So we were really anxious and took he picture before we found out it was twins. After our appointment we had to step back and regroup. This is what we posted for the fb world to see.

We finally have a plan! Assuming everything is good at out NT scan, we will announce on Easter. I'm going to print and frame this, and have DS hold it for a picture.
I haven't put anything on Facebook with my first two pregnancies. After dealing with IF for 4 years, I just couldn't do it. I don't mean any shade to those who do. I love the creativity I see now, but I still have a few close friends on FB from my support group who won't ever be able to make the pregnancy announcement, and I just can't do it.
With our first, we found out right before mother's day, so we wrapped a framed print out of baby foot prints with the captions, "We may be short...but our family is growing by two feet."
With our second, we just told our families.
We've already told our families by dressing my youngest in a "big brother" shirt when we were having dinner. My mom, brother, sister, and sister in-law got it right away. My dad on the other hand, had to have it pointed out.
I'll be telling my close friends by texting a picture of both my boys in big brother shirts after my 12 week appointment next Monday, but seriously, third pregnancy in 4 years, it's not a secret anymore if anyone sees me.

bennikki I totally get that. We never announced our first on Facebook for the same reasons. I'm still undecided if we will put the announcement on FB this time or not.
Love that, thiscoffeechick! I actually really wanted to do that for a while but now I'm afraid people will be like "pfft seen it done don't curr"
Although I suppose they could say that about anything I post lol.
I haven't really seen an "original" pregnancy announcement in years. I think ripping off Pinterest ideas is par for the course regarding all things baby. Hell, we are thinking of doing the lined up shoes for our next pregnancy announcement. It's common BECAUSE it's cute!

I have never seen that one done IRL before. I've seen it on Pinterest and think it's really cute!, but none of my IRL friends or family have done it before. If you want to do it, do it!!!

So I decided not to do anything super creative for FB (mainly I couldn't decide what I wanted to do between my ideas, and decided to just go somewhat basic) - I'm going to put a shamrock bandanna on my dog Thursday and post a picture of him with the u/s pictures from my NT scan with the message "Happy St Patrick's Day from Me, MH, our pup, and Baby LastName expected September 2016."

Actually I just found and bought this off Etsy!! (that's the sample, not my name) I'll get it printed and do the picture with my dog I was talking about earlier.
We're going to announce on Wednesday after I tell my niece and nephew. Will say something about 'DD is so excited to be a big sister in Sept.' or 'DD is so excited for a new playmate in Sept.' PDQ
Here was our announcement from last week. I cropped out the part that has our name. The rest is in Japanese and says that our dog is going to be a big sister.

We are announcing today! DS1 had a big brother shirt and I added DS2 to the shirt and had him wear it to my parents this morning. DS1 helped confirmed it when he was asked, "Is your mom going to have a baby?" He responded, "Well of course". ha!
I need to tell work and a few other close family members today as well. I have a belly....
