CP time: Where is your little one while you shower?

I feel like I need to know what other people do with toddlers when it's shower time. I also think we needed something to click.

Since I can't chose 2 options I did SS. Weekdays: kids are asleep. Weekends: kids are watched by SO.

Same same. Sometimes I don't shower until naptime on Saturdays though.

During the week I shower in the morning but on the weekend I shower at night after she goes to bed since I sleep in till she wakes up.

When it was just DS I would give him my phone with a little baby bum video and he would sit in our bedroom (right outside of the bathroom) within my sight since we have a glass shower door. Now that DD is here too I can't leave them alone in the same room so I either wait until they nap or do it before the kids wake up in the morning.

Nap time or in the evenings. If I need to shower before nap time, I throw him in his crib with as many toys and books as I can grab. Usually he makes a game of throwing previously mentioned toys and books all over his room.

I shower at night before bed usually, and then sit him in the sink in the morning to do my messy hair from sleeping on it wet. If I have to shower when hes awake, I usually do a quick pits, tits and lady bits shower and keep him in the bathroom with me.

Mine wants to pull out all the bottles of Bath & Body Works hand sanitizer, contact solution, cotton balls, and all sorts of other things that I'm afraid he'd try to open and eat if he got to them without supervision.

I only shower in the evenings (old habit) so it's always when he's asleep. Thank God for that, because I doubt I'd get a shower otherwise.

Sometimes she's in the shower with me. She sits in her bathtub pushed to one end of the shower and plays and I take a shower.

Other times she is just playing and will come check in on me from time to time. I always get at least a 10 minute shower. I'm very fortunate because she doesn't get into anything, but thats typical of her anyways. She isn't a mischief kid...yet. I usually have her favorite show on and she will watch TV or like I said just play.

When I'm doing my make up she sits at the sink with me and plays with her tooth brush or in give her other brushes to play with. Or again she's just playing and will come check in with me.

SS: just depends on the day. During the week, I try to shower before she's up, but if she is awake, I'll set her up with a show on the iPad for a few minutes. Sometimes she's rather stand outside the shower door and scream, though. Weekends are whenever - DH watches the kids, I shower at night, whatever.

I usually wait until I put them down for naps, or to bed for the night. Sometimes DH watches them. On rare occasions, if I wake up before DS, I can get a shower in the morning... definitely more awake/refreshed those days lol.

I shower at night 99% of the time. If I workout while he naps I will do a quick shower when I'm done.

They are both usually in the shower with me or both banging on the shower door screaming at me. Such a relaxing time for me O.o

Morning showers over here. I wake up with DS at 7am, nurse, pump, coffee, breakfast, shower, and then get DD out of the crib around 8:30/9. If I don't shower I'm a zombie.

During the week I shower when she and DH are still asleep. But on the weekends, and when DH showers, we just shower while she plays around the house. Sometimes she will play in the bathroom or watch TV in our bedroom, other times she wanders into the living room and plays with her toys. She doesn't get into anything too frustrating, so we don't have to worry about much.

I shower pretty much every other day, while Cy is napping and Junie is watching something. Curious George usually keeps her glued to the couch.

I guess I should weigh in on my own poll. I had been bringing DD in to shower with me but she has too many toys now for both of us to fit. Now she just plays in the bathroom while I shower. In general, she brings every one of her toys from the bucket to the shower and throws it in to make sure I have enough toys to play with. They each get thrown in one at a time, so it takes her a good 8 minutes to finish this task. Then she stands there and tries to reach the water but is unsuccessful so gets frustrated. Either way, she ends up getting moderately wet.

Does it work? Sure. Is it optimal? Not at all.

I should've put SS. Most of the time she showers with me. Today she pooped in the shower. It was lovely. If she's not in the shower with me, she just plays around. Her favorite thing to do is put all of DH's shoes in the tub.

Usually either one or both are in the tub with me. Sometimes I will sneak up alone and leave them in the living room where L can't get into anything. When DH is home I take the longest solo showers, its glorious.

It's not. She HATES the shower water on her face, so we only do it when we come home from the beach/pool and just need to rinse off quickly.

When we were staying with friends last month, I thought she would play happily in the  bathroom while I showered, but no luck. I ended up stripping her down and bringing her in with me, and had to shave my legs over her head. Ha! We were a mess, but it worked.

Always shower when she is in bed!!! She is into everything and climbs the back of the couch, wiggles her body between hand rail and stairs to bypass the baby gate to go upstairs, or pushes a table chair into kitchen so she can play in the sink or with the Keurig. Do not trust her at.all.

So much variance.
-In bed if I worked out after work
-With DH if she's awake on weekends
-In her crib if it's AM and she's waking up
-This AM she sat on the couch and watched TV because DH is in the UP and she was awake before I got in.

Overall I'm pretty lucky with my shower time being my time.

*I've only showered with her once, it was terrifying because she wasn't walking yet and our shower is tile and it had disaster written all over it. We prefer solo baths.
