To join in on the mild freakout about having so much to do - a FB friend just posted a picture of their completed nursery, and she's due mid-July. I still have to get rid of the furniture in that room, replace the carpet, then pick out furniture and set it up. To be fair, some of our delay is because we haven't heard back from the owner (we rent) on what company they want us to use for the carpet, but I'm definitely feeling the time crunch.
My schedule this week is out of control. Everyday after work, I have 2-3 obligations: Interview Web Developers (for my freelance company), interview sitters, meet with potential clients, redo my son's room, etc. I am tired and ready for next week to get here so I can just sit on my butt and do nothing!
What makes it all better? This Pop-Tart is REALLY good!
What kind of pop tart? I love the s'mores ones, untoasted! dessert for breakfast!
After yesterday's waddle comment from a coworker my Nurse Manager and CNO both told me today they didnt think I would make it to my due date of 5/4. My nurse manager said she thought I would deliver around April 7th (so, 36 weeks) and the CNO agreed.
Wtf.
This is all day every day for me from the gym people. They also wonder when I'm going on bed rest.
I just saw a commercial for a new Venus razor called the swirl or something like that. It made me think of everyone on here trying to shave their lady gardens lol. Apparently the hhead of the razor swivels to make it easier to shave!! I'm definitely going to be trying this.
No matter how easy they make razors I'll still manage to slice a flap off Eh!!!!!

katietopaz - I hear you. I have to first move my 6 yr old son downstairs in a new room (paint the new room, do hardwoods, added a wall, etc). Then-- move DD into his old room, then FINALLY create the new baby's nursery in her old room. Tons to do before I see a nursery anytime in my future.
Uuuuugh we just had our first baby hands in the poopy diaper experience... I mean, he is almost 20 months so I guess I should be happy it took this long, but ewwwwww!

amelandre - Oh boy...good times. My son used to do that constantly. So, so gross!!
My grandma keeps running into the mother of my childhood best friend who is due with her first baby boy a whole week before me. Crazy coincidence! Anyway, she sent me the invite list for my shower and included the mother on there and I really don't want her to get an invite. The childhood best friend and I are friends on Facebook and keep in touch a little bit on there but we haven't really spoken since the 5th grade. It feels weird to invite her Mom and I feel like sending the invite would be really gift grabby. Am I overthinking this? Is it rude to call my grandma and have her removed from the guest list?
Wearing my first pair of maternity pants. They help to shape the "lump" I have. Had to purchase bc I finally had to leave my house for work (I work from home 95% of the time). My bump hasnt been a bump really, just always looked like I was getting heavier in the stomach but all love handles were still in place.
I am an auditor and my contact at the place I am auditing said "you're so little" when I told her I am pregnant and due date. I am overweight to begin with and this woman has seen me once a year for the last 8 years. She has seen me as a size 4 and a size 18....she is also a TWIG. Like I'm talking size 0 or smaller. She has 2 little ones.
So for her to say I look small made me feel happy. Lol. Why didnt I cave to maternity pants sooner?!?!?
I don't trust girls that do that. I feel like they're trying to get information to use against you later on.
This happened to me way too many times so I just started answering back with a "Fine. Thank you." and not offering any more than that. I don't even ask them how they're doing because they want to keep talking like they're your best friend or something. Shut up bitch. You don't like me, I don't like you, lets not pretend to be friends.
Seriously! This is exactly it! I hate even telling my dad anything because I know she will hear about it and blab all over Facebook. I don't have Facebook for a reason. I don't like watching my "friends" whine all fucking day about stupid shit. Face bookers in my age group are just...no. I'm gonna go off and rant/vent for a second. If anyone wants to read, bless your heart. DH was having breathing problems awhile back and was in the doctors office in a hospital gown so I sent my dad a picture saying "we switched places!" Cause I'm always the one in the hospital. Then like two hours later my SIL took a screen shot of my dad's GF's Facebook and that picture was up and it said "hope he's in for a vasectomy!" WHAAAAAAT?! I was so fucking pissed. I thought I was going to get extremely violent. 1. My DH's penis is NOT something you need to even have in your mind the slightest. 2. Just because he is on his 3rd kid and he's 25 that doesn't mean ANY of them are mistakes/regrets/your business.3. FUCK YOU BITCH.
I'm 25 and on my third. Does that mean I need a my tubes ties??? WHAT JERKS!
I know this is a weird question and a little TMI, but I have googled and can't find anything worth buying.
Does anyone know where I can find Maternity Lingerie? Feel free to laugh at me.
Sexy lingerie? I know Hot Milk Maternity has some cuter bras and nighties but if you're looking for Victoria Secret material then you might be out of luck. Maybe you can just size up?
Okay I couldn't help myself and looked up the nutritional facts for pop tarts. LOL lgsdesigner Come on now. You didn't really believe they had fiber and vitamins, right?
viola and t1green Thanks ladies!! Yall rock! V-day and my anniversary is coming up and we are going on a babymoon. I can't fit my boobs into anything I currently have.

I don't get jealous of people having showers but I get so jealous of people going on babymoons!! Have fun!
My mid-term evaluation is next week and I schedule myself time today to update my performance objectives for this current fiscal year. So you all know: I loathe writing performance objectives. Like loathe-with-the-heat-of-1000-suns loathe. It's my least favorite thing to do in the working world and I dread it every single time. I took the morning to work from Starbucks so I could at least write them without interruption, and while enjoying a delicious hot beverage....but I still hated doing it.

*and one more for robotpcr specifically: I also went to buy some package wrapping paper so I can mail that Crown Royal box tomorrow! Woot woot for marking things off the (never ending) to-do list!

viola - Ha! Hey-- 5g's of fiber isn't too shabby, but the vitamins? Wellllll...hey...they are mentioned on the boxes, so it HAS to be true, right? RIGHT??
Speaking of day cares...We're doing in-home day care because the centers cost too much, but it's making me crazy because most places are telling me it's too early to know their schedules in August...I want to know how much daycare is going to cost us so we can prepare!!!
How are you going about finding these in-home care places? I am hoping that one of the ladies that I know personally will have room for an infant but if not I want to be able to find someone that I trust. I sent an email to DH about wanting to do in-home care rather than daycare and this was his response....
H: "I agree, but… see below"

My interview went great this morning. There were three men interviewing me, but it was the most comfortable interview I've had. I feel like they were very pleased with me. Fx i get it!

I've had to sit in on meetings for the last 6 months about putting in place our new performance appraisal system because I support our executive management. I dread each and every single one of those meetings and have a very hard time hiding it.
lgsdesigner I guess 5g of fiber in those is better than the less than 1g in the cherry one you had. Still, not something I'd be defending but I'll let it go now. Thanks for the laugh

@gfj48 - I use SitterCity, and I told everyone up front in my intro profile when childcare would need to begin, and what ballpark range I can afford. Most in-home sitters in my area cost between $150-$175 a week for newborn care, if that helps any. Plus-- you can do background checks on these sitters on that site. Always a good thing!
