I have a woven wrap, and have only used it a handful of times. I need to practice the back carries-I would like to use them, but just can't quite get the hang of it. I've tried with DH to help, and he is the most opposite of helpful possible.
carissalynpsquirm and anyone else that baby carries. Are you still planning on wrapping/carrying once LO can walk? MH seems to think it will be useless after LO learns to walk. I don't because he won't be walking around the store anytime soon. Plus he will still want me to hold him when he's tired or teething while I need to clean/cook.
LO is walking and I still wear him. Like other pp have said, I love the closeness. Plus, it's so much easier to wear him while I am running errands. Also, then I don't have to worry about creepers trying to touch him and get in his face since he's physically on me.
Ugh I still have people touch him! Especially his feet. WTF people?

I can barely do it in a mei tai, totally takes practice! Do you have a babywearing group near you? If you can go and have people that know what they're doing help you that's probably your best bet!
HatTrick - I didn't know you were one either! Yeah, there is a city one. I'm not a member, but my best bud is and she's letting me use her login to job search. My dream is to go in-house (because I hate billing more than anything), and a big corporation here is hiring. I'm crossing my fingers!!
carissalynp - I hate it! I thought it would stop once he got closer to one, but it feels like it has gotten worse. Like people feel like they can touch him more becuase he is older. I'm this close to tying a sign on him stating "Be Careful, I Bite!"
DD is currently washing the kitchen floor. I'm not allowed to help. I'm taking advantage of her actually wanting to do things and letting her do it while I sit in the other room.

That's great that your friend is letting you use her login. Lots of times they will only post job openings there. Ugh...I hear you about billing. FX that you get an in-house job.

carissalynp there is a local group, and it is pretty small, but for some reason it still intimidates me! I should really look into that, though.
Also. For some reason, DD has decided she needs to smash all of her lunch then fling it all over the dining room. This isn't normal for her... But I suppose I should count it as a sign that I need to clean the floors that I've been putting off the last couple of days!
MissDemeanor - I hope you had a safe, easy flight yesterday!! I was just thinking of you this morning and hoping your feeling a bit better since getting home
We did have a good flight! R played for the first part of it, and then slept for about three hours. We got three seats to ourselves so I ended up sitting in the middle to use both arm rests and not have his head get bonked by the cart in the aisle. It feels strange to be back. Almost like I'm homesick. Secretly I wonder how long I'll last staying at my parents. But today I make no decisions, just eat and shop!
I have to buy a gift for a very good friend for her M15 baby. Her registry is for BRU, but I don't feel like driving over there, is it ok to make a purchase from BBB if it's the monitor from her registry? I'll be giving it to her this weekend so she could update her registry that the monitor was purchased and I will include a gift receipt.
Also if something is on sale at BRU, will they still accept a competitor coupon, because then it might be worth the drive... (on sale at BRU, but not at BBB, but with the 20 off its cheaper at BBB if I can't use the coupon at BRU.)
MissDemeanor you should definitely throw party if you want to! Why would that be a bad idea? bluedot I wonder if you could call the store or your friends mom or something to update her registry so she doesn't get a duplicate
