I'm going out of my mind here trying to decide what to do at my haircut next week. I only get my hair cut about every six months It's about five inches past my shoulders atm and I love having my hair long for the last few years - I always think I look more chunky with it short. But I've lost 25 lbs since the last time I had short hair and I'm wondering how much I'm going to hate the longer hair come warmer weather, being more pregnant, etc. Wouldn't it be easier to care for a shorter hair cut? Not a pixie, but something a little below my chin.

You STMs... did you cut your hair and immediately regret it???

macaronmama I let mine grow and cut it when DS was about 2 months and he started grabbing it. I liked being able to just throw it up in a pony most days when it was long.

The day turned out better than I thought. After a long nap, DH felt much better. We grilled steaks for dinner, then invited both sets of parents to go out for ice cream. I made a shirt for DD to wear and announce our news. She still hasn't been told what's going on because then everyone will know. Our parents were excited but we made sure they know it's still very early.

I'm on a flight to Amsterdam right now with about an hour left and my allergies are driving me nuts! I'm sure the guy next to me is super grossed out because I've been through about 100 tissues since we took off

macaronmama So, my face shape changes a lot when pregnant. Like, not in a good way. It sort of spreads? It's a by product of all the relaxin in your system, I know some peoples like noses get really wide. So weird. Anyway, all that to say that I would pick a really safe style in case this happens. Also, I liked having my hair to fall back on when I felt like a beached whale or had bad skin. I am clearly a gorgeous pregnant person lol. But I'm sure that people who feel glowing might tell you differently.

@holachica Post partum hair loss is the worst!! I'm 8 mo pp and currently have a halo of baby hair, it looks so bad. And now it will grow out just in time for me to lose it all again. This is a legit factor in not having more kids. I am sick of growing out my stupid baby hairs only to start over again.
I'm exaggerating.

Yep. Barely a single strand of hair lost during my pregnancy with DD. Then 3 months post partum and the hair just came out in chunks. It was terrible.

Re: haircuts. I kept my hair long all through pregnancy with DS up until June of last year. I chopped at least 6 inches, if not more off, it just grazed my shoulders and was all one length. Super easy to take care of, but I couldn't really put it back in a pony. I'm undecided now what I want to do with it, so I just keep having my stylist give it a good trim. I'm afraid if I get as swollen as I did with DS, the short hair will really emphasize that...but it was SO easy to take care of.

I don't remember my hair falling out during pregnancy or after with DS, but I know it happened to my BFF and sister after her second.

I think my hair grew quickly while pregnant with DS. I shed fairly often pregnant or not, so I didn't notice any real change after DS was born.

Oh. My. God. DH must have food poisoning or the noro virus. He's been sick all morning but just projectile vomitted from the bed down the hall to the bathroom. I have been retching for over an hour. I'm trapped downstairs bc the house smells so bad. He cleaned it up but oh the smell. Damn my super sensitive nose! I had to call his mom because we don't even have laundry soap and now have a lot of horribly smelling laundry! It's literally like a horror film here guys. It's so bad!!!!!

I shed a lot no matter what so didn't notice much difference. I've also always had the spiky baby hairs on top of my forehead. I have never figured out what to do with them. Hairspray helps for like twenty minutes and then they're even spikier. Any ideas?
My hair is pretty long and usually always is. I always have it a pony at its shortest and a messy bun at its longest. I just have no sense about style. Hair or clothes.
We went for a walk and did some yard work this morning. So glad it was nice enough out to do that.

I am really hoping this is food poisoning. The puking seems to have stopped. DH says he cleaned everything up- I haven't been upstairs to investigate. We opened all the windows to air it out. FX the smell goes away so I can eat someday again

Saturday was lovely... Had steamed crabs and it was finally nice enough outside to take DS out to play. Stark contrast to today when DH has been a bear. He tweaked his back a little last night and he has been making all of us pay for it today. I think he's more moody than I am!

MS has taken over my life. I have only been able to keep chicken noodle soup down. Nothing sounds appealing. It's awful. I'm just hoping I am not like this at work tomorrow.

I really liked being able to put my hair in a ponytail after having DS. There were a lot of days where styling my hair just wasn't happening, particularly in the first few months. When my son was a little over a year old, I got a pixie cut. I loved it, but I disliked having to get it cut every 4-6 weeks to prevent a mullet from happening. I started growing it out and a year later it's chin length. It's taking forever to grow out.
