing shorts or skirts/dresses because I hate feeling my legs rub together. I'm clearly going to have to get over it this summer, should be interesting.

Some of the genetic testing companies will write off the majority of the cost of the test for you. I spoke to natera about the panorama test and they said even if out of network and not covered at all, they would only charge me $200. Certainly not cheap, but if you really wanted to do it a bit more reasonable.

Interesting. I'm waiting for my OB's office to call me back, but if it turns out to be some absurdly high cost I might just try this. I don't mind $200 for it. I'm just hoping it isn't some crazy amount like $1k. Although, if I'm reading their pamphlet right, it's two blood tests and one ultrasound, so maybe it won't be that bad.

And thekatezombie , I've heard there is this stick (like a deodorant stick) that can be rubbed on the inner thigh to help with chafing. I will def be looking into that!

I use a stick like this for running. It's called body glide, it comes in a blue deodorant-looking thing, and you can find it in any sports store!

I'm not sure if we have a sports store in town, but I'm going to find this.
I have Kaiser and for me to do the NT scan it'll be $400 OOP. DH doesn't want to do because it's not covered but I want to just to know ahead of time if there's anything wrong with the baby.
I used to never wear skirts because of the thigh rubbing. Then I found out that they make lady boxer briefs. Hanes makes them. Now I wear them almost all the time. They are also the most comfortable undies I've ever worn! I recommend them!!!!!

This is really good to know, thanks for the info, ladies.
thekatezombie, you can also order Body Glide from Amazon.
I only have a couple pairs of pants that aren't uncomfortably tight at this point, but it is way too cold here in Boston to be wearing just dresses/skirts. I've been rocking leggings on my commute and then ditching them once I get to work. I can't wait for warmer weather - when I was PG with DD, I lived in dresses all summer (she was born in August). They are so easy and comfy. For anyone concerned about thighs rubbing together, I got a pair of maternity spandex shorts and wore them almost every day under my dresses. No thigh rub, belly support, and they smooth lumps, bumps, and panty lines. Seriously recommend.

Pink eye is the fn worst
This is the only way I've ever done eye drops with DS. That or have my face scratched off

I plan on living in sun dresses/skirts this summer. I'll probably buy a couple pairs of maternity shorts so I can chase DS around at the park.
