Thirsty because overnight and this morning I got struck by a mild stomach bug. My stomach turned all night and I've gotten sick (not throwing up, the other way) twice this morning. I'm sending DD to daycare and not working this afternoon, but I had my first appt with the OB at 11 and really want to go.
fem Sorry you don't feel well!!! That sucks but at least you can be home today. I'd probably postpone the appointment but that's because I've had exams at my last 2 and I don't want anyone in my business with all that going on!!
I did not take my morning sickness medicine last night so today may be interesting. I've been feeling much better in general so hopefully I can get by without and maybe not have to take it anymore... Also, 13 weeks today so I'm almost officially done with first tri!!!

Congrats on 2nd tri! How exciting!!
I didn't even think about there could be an exam, good point! I'll reschedule when they open. I wish I had a Doppler because of course I worry with being sick.
Me: 28, all tests normal DH: 34, very low count, motility, morphology DX - MFI 11/14/09 - Married 01/01/14 - TTC #1 01/06/15 - Started working with RE 04/06/15 - Recommendation - straight to IVF w/ICSI 09/04/15 - Started working with new RE Nov/Dec 15 - IVF w/ ICSI #1 - 11R/8F - 1 transferred, 3 frozen
Hope you feel better soon fem. If I knew it was a standard monthly check-up (weight, BP, urine, doppler only) I'd probably still go, but I agree if there was any chance of an exam I'd be cancelling too.
OK I feel like a total AW today but they just put my ultrasound results in my chart online and it says I have a subchorionic hemorrhage measuring 1.8cm x 1.2 by 0.7cm. I googled and then made myself stop.
karabear4409 you have one too right? Should I be freaking out?
I'm stoked about this weekend. We're finally telling H's side of the family. Would have done it sooner but we've been so busy, they live an hour away and we didn't want to tell them over the phone. We're putting DS in his big brother shirt and seeing how long it takes them to catch on
Also my doppler is showing up today. I'm excited to hopefully find the heartbeat and let DS hear

fem - DO NOT GOOGLE!!!!! I know nothing about them except they can cause bleeding like karabear4409 was experiencing, but step away from the Google for things like this!!! It will not do you any good to freak yourself out if you come across some scary anecdotes.
singingsea - Yay for the doppler arriving today!! FX you find the HB really quickly! And that's exciting about this weekend! Have fun telling them!!

fem yep! I have the SCH from hell that won't stop bleeding. Definitely stay away from Google!
If you have any bleeding, don't freak out and immediately assume the worst. The bleeding would likely be from the SCH. Eventually, it will either bleed out or be absorbed. Also, as the baby gets bigger, the SCH will be pushed out of the way.
One of the big concerns of SCHs is that if the bleeding gets behind the placenta, it could cause the placenta to detach. So, where the SCH is located is important. But, many many women go on to have totally normal pregnancies with SCHs.
The main reason I have been on bedrest for five weeks is because mine was pushing right up against the gestational sac, I bleed whenever I do anything at all, and my doctors are being overly cautious since we did IVF.
Also, the blood inside of the can irritate the uterus and cause cramping. So, if you have any cramping or bleeding, just take it easy.
singingsea let us know how the doppler goes. I'm still on the fence about getting one. And have fun telling your H's family!!
I love having mine. I've only been letting myself use it twice a week at most, and only for a few minutes once I catch the HB, but it is really nice to be able to listen to it at home just to know it's still there.
fem I also just remembered...you may want to stay away from sex until you talk to your doctor. That could make the bleeding worse.
Not a problem lately , but thanks.
Oh girl. I know the feeling. I'm embarrassed to say how long it's been. I would feel bad for my husband...if I wasn't dealing with cramping, bleeding and morning sickness. He can deal without sex for a few months.

I was off of bedrest a while 36 hours, and I started bleeding/cramping again this morning. I let DS have his pacifier so that he would lay around and snuggle in front of the TV. (He usually only gets it at bedtime). MOTY over here

Sorry the bleeding started again . But girl you gotta do what you gotta do, don't feel bad about the pacifier.

Boo, sorry to hear the bleeding/cramping started back up. And do what you need to in order to have you DS relax so you can relax - try not to worry yourself about it.

The MFM just called to set up my NT scan in two weeks. The lady also confirmed that my insurance will cover it. I am so relieved! We have pretty crappy insurance, so I was worried that this was going to be an issue.
singingsea so exciting about telling your H's family and getting the Doppler. I love having one. I only use mine once or twice a week. It came in so handy when I had spotting a few weeks ago.

Totally anecdotal, but if it helps, I've had two bouts of explosive ... stomach issues ... since I got pregnant and both times everything has been fine. Just make sure to keep your fluids up. If you can't keep anything down, get the Pedialyte freezer popsicles. We keep a stash in the freezer ever since H got food poisoning last spring.
