danielle, my insurance doesn't cover Diclegis either. I've been taking a unisom (Doxylamine) and 50mg of B6 before bed every night and have experienced the same results. It's waaaay cheaper. Diclegis is still patented so there is no generic. I remember my pharmacy was going to charge $50 for 8 pills.
I've tried the unisom/b6 combo and it didn't work for me. I think it's because of the delayed release diclegis has.
fem, oatmeal is a good idea, but H gets whiney about it because he only likes it with a ton of brown sugar and maple syrup and he doesn't want that much sugar in his breakfast.
He drives me nuts. The only other option that really "sounds good" to him is a 20+ minute effort for me. I'm totally not up to some huge breakfast effort at 6am these days, and it's a giant pain in the ass. I don't mind making breakfast (if he makes his own we end up having to get up considerably earlier so he can make breakfast AND have time to get ready) but for crying out loud, work with me, man.

I bought my doppler and pillow! I'm not sure which one I'm more excited about showing up
I watched a couple tutorials on YouTube about the sonoline B. I've set up a couple ground rules with myself. I'll only check the heartbeat once a week (exceptions for triggering dreams). Also if I can't find the heartbeat I will not freak out and will try a day or two later.
I'm really excited for DS to hear the heartbeat. For him this has been all talk and I think it will really sink in and help him get excited.

Those are some good ground rules singingsea, and I did the same. It certainly has helped me to not obsess over the doppler. You are far enough along that hopefully you shouldn't have much trouble finding baby's heartbeat, but I've noticed that if baby is hanging out kinda low, it can be much trickier to pick up the sound. But it sounds like you are preparing yourself for that, which I think was the best think I did before the doppler showed up. Hope it arrives quickly so you can give yourself peace of mind when you need it.
pismoduo, what about those pancakes that are just one egg and a ripe banana beaten together? I know you said no egg smell but they smell more like bananas to me. Or greek yogurt with fruit?

This intrigues me. I have no issues with uncooked eggs, and I'm sure the banana smell would overwhelm. And since it's just egg and banana it shouldn't be too carb heavy (aside from the natural sugar of the banana, but there's a banana in his morning smoothie). Do you happen to have a good recipe, or could I find it via google search?
I'm waiting in the car for my daughter to wake up so we can go in for some $1.99 hand rolls. So hungry! I'm going to be good and get the non-raw ones even though I would kill for some raw fish.
Google told me that the raw ones are OK if you know they're made from fish that was frozen for at least 4 hours prior to being thawed and cut.

I ate raw sushi a few times with DS. It was from a reputable place that H and I frequent often. My favorite rolls have cooked eel so most of the time I was in the clear.
Oh and deep fried sushi rolls. Drool. Damn it now I'm starving.
Sorry you had bad dreams and that you feel bad. I hope you feel better tomorrow singingsea Sorry about the bleeding, glad it has stopped flojo973 It was a nice day today so I took DS to the park.
Ugh the evenings are rough for me in terms of nausea. I'm just letting my kid chase my dog around while I wait for TJ's fish sticks to cook. Fun times over here!
I'm still debating a doppler...I think it might actually make me insane though.
My doctor gave me a sample of diclegis on Friday. It's been helping so much, but my insurance doesn't cover it. I have to find out how much it's going to cost and see if it's worth it.
Can you get more samples? I got two bottles from my ob office. I take B6 and a whole unisom at night and then one diclegis pill in the morning. It's the same active ingredient just different dosages and not time released.

Almost all sushi was flash frozen and thawed to be served at restaurants. Which is why I have no qualms eating it twice a week. And my 15 month old loves fish and avocado so we've already split a few rainbow rolls.
I'm mobile and lazy, so I can't remember who I'm talking to breakfast about.... but I've found that oatmeal is great with applesauce. Less sugar but plenty of flavor and sweetness.

I used to make these all the time and completely forgot about them! I would put peanut butter on them too (obviously I have a thing for peanut butter). I believe my recipe was 1 mashed banana, beat in (just with a wooden spoon) 2 eggs and a little salt. So easy. Hopefully I can stomach this again because I know I'm not getting much protein in my diet right now.
Also I have been craving fried sushi from a local place for a week. It's gonna have to be dinner this week some time.

My cousin was so excited for us!!!!!! I'm relieved. Only thing she asked about was fitting in my dress for the wedding but I told her I took care of that when I ordered it.

This is why tonight's dinner ended up being an apple and a quesadilla.
Would it be weird if I just started dipping strawberries in balsamic vinaigrette? Probably.
There are strawberry basalmic vinaigrettes, so maybe not too weird.
That's true. Berries and balsamic is a classic pairing. Normally I'd do a reduction of balsamic vinegar or the strawberries as part of a salad with a vinaigrette though. The slight oiliness the vinaigrette with nothing but strawberries strikes me as odd, but I also want to eat that.

I suck at keeping up with a toddler and 2 BMBs. I try to peek in every now and then over here, but don't often post. I hope everyone starts feeling better and sleeping better soon!
I have never heard of this banana egg pancake thing, but I'm definitely going to have to try it! pismoduo, I'm quite impressed with you that you make YH breakfast and that you get up when he gets up. MH is not so lucky! So what about some make ahead breakfast burritos? You could make them with corn, peppers, potatoes, meat, and cheese so no eggs. Freeze a bunch of those, then pop one in the microwave in the morning! Or maybe yogurt parfait?

Yea, with two idiot dogs that sleep with us not getting up with him isn't really an option. And my day is way more flexible so if I leave for work a little later than normal it's not really a big deal.
I got stuff for yogurt parfaits (including sugar free granola, sweetened with vanilla extract) and I pre-made some mini crustless quiches that I can quickly pop in the microwave. Plus a box of lean Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches. Whole wheat English muffin, egg whites and Turkey sausage.
