I have not gone to sleep yet, we'll other than the nap I had putting LO to sleep. I need to be up in 4 hours and today is parent teacher conferences. They go until 8pm. It's going to be a long ass day. Instead of sleeping right now I got wrapped up in reading all the posts I've missed. Oops!
I'm up with C who keeps screaming like he's in pain. Not sure what is bothering him. Went down pretty good at 8:30 and we were up just after midnight. At first I just thought he was upset because he needed to burp- did that but didn't help one bit. The only way he's comfortable is if I'm walking in circles. I see a very long night (and day) in my future. Good luck with PTC stinybean.
Sorry to hear that you're having rotten nights :-(
It's morning here. L spent most of the night in our bed because she was waking and screaming as soon as she hit the cot mattress. This is a good short term solution as all three of us slept, but it isn't a long term solution at all.
Thursday is our day without any classes, so we'll probably have a quiet morning. This afternoon Granny will hopefully be able to take L for a walk whilst I go swimming.
Poor babe is sneezing her head off. I hope it's a short-lived cold.
Looking forward to a quiet day here as well! Nothing planned except a 7pm conference call, which may or may not happen for me, since tomorrow is my solo parenting day.
LO slept from 7-2:30, but has been up ever since. She sounds a bit congested, which may be why she refuses to go back to sleep. I'm about to tap out here and get my H up.
We have a bunch of errands to run today, but nothing major.
I hope all of the sick and non-sleeping babies settle in and all of the mommies can get some rest! It's 4:30 am here and LO is in our bed and is sleeping on her belly which freaks me out in our bed. If she does it in her crib its totally fine, not here. So I'm up with my hand on her back just watching her because she's had a pretty restless night. Her fourth tooth has been working its way down and she's so uncomfortable.
budders We have a half a day with the kids- they get dismissed at 11:30. Then the parents come at 12:25-2:25. We have a dinner break. Then the rest of the parents come from 5-8.
budders I'm going to assume V cooperated & went back to sleep. madymoiselle & sabrinaml I hope things got better. purple I hope L isn't sick for long. wegrowsheep yay for a quiet day! I hope the call goes well. erbear I hope LO feels better. mgrandy I didn't get a chance to welcome you yet as I've been very busy this week... so welcome!

Back to work today. A was up off and after 12 and slept in the bed with me the entire night. H is working nights right now so i got a little sleep between restless spells since I didn't have to deal with snoring too.
Buying a round of coffee for the board! Hopefully I'll make it through the day without a nap.

O is sick as a dog. I usually babysit Thursday's but the other families are understandably keeping their kids home. I think we'll test out the baby apps I bought for our plane ride next week.
I REALLY can't get sick before our trip. Any tips? I'm going to the drug store so can buy emergen-c and whatever else...
stinybean I hope you were able to get a little sleep! That makes for a very long day!
Sorry so many other moms and babies had a rough night.
R was only up once again last night, so I'm in a pretty good mood this morning. We also only have a half day with students today, and meetings all day tomorrow, so I have no complaints! Unless I think about the fact that DH helped with nothing again this morning...that makes me stabby. It's par for the course lately, though.
LO was up again at 5:30 before being up for the day at 7. Since then, she's pushed her walker across the floor and fallen, snuck behind the baby gate at the stairs while I made some tea, and used me as a jungle gym while I ate breakfast (because I wasn't giving her any).

What do you do with a sick baby??? So far we've watched Sesame Street music videos and sat on the couch. He's pretty content so I guess just more of this??
Sorry to hear about so many sick babies and rough nights! carolyngrace, I swear by Zicam. Take the Emergen-C, and if you feel even so much as a tickle in your throat, start taking the Zicam (or some other zinc medication). As far as what to do with a sick baby, I just follow DS's lead. We normally do more dancing/rocking/singing than usual, but if he's not 100% miserable, we still just do a good deal of playing toys on the floor. We seem to hopefully be over the cold DS had, but now the dog is acting off today. She has quite a history of health issues, and she's kind of an anxiety-ridden dog, so I'm hoping that she just gets over it as the day goes on. She's at work with me now, so hopefully it's not too cold that I can motivate us to get a walk in at lunch, and extra snuggles with mom will be enough to get her acting normal again by tonight.

Morning everyone My Dr called me in some antibiotics for whatever this throat pain is, so at least I don't have to make an appointment.
J woke up sounding a little congested and was screaming. The corner of tooth 3 broke through yesterday afternoon, and 4 and 5 aren't far behind. Normally once he wakes up he is up, but this morning he insisted on going back to sleep. We have our music class at 10, and we have a few errands to run, but nothing major today.
Sorry to all the sick babies and babies who didn't sleep! I hope all you mamas get a break and some rest.
Add us to the up every 1-2 hours club. I even tried her in bed but she wasn't having it. She decided to get up for the day at 445...
We were going to go to the aviary today but I don't know if I can drive I'm so tired. Hopefully she'll take a decent nap and I can too! No luck yet though.
DD started saying mama in the last week or two (yay!), and now H is trying really hard to get her to say dad. DS is also in a phase of calling me mama, so whenever I hear H go to DD 'say dada!' I always hear DS laughing and yelling 'mama!!!!' to DD. I'm glad he's on my team too
Morning ladies! I think B is feeling better today! Still snotty but not so congested. I'm sorry to all the sick babes and tired mama's! We were up lots last night and she slept with us again as she wouldn't let me put her in her crib. Today I am making soup and maybe play group this morning.

We had a "boy girl night" last night, which is what LBB calls it when DH doesn't get home till after he's asleep. (He used to just call it a girl night, because a boy night is when I get home late)
I let LBB choose whether he wanted me to put BH to sleep first, and then him - knowing that BH could wake up and end his nighttime routine, or if he wanted to go to bed early and we could all go to sleep together. He chose the latter. So we all crawled into LBB's bed last night and after both boys were asleep, I moved BH to his crib.

I do the usual stuff, plus hanging out in the bathroom with the steam on. C also likes baths so I usually put her in there just to play and she can last for like 30ish minutes. When she doesn't feel well she generally takes more naps (not necessarily as long a normal, but more in number). It's nice to wear her around the house and do some chores (laundry, dishes, vacuuming, etc) while she's getting her snuggles and I have my hand free;)
Today is pajama day at daycare and I have to pick the kids up early to take DD to an eye doctor appointment. I wonder how many weird stares we are going to get since DD is wearing a nightgown. I'm really hoping DD will behave at the appointment; the last couple of times she really wouldn't cooperate with getting her eyes dilated, sitting in the chair, all of those special tools, etc.

Add me to the "still sick" list and also to the "baby wouldn't sleep at all" club. I have no idea how many times she woke up last night, it was too frequent to count.
The afternoon and evening was entirely thrown off because of a missed bottle, that I didn't realize happened until after the ferocious dinner time meltdown and 3 hour bedtime fiasco, when I found a random full bottle in my fridge and asked SO if he had put it there and he hadn't. I had to leave her with my dad (at our house) in the afternoon when I left for a doctor's appointment, but he didn't watch her the whole time and passed off care to my SIL, and I'm assuming did not pass on the word to her that she hadn't taken the bottle that I left for her, so SIL didn't even know to try to give it to her, and my dad just put it in the fridge. The way my kid is, she could be absolutely STARVING but if there is anything at all exciting (ie her cousins are playing on the couch next to her grandpa) while youre trying to feed her, she gets distracted and you basically have to just keep at it and make her to take the bottle. If anything I just wish he had passed on the information to my SIL so she could have known to try to feed her or been able to pass it on to me so I would have known she missed an entire feeding and was freaking hungry as hell and not just randomly upset and out of sorts. I have a hard time saying anything because I ask so much of my family becausr I literally have at least 3 appointments every week and only my dad and SIL to rely on for care, and they both have other kids in their care plus a shit ton of stress going on so I hate to make a big deal out of HOW they feed my kid, when in reality they go out of their way to do me huge favors all the time. But something so small threw off my whole night and my kids whole night. I just wish I knew she was hungry!
Omg Tl;dr. My dad babysat and didn't give a bottle and it threw off the whole rest of our day. I'm stressed as fuck but that's not why!

I need to order my next shipment of diapers from Honest but I keep holding out to see if they get any new spring prints. I know as soon as I order they will release them-__- I have 2 packs left in he current size so I'll keep playing the waiting game for now #firstworldproblems
Morning! Day of running errands while sister is at MMO for us
C was a bunch last night too, I think we may finally be getting the first tooth, maybe some meds before bed if I can confirm this without losing a finger
Sorry everyone is sick. My lo is also on the list. He's been so congested and coughing but no fever. Last night he actually slept in his swing...my mom was here so she slept on the floor of the nursery I felt like a horrible mom letting her do it but she wanted to and seemed to sleep well enough (when I walked by the nursery to check I could hear her snoring).
carolyngrace, my go to is zinc lozenges. They work wonders for me!
Well I was finally able to put C back in his crib around 2 this morning. He then slept the rest of the night. I'm not sure if it's his teeth (dr said his top 2 lateral incisors are coming through before his top 2 central incisors) or if it's because he had something to eat that didn't agree with him. We had pork roast with potatoes and carrots at my moms. He has trouble with sweet potatoes so maybe white potatoes aren't a good idea either? The only other thing I can think of is pooping issues. His afternoon BM wasn't much so maybe he's backed up. Either way he seems fine right now and is inch worming his way across the room while I drink my coffee.
