Every MW I've seen has asked if my water broke before contractions began with DS...is this more common than statistics lead me to believe? I mean, seems to be pretty standard here in M16 so I'm curious.
I wonder this, too. It seemed more commonplace than the oft-quoted statistic (is it 10%?) on my other BMB as well.
The same goes for pre-e/high blood pressure, I often wonder if that's more common than they suggest. Though maybe that was just an issue on my last BMB, not too many here seem to have that yet knock on wood!
Personally I would not mind my water breaking. Makes it pretty obvious... I think I might need that haha!
This was the only way I knew baby was coming. In hindsight, I realize I was having contractions earlier in the evening and H swore I'd go into labor that night. I denied and denied and then my water broke later that night.

I had the weirdest encounter with a stranger at the voting polls yesterday. A woman had asked me what I was having and before I could answer an older man chimed in and said a little girl. I was like yes that's right and he said that you can see it in my face.... Which I thought was weird. Then he says and I bet I can tell you if you have other kids and what they are. I was just like oh? He says you have a little boy. Which is also right. WTF?? The lady was like that's a little creepy lol. Never seen this person in my life.
Maybe its the pain meds working but I'm on cloud 9 right now. Great hospital stay (first time delivering here) and feel ready to take on life at home. Miss H and kids but I'm so proud of H making it all work with out me. He's also been extra appreciative of what I do after play Mr.Mom for a few days. And Emmalyn is doing great, definitely a newborn not letting me sleep but we're managing.
I know times can get dark and rough mommas but its all going to be great.

I slept from 10pm to 6am. WTF is this sorcery???!!! I suspect this was a master plan orchestrated by MH. My boobs were on fire though when I finally woke up.

That was nice of him!! but yea... unfortunately that'll happen.

Definitely the pain meds. j/k Happy to hear things are going so smoothly and that your H is stepping up. Can I send my H over so he can show him how it's done?!
Also, funny thing about the pain meds. I had L during the 2014 winter Olympics and I remember watching curling thinking it was the most amazing sport ever. In that case it was definitely the percocet.

I'm definitely sick... my throat is all kinds of unhappy and blech mucus. Feels like I got hit by a truck too since I'm achy, but I'm not sure if that's pregnancy related or this cold that's brewing.

I am just so sick of people asking "when are you going to have that baby?" I don't know, let me look into my fucking crystal ball!! Believe me, I wish I knew too!
Also the number of people who are shocked that I DON'T know surprises me. Apparently induction and c-sections are all the rage these days, it's like going into labor on your own is something no one has ever heard of.

I'm at the vet with my dog, and our appointment was at 9:30. Already have been waiting 35 minutes and there are 2 ahead of me stil, who had appointments at 9 and 9:15. I am beyond irritated that I'll probably be waiting another half hour at least. And I have to pick up DS2 at 11...
I am so so so tired and cranky today. Glad I get to go home after my doc appointment this afternoon.
I'm going to bring up induction today. I have got to get better at being my own advocate and speaking up. Every time I see him I clam up and just nod to what he says... But today I am demanding a CC and at least a talk on when to schedule an induction.
I'm going to do it. It's here in writing, so now I have to.
"She's still in there, huh?" Seriously, coworker, not helpful. Andplusalso, I'm only 37 weeks. Yes I'm miserable and over it but there's no reason for you to expect her to be here already.
I emailed a bunch of ppl asking for addresses. Trying to organize the list for announcements... I got so many how you feeling? Any day now? Are you nervous/excited? Responses back... I know ppl are being nice but I was just like nope. Not responding.

I've encountered this too! Everyone at work seemed confused as to how I didn't have a date set. WHUT?

I'm hungry and want a snack, but walking is painful and that pain is not worth it to get from my desk to my snack cabinet right now.
Also, +1 to being sick of everyone being surprised that I haven't given birth yet. Yes, I feel awful. Yes, I'm ready to be done. Shockingly enough, that bears NO weight on this child making his/her appearance, and I *technically* still have 16 days until my due date. So, SHUT UP SHUT UP SHUT UP.
Ugh, this whole "I'm breech now thing" is really not fun. If I get a kick to the cervix/rectum one more time, I swear... Every time I do those spinning babies exercises I get contractions for like 2 hours. So annoyed.
Also, random lady at the gas station, you did not know I was having a boy b/c I'm due in March. Baby's sex is not determined based on the month of conception.

Breech babies definitely suck. She kicked me so many times in the cervix it almost brought tears sometimes. Like I thought a foot might be hanging out lol

Yep, I have a cousin due this week and it's her first so I've been checking in on her. Her induction is set for next Tuesday. Not even a week past due...

My sil asked me how big they were predicting she'd be and if they thought I'd go full term. I didn't know my doctor was able to predict her arrival? I have no idea.

adorebel's doc was great at predicting for her!! :-P at my appointment hoping my doc makes some asinine comment like hers did to reverse jinx me...

My little guy isn't as much of a kicker as he is a puncher. He's been head down for most of the pregnancy, and sometimes I feel like my cervix is a punching bag, but don't feel many kicks at all - more often stretches of the legs and stuff like that.

Haha with my dd my mw guessed I wasn't going full term around 36 weeks when I started having complications. I called my aunt a few days later (also my doula) to fill her in and she told me if I didn't go over she'd eat her hat. She's attended a couple hundred labours. DD was born 4 days later at 37.3 weeks. Lol.

She's been head down since my NT scan at 12 weeks. She punches and does the foot stretching into my right rib. But lately, if I touch where her foot is, she kicks back like HEY. WOMAN. DONT TOUCH ME.
Yesterday, H was on the train home with me and I said "hey, touch right here, its her foot." He did and she instantly moved, so he didnt feel her foot. So I said "touch here, she moved." He touched there, and she moved away again. Little butt.

Yea if I trying pushing her down when she is WAY up in my rib, she gets pissed and throws a tantrum kicking & punching the crap out of my sides.

I think she's going to be a handful.
YUP. This is how I feel.
Meanwhile, my H is living under some kind of rock and told me the other morning that he "doesnt think she will cry that much."

This was my response:
You never know! My son never really cried. Like.. there was one night as a baby that he cried and I will never forget it. I have a feeling this one will cry a lot more because A) my luck, and B) I will have another kid to tend to, so she may have to wait sometimes C) I don't want my boobs to be a soother this time.
