I fell down the stairs carrying DD this morning. We are both fine, I'm just going to be bruised and swollen. DS has had normal activity so I assume he is ok too.
Then I get to work and lock everything in my car. I had to wait until someone else came to let me in the building so I could find a phone. Thankfully a co worker is a volunteer fireman and was able to get it unlocked.
I should have just stayed home after I fell. I'm afraid to leave my desk.
I was 10 minutes late this morning because I stopped for coffee. Totally worth it.
+1. I even showed up to work to a few missed calls on my office phone (THAT never happens) and a note from my boss. Whoops. Do not curr. Coffee was worth it.

H said we will make my day all better by going out for mexican tonight. Which is pretty dang awesome and almost always guaranteed to end the day on an awesome note...BUT THAT'S SO FAR AWAY.
I've tried to reschedule an appointment 3 times. The doctor I want to get into, doesn't have an openings until July 6. So I just kept my appointment for Tues morning.

A margarita would be so awesome. Why do I crave these when pregnant??? It was the same last pregnancy but after having DD I could care less about them!

Wtf. No. Was it brought here by someone traveling or no?
Yup. Boooooo.
Just read about it. That's better though. The mosquitoes that carry it aren't established in Iowa yet. I'm hoping I'll make it until they make their way up here. Due June 22 but will probably be induced a week early.

Get a virgin one when you go out to eat!
You know what I just might do that! I'll pretend it's full of yummy tequila.
So the Administrator at my old building put in her notice and the CEO reached out to see if I wanted to come back. I said no. But then he asked if I would consider doing interim work with a very flexible schedule for 8-10 weeks while they look for a permanent replacement. I said I would think about it over the weekend. I have so many feels. I'm driving myself nuts.

lucylou either make a pro/con list or flip a coin. If you have a strong reaction to the result of the coin flip, there's your answer. Go with your gut.
gahorseygal sorry you had a rough morning, hope there are no lingering problems from the fall

I had Monday off and it has thrown off my internal calendar all week.
Also M came down with a nasty cough and a fever on Monday and he is STILL freaking sick and coughing all night. Usually he goes back to sleep on his own but we were up once around 11 and then I let him CIO around 1:30 because I was too tired.
I just want to put him in a Lysol-coated bubble sometimes. We don't even go to daycare!

Aren't they starting to think the microcephaly issues are more related to pesticides in water than Zika?
There were a few articles released suggesting that from sources that aren't the most reputable that have since been shot down. It was just an alternate theory, similar to the lead in the water theory.

So baby now has an official eviction date. February 21. I am really hoping that I start labor naturally before then, but I don't know why I feel that way. It's really more convenient to be induced because someone can come watch Henry at a set time. I'll be showered and fed. I don't know, I just feel like I'm doing my baby a disservice because my body isn't ready. But then, bodies mess things up all the time, and the timing of labor is no different.

lucylou If you can swing child care, why not take the temp work? I'm trying to word this without giving away anything you shared on the private board. For me, working has always helped me if I'm ever in a funk and it might be a good way to find a school for ds.
