I think we are having ours at the zoo this year. C loves the zoo and they take care of everything for you. It really isn't any more money than what we spent last year after everything was said and done.
I'm in complete denial! We're probably not doing much this year. We did two separate parties last year - one for family, and one for friends, and that is not happening! It's a Saturday, so maybe we'll have a few of her friends over? Not sure yet.
My grandfather is turning 80 the day before her birthday and has said all he wants is all his family with him, so we'll just throw in a 2nd birthday to that mix.
We are probably just going to do it at our house again. Inside because it will be in the triple digits. I am planning on doing Minnie Mouse - because they sell stuff for it everywhere. Last year I was so worn out by the time guests started arriving I felt like I was a zombie for the actual party.

Why is this happeningggggg?
I'm not sure yet, I'll either make a Minnie Mouse with Daisy cake or Daniel Tiger with Katerina. They are obsessed with both, although they do carry their 'Nina' and 'Tigey' more often now.
We may be visiting family out of state, or just staying here. If we stayed here we might do a zoo trip or go to the children's museum. No real party, unless we are visiting back 'home' and felt up to a small thing at a park.
I've been looking at presents, adding things to my Amazon wishlist. It's kind of hard to believe how quickly it's approaching!

No! I'm not ready! Mainly because I'll be 9 months pregnant. I need something easy that I don't have to mess with, and that means something at my house is OUT. I guess I need to start looking at places to book. Not thrilled about that.
If everyone I invite comes it would be 18 kids and 22 adults
I'd do zoo or museum then, depending on how hot it could be. Sky zone would be fun for the kids, but what are the 22 adults going to do while the kids are running around? At least the zoo and museum are interactive for all.
We will probably just do cake and presents with family, but I'm sure it will be Daniel Tiger themed in some way.
The only thing I am most likely getting him is a new big wheel type trike to replace the hand-me-down ones we have. That's if I can find one that he will be able to reach the pedals on before he's like 4 at the rate he's growing, lol. Maybe some other outdoor toys.
I reeeeeeaaaalllly want DH to get our yard prepped so we can finally get them a swing set (our yard is so uneven it's hard to find a good spot for it and the one spot that's good has all these huge boulders in the ground around it that makes it unsafe). So if my nagging gentle persuasiveness works, then I might just see if grandparents are still willing to go in on it instead of buying him more toys (they offered to help with one a couple years ago, we just haven't been able to do it yet).
We were pretty set on a Lion King/Lion Guard theme but now we are toying with the idea of making it Tsum Tsum Themed.
Tsum Tsums are those little shorts on Disney Channel, Z has been OBSESSED with them for like a year. There is really no general theme for it like the way "Jungle" would be for Lion King so, I'm trying to come up with a cohesive idea.
If it was Tsum Tsum, I'm thinking of mixing in some Disney themed cupcake decor like this
There are not many tsum tsum party inspirations at all! So I'm struggling lol..
Someone on here mentioned a tea for two theme. I love it, so that's what we're going with. It is going to be a shabby chic theme. I've been busy pinning ideas. I just need to start on them instead of waiting for the last minute like year.
I think LK might be a little easier littlemissmarla . I looked up safari parties and thought these might work too.
I love the tails! I think we will probably end up with Lion King, last year was Dumbo Circus and the color schemes are just too similar with Tsum Tsums.. haha my priorities.

Coming out of lurker land-no/low carb/sugar diet has me dreaming of birthday cake. Sigh. Last year we did an obnoxiously large housewarming/first birthday Sesame Street themed party and there are a TON of cool Sesame Street ideas on Pinterest. I went a little craycray with it so I'm hoping to keep myself under control with this party but...hard..to..resist...
I originally thought a Mr Rogers theme would be fun, with a little trolley & castle on a cake & I saw something online where you can make a ziploc bag look like Rogers cardigan with the "zipper" and put favors or snacks in but DS is OBSESSED with Peppa Pig so if the love continues for her I guess that will be our theme which I'm a little more stumped on so far

We'll be doing a house party with a tent like last year. I'll prob rent the bouncy house this year since she'd love that. I really wish we had a pool...
In terms of theme I think we'll go with Sesame Street. She's basically obsessed with Sesame Street and Elmo and Abby and Cookie Monster. So that's prob our theme.
We're going to visit H's family the weekend before (4th of July weekend), so they're throwing something up there. For home, considering renting the park picnic space next to the carousel. Also considering doing nothing! Lol.
I'm going to be 7 months pregnant so I'm planning on having a pool party/BBQ. Something easy with no theme. We don't have very many friends where we live yet so it will be mostly family. I may rent a bounce house depending on the budget that month.
