From the time my water broke to now I've had moments that have been perfectly explained by the song that pops into my head.
For example:
Water breaking: "Don't Go Chasing Waterfalls" by TLC
After a few contractions: "If I Were a Boy" by Beyoncé
After getting my epidural: "Feels Good" by 3LW
While doing my practice pushes: "Push It" by Salt n Peppa
After hearing I might feel a burning ring around my vagina while pushing: "Burning Ring of Fire" by Jonny Cash
2nd night in the hospital when all Zoey wanted to do was cluster feed and my boobs hurt so bad all I wanted to do was cry and sleep: "It won't be like this for long" by Darius Rucker
Seeing myself in the mirror after delivering and my H telling me I'm beautiful: "All about that bass" by Meghan Trainor (this one didn't necessarily explain my real feelings but it popped in anyway)
Seeing my H fawning over her whole he thought I was sleeping: "Fallen" by Mya
Being rolled out of the hospital in a wheel chair: "Roll Out" by Ludacris
Watching her sleep: "Thinking out loud" by Ed Sheeran
Running her legs to get the gas out: "She's a maniac" from Flashdance
Putting her in her first cutesy outfit that wasn't a sleeper: "Little red corvette" Prince (which happens to be the same song she responded the most to in my belly)
I know we have a lot of music lovers here so if this has happened to you list what was going on and the song.
Hmmm not necessarily a song that popped into my head, but I started playing classical and instrumental music for the dictator. He seems to enjoy "epic" film scores such as pirates of the Caribbean and suites written for the cello.
