How many weeks? 10w5d
EDD? September 28
Next Appointment? Thursday - intake appt/ultrasound at the OB (transferring from a RE)
Symptoms/how are you feeling? Still nauseous. Also still cramping and bleeding. Blerg. I also had my first bout of heartburn today.
Rants/Raves? I am just so over the bleeding.
QOTW: What are you looking forward to as we creep towards Spring? I live in FL, so it's pretty much already spring here. I am loving the beautiful weather and trips to the park. I can't wait to take DS to the beach soon!
DUDE. Like so fucking annoying. The one for the Chicco Key Fit is $60!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! STOOPID.
It's the Baby Jogger City Mini GT. I looked at BOBs but they are heavy and harder to open/close, plus, I aint joggin'.
I also looked at the Graco Air3, Bravo and active or something like that, and they all seemed awesome. So it's really just a crap shoot.
I have a Baby Jogger City Versa (they don't make it anymore) and my adapter was $60 as well! So annoying. But Baby Jogger strollers are awesome and I've heard great things about the GT if that helps at all! BOBs seem super intense to me. Baby Joggers open and close SOOO easily!
Ya the BOB does not look easy at ALL. And it's about 7 pounds heavier which is a big deal when you're carrying a stroller!
Some people have said it doesn't sit up high enough for older children. Did you have that issue?
singingsea I hated the snoogle - i felt like I had to wrestle it around whenever I changed positions. I much prefer a long body pillow
getzystark what kind of stroller did you get? it's really freaking annoying that most of them require $$ car seat adapters

FWIW I never once used the car seat in the stroller. I have the Baby Jogger City Select and the seat reclines almost completely flat so I just put DD in there with blankets...or I just wore her in the ring sling.
Symptoms/how are you feeling? I feel great. Nothing much to speak of.
Rants/Raves? Two things:
1. Kinda gross: Is anyone else experiencing this? The inside of my nose is swollen and I feel congested, especially when I wake up in the morning. When I go to blow my nose, it's usually pretty bloody. Gross, I know.
2. Dear H, Please god stop staring at my stomach all the time. I know I'm in some weird in between phase of fat vs. bump, but staring at my stomach is making me all weirded out.
QOTW: What are you looking forward to as we creep towards Spring? I'm just ready for warmer weather already.
mrsjene - I am blowing my nose much more frequently than usual during non-allergy times, and there's usually some blood in mine too. It is a pregnancy thing - both the congestion and the blood in the mucus. So a bit gross, but totally normal.

I'm wondering if there's anything that'll help like that saline nasal spray.
pismoduo I forgot to say that I use Beautiful Belly from Daily Burn. It's pretty basic/easy but I really feel like I still get some strength components and stretching. I already had Daily Burn though. It's pretty easy to make modifications (no twists, no isolated ab work, etc) in their regular yoga videos too, so if I get bored with the 9 videos they have (3 for each trimester) I can spice it up with the basic yoga videos.
I used to subscribe to Yoga Anytime and it was great. I imagine they have a lot of prenatal options as well.

That would help thin it out! The saline gel is good for dry noses too!

How many weeks? 11w5d
EDD? 9/22
Next appt? 4/1
Symptoms: still the same, nausea after eating and exhaustion.
Rants/raves: found out I haven't gained weight at my last appt! I'm hoping to maintain/ gain little this time around since I started off with extra weight.
QOTW: I'm looking forward to longer daylight hours and taking DS to the beach.
getzystark, I also have a Baby Jogger City Versa (same as cbowl) and have been very happy with it. We do have the car seat adapter (for the Chicco Keyfit 30), and we used it a ton when DD was an infant - she hated the regular stroller seat even with it fully reclined and an infant support pillow in there. Does anyone you know have the adapter so you could borrow it? We lent ours to our neighbors when they had #2.
BOBs are supposed to be amazing, but they are heavy and quite wide, so if you will be taking the stroller indoors a lot (restaurants, stores, etc.), the BOB could be a struggle. FWIW, I found stroller shopping incredibly stressful as well. The most helpful things for me were going to try out the strollers in person and reading Baby Bargains (book) and Lucie's List (website) - they really break down the pros/cons and features of each stroller.
singingsea, I also hated the snoogle and prefer a regular, long straight body pillow. Might be worth a try!
AFM:
How many weeks? 12 weeks today!
EDD? 9/20
Next Appointment? Thursday for my monthly appointment and Friday for the NT scan
Symptoms/how are you feeling? Still totally exhausted with underlying nausea on and off throughout the day (particularly in the evenings now).
Rants/Raves? We are embarking on some serious house projects - painting the entire interior, converting part of our common area to a play space for DD, converting our pantry to a mudroom-type space, and hopefully putting in a driveway (we're in the city, so street parking is the norm, but having a driveway is a huge convenience and adds tons of value). I'm excited but also anxious about getting everything done before #2 arrives!
QOTW: What are you looking forward to as we creep towards Spring? Being outside with DD and our pup as much as possible. DD loves taking walks and hitting the playground and beach. Plus, we have a zoo and working farm nearby that we try to visit 1-2 a year when the weather is nice.
caz1221, I have like two friends with babies. Neither have the same stroller. I'm going to stalk the BST Facebook group and look for used.
It's silly that I'm so pissed about a $60 part, but I will also have to buy the parent console and toddler tray eventually so that adds to my annoyance. The less expensive strollers would cost the same WITH a car seat and all of those extras. Buuuut they're no Baby Jogger.
getzystark, not silly at all - it's ridiculous that the adapter is $60 (I had forgotten it was that much since we bought ours 3 years ago). FWIW, we don't have a toddler tray (and haven't needed it), and I bought a much cheaper parent console after I read not-so-great reviews of the Baby Jogger brand one. Mine was ~$12 compared to $30 for Baby Jogger. Definitely worth looking into for some savings!

Which one did you get?! I forgot I could look into something different. Lolz. I'm usually a big bargain hunter. The stroller is the ONE thing we're splurging on. We're getting a crib given to us and everything else on the registry is minimal.
getzystark the city versa is different and has a more traditional stroller seat that is removable and can flip forward or rearfacing so I'm not sure about how bigger kids do in the GT or the Mini. I see them everywhere though.
I also never got a toddler bar or the baby jogger console. I think I bought the Diono brand for $8.99 on amazon.

If nothing else, it might help clear your sinuses a bit without blowing your nose, which might help cut down on the bleeding.
During allergy season I typically do a quick saline spray after a hot shower. The steam helps loosen stuff up as well.

Basic and easy is what I'm looking for. I used to do some light yoga before bed to relax, and now that we have so much going on my stress level is really going up and I'd like to start again. I'll look into this, thanks!
I feel like we should start a car seat/stroller thread. I was thinking about it this morning, trying to decide if it'd be easier to go to the dog park with a stroller or just baby wear. The dog park is pretty terrible in terms of ruts and soft spots in the ground, but bending over to clip the leash onto the dog when we leave seems like it'd be difficult to do while wearing a baby...

Not a bad idea pismoduo. I won't have anything to contribute yet, but I'm certainly up for learning from what others here have done/are planning to do/buy.
Symptoms/how are you feeling? I'm the girl who loves being pregnant--- but I got gas that won't quit
Rants/Raves? I'm frustrated with the insurance not covering the genetic screening/tests. I need to get over it.
QOTW: What are you looking forward to as we creep towards Spring? I like not having to drive home in the dark, I love all the things in bloom, I love the farmers market every week, walking our poor neglected pup more, Easter candy...
getzystark , I love having Daily Burn!!! Haven't done the pregnancy workouts yet, but man I love it.
I really like the Beautiful Belly videos. The instructor is sweet and it seems like just enough to make me work but not too much to make me feel dizzy.
I did a Les Miles Body Flow class the other day and I had to modify a lot. There was even one point that I was getting light headed so the Beautiful Belly videos are a perfect mix. Lots of stretching and breathing, which I think is a great reminder and practice for labor too!

Apparently cbowl and I are twins - I also have the Diono console (and it was even cheaper than I remembered!).
Next Appointment? 3/24; I have a compromised cervix so with the twins adding extra pressure they will measure my cervix and we will also confirm the sexes.
Symptoms/how are you feeling? +1 for the congestion and insomnia. I'm miserable. I just want a solid night of sleepppp
Rants/Raves? I'm really looking forward to seeing the twins in 2 weeks. I like getting so many ultra sounds
QOTW: What are you looking forward to as we creep towards Spring? Dresses!!
