So we are halfway through our classes and it's helping so much. We are thinking about things differently and can see a way out. I used the envelope system yesterday for groceries and it's a game changer. I spent so much less by really paying attention.
And... We paid off one credit card this morning!! $3500 less in debt. That card had a 24% interest rate too, so that's a huge monkey off our back.
I do! We get paid on the 25th each month. Slowly we've moved from living month-to-month to a little extra. Last month we had over $1,000 extra in the account when we got paid. This despite my fancy coffee addiction. I'm so proud of us.

I'm really excited because last month we were able to put a lot of our money towards my student loans and we are now under $10k for my student debt. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that we can get those paid off by the end of the year.
I celebrated by getting some Easter gifts for DH and Callie.
I drastically reduced our grocery budget last month and still managed to buy organic meat and plenty of fruits/veggies. I was able to apply the extra money I usually spent on junk food and put it towards my student loans. I also realized how much money I waste on things I buy just because they are on sale and not because we really need them (Target clearance aisle I'm looking at you). Even though I worked less hours last month, we had more money left at the end of the money because I cut down on spending.
